For added flair you can wear this vest or the rocky robe over your shirt. You can take this or leave it.

I don't think you can really pull off a belt with the above pants, but if you go with the ones in your link or something like them, here is belt buckle for you.

No trashy American outfit is complete without an American flag bandana on your head.

You can top it all off with this bad ass aviators.

Edit: The star trek shirt I bought a men's medium on Amazon, then held one of my properly fitting t-shirts over it, chopped off the sleeves, and tailored in the chest/waist area. The girl's shirts are never long enough, and the dresses are hilariously short.

Pretty much all the respectable ready-to-buy starfleet uniforms on the web are by Rubie's Costume Co. The ones pictured here are almost certainly this Rubie's top. They're sold by various web stores, including Newegg, BuyCostumes, and Amazon. Other uniforms (usually lower quality, but YMMV) can be purchased on Ebay.

Alternatively, if you're a crazed sewing nut, you can buy a pattern on Roddenberry.com.

The Rubie's costumes are alright. Not perfect, but passable. And rather inexpensive. They're definitely worth the money, as far as that goes. My favoured uniform is just based around a Rubie's top which I got custom tailored after purchase.

The pips and combadge that come with a Rubie's costume are like the uniform - passable, not great. Roddenberry.com also sells a combadge and rank pips which are much better than Rubie's pips for screen accuracy, so there's an alternative there.

Honestly? You don't have enough time to make it yourself unless you've already made a few garments of complexity in the past. You will need to order online. Do you - or, since you mention school- your parents have Amazon prime? This shirt with these trousers won't look ridiculous. It's not what would have been worn but it won't stand out terribly much either.

Buy one of these and have it made into a tie. You're short $30 if you can make it yourself, maybe $60 if another can.

You could just wear this. Mere 25 dollars off amazon. Wear it with black pants, and you're set. I used it at Dragon con this year. Comes with the pins on the neck for rank.
The insignia is pretty crappy, but other than that, it's very solid in appearance.
If you're in between sizes, I'd reccomend going a size up. I kinda bounce between medium and large, and went with medium. Little too snug. Looks fine, but it's uncomfortable and I keep havin to pull it down.

so long as the one you actually add to your cart is the "deluxe" version, it's actually really good. I mean it's not hundreds of dollars so it's not screen accurate or anything, but it's fine for anything short of a high production value fan film...

The sizing's tricky. I'd say if you're on the line between sizes, just get the bigger one.

Any ideas where to buy a Star Trek uniform for a tall skinnyish guy? (6"4')

I was looking at this on Amazon but a lot of the reviews said it's not something you want if you're tall. I'm unsure of where to look to find Halloween costumes that would be long enough. I already have black dress pants and shoes that I'll wear so I'd like to spend around $50ish if possible but will go higher if needed.

Or any ideas of where to look for costumes that'd fit me?

This shirt is actually pretty good quality. The communicator is part of the shirt, but raised to look like it's not, and the rank pips need to be ironed on, but still looks good. The material is very good quality for a "premade costume".
