The best - undisputed, an absolute marvel and benchmark in portable gaming. So many emotions, forever nostalgia.
The worst - I am just salty it isn't longer, thats why. It shouldn't be playing with my fucking heart like that
Heart Gold and SoulSilver are both $294.99 each on Amazon.
It’s been well established that Cory in the House holds the title of best 3DS game there is, was, or ever will be

It's a matter of opinion. I think that FTL looks pretty nice while Terraria looks like crap, yet I never grew up with games that looked like that.
BTW, it's not 8-bit graphics. This is 8-bit. Note how everything isn't really shaded. Now compare it to Terraria. 8-bit means there is a 256 colour scheme. Here is the total amount of colours you can achieve on an 8-bit console. While it may seem like a lot, it's not that much if you compare it to what we have today.
Pixel art is the correct term. Terraria and most other games are usually either 16-bit or 32-bit, meaning you can have a more diverse colour scheme.
Most indie games aren't 8-bit, they're usually 16-bit or higher. Of course, there are some that try to be/are 8-bit (Cave Story and VVVVVV comes to mind), and since "8-bit" is fairly easy to copy (quick to make and easy to animate, as the sprites are usually small).
So if you have a limited budget (which 99% of indie devs do), then you'll more likely to get out more content/polish things up if you didn't spend 50 hours doing sprites.
Bottom line is this: most indie games use pixel art, not "8-bit graphics". And whether or not you like it is all up to you, it's your opinion.
Sorry if this came off as ranty, I just find it annoying when somebody gets the two terms mixed up.
I have a Hori game case that holds 24 of 'em. Amazon page here, though it's also available in other colors (I have an entirely translucent one).
Good quality, should last a long time if used properly (don't just push the cartridge in from the top, slide it in pushing against the inner tab. It has a slight amount of give to it to prevent breakage).
I also have one of those same cheap Chinese ones and you're right - the tabs on those break easily.
Are you taking about this thing?
Chrono Trigger DS is still being printed and widely available! Amazon has it for $23.69 right now.
https://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1499465576&sr=1-1&keywords=chrono+trigger
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward has one of the best stories of any game i've ever played, and it happens to be on 3DS. It is, however, a sequel to the equally amazing 999 for DS. I would recommend getting 999 and finding out if it grabs you the same way it grabbed me, and then getting VLR if you want to. You can get 999 for 25 dollars on amazon. Very much worth it. http://www.amazon.com/9-Hours-Persons-Doors-Nintendo-DS/dp/B003VR5PPY Fair Warning: They are choose your own adventure visual novels. With lots of puzzles throughout. That being said they are still both fun and gripping games.
The World Ends With You. Hands down, flat-out, bar none. This game pulls off a miracle by making the gameplay and the plot about the same thing.
Have you got a Gameboy (or DS!)? Any Gameboy will do! You got it?? Good!! Now, depending on the generation of Gameboy in your hand, follow one of these links:
Original -> Pokemon Red / Pokemon Blue / Pokemon Yellow - Pikachu Edition
Gameboy Color -> Pokemon Silver / Pokemon Gold / Pokemon Crystal
Gameboy Advance -> Pokemon Ruby / Pokemon Sapphire / Pokemon Emerald
Nintendo DS -> Pokemon Diamond / Pokemon Pearl / Pokemon Platinum
Nintendo DS -> Pokemon Black / Pokemon White
... and sort your life out!
EDIT: As people rightly pointed out, no 3DS Pokemon yet, fixed it!

That's... so weird. Just keep the cartridge. It has resale value. You never have to worry about being unable to play it.
I say just get a nice game case. I got this one from Amazon recently for my growing collection.
I also own this game case, and it came with a plastic clip shaped like a DS game that fits an SD card specifically for this purpose. It's kind of useless to me since my SD card is always in my 3DS (The one in the picture is a spare), but it's convenient for this case because I only have 17 physical games (So far).
Cory in the house.
Highly rated game but a shit game. I don’t get it. Granted is a DS game.

You have no idea how long i've been looking for a decently priced copy of soul silver ಠ_ಠ https://www.amazon.ca/Nintendo-45496740634-Pokemon-SoulSilver-Version/dp/B0038MTE7C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1510640336&sr=8-2&keywords=soul+silver
Okay So i just bought a New DS XL and I have been looking at games I would like. Then your comment comes along and tells me that they have indeed my favorite game of all time for a system I have just bought. WET PANTS. Then I look to purchase this game and find this http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-SoulSilver-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MTE7C
Thats right $129.99!?! that surely can not be the correct price...
Totally recommend this case holds up to 24 cards, sd card slot is removable, and all of the games fit perfectly!
This: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1525788654&sr=8-6&keywords=3ds%2Bstorage%2Bcard&dpID=410FbVi3AML&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1
come on
you know you want to
I found a really good awesome cases on Amazon.ca.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01G3X6ZME/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Super legit case. I love how the case is secured and connected by hinges(I have two New 3DS XL and two New 3DS systems. Some hinges of the systems are more loose, there seems to always be a variance or play) But this case makes your 3DS really sturdy and protects it.
They also have it for the New 3DS XL....
EDIT: Also for pouches and traveling, just buy any 3DS case and it will fit/suffice. I use this https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01J75ZEHM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00DWXUYN0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this one for at home https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00VB0I8U2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Wash hands before playing, don't eat while you play, keep it in a hard pouch/case, use a screen protector, clean using a microfiber cloth, don't do stupid stuff like jam a coin into the circle pad to hatch eggs in pokemon.
For example, I use these for pouch / cloth / screen protector: https://smile.amazon.com/HORI-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo-NEW-3DS/dp/B00RZ7TC82
cloth: https://smile.amazon.com/Zeiss-Jumbo-Microfiber-Lens-Cloth/dp/B008PNNY02
screen protector: https://smile.amazon.com/HORI-Screen-Protective-Filter-Nintendo-NEW/dp/B00RZ7T8TK
edit - to add to this, I personally wrap my 3ds in the microfiber cloth before putting it in the pouch
No shovelware collection is complete without this gem:
http://www.amazon.com/Cory-House-Nintendo-DS/dp/B00134YL8E/
It's cheap, too, so you have no excuse.
Hey OP, I have some suggestions for you (these are on the DS side of things, as I don't have a 3DS yet because I've been mainly PC gaming). I copied this from one of my earlier posts on the same subject.
Other games that have been strongly recommended by others (but I have not played):
Amazon...? https://www.amazon.com/World-Ends-You/dp/B00136MBHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492000462&sr=8-1&keywords=the+world+ends+with+you
All great suggestions, but I haven't seen anyone mention Chrono Trigger
https://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001E27DLM
For both N3DS and N3DSXL systems
Some of these can also be found from retailers online, like Best Buy and Target. I generally use Best Buy, Amazon, and eBay, but check other retailers just in case.
Case: Looking for a protector that protects your system from scratches? Most people recommend the HORI TPU case. NA currently has one for the XL (LL in Japan), but you'll have to import one for the standard size.
Looking for a pouch to keep your system from dust or to carry on-the-go and protect them from falls? There's sooo many options you can just search up on Amazon and eBay, not to mention other Japanese import sites.
Screen Protectors: Screens will inevitably get scratched, as careful as anyone can be. If you're someone who cannot stand scratches or want to keep your system in perfect condition, you can't go wrong with screen protectors.
Micro SD card: Can't go wrong with Sandisk, and I purchased the 32GB since that's the highest Nintendo says the system will support. Any higher and you have to format it to FAT32 in your PC so the system will recognize it. Any good brand will be fine though, but I just go with Sandisk all the time.
Stylus: This DSi stylus is so damn comfortable. I never thought it mattered because I just put up with the cramping, but I purchased some items on the Nintendo Online store, so I went for it. It's all I use now. The cheapest shipping is $5 on the store though, so go for it when you're ordering other items with it.
Customization?
For N3DS
Coverplates: Amazon.JP if you have a forwarding service like Tenso. I like AmiAmi, but it's hard to catch the plates sometimes. PlayAsia tends to be more pricey, so sometimes you're better off just looking on eBay if your last resort is PlayAsia.
For N3DSXL and N3DS
Charms: Basically the same as the above. Many options around Etsy, just search what you want up. Up to your discretion. :)
Overall
Yeah, I'm a HORI fan. Their products have been solid for me, so I have no qualms with them. I just wish more of their products would appear in NA so shipping times would be shorter, but I think the wait times have been worth it anyway.
The 2DS is a 3DS model, so you can play 3DS games as well. If you are going to use an R4 card, you'll have to pay attention to firmware versions and what cards work with which ones.
I personally don't use an R4 card, I just grab a few DS or 3DS games every now and then when there's a good sale. It's not really worth the hassle for me, plus I like having access to the eShop.
You can also put all of your DS and 3DS games in a Hori case, which I found works really well.
It's $24 on amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487111737&sr=8-1&keywords=ds+chrono+trigger

Frozen, Golden Sun, Tangled, Avatar, Wreck-it Ralph!
I call this my "Executive 3DS case".
People think it's a smartphone case when they see it on my desk.
Edit: Also, I'm 45. I'm not much younger than the old farts that manage me.
I don't know about you, but http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-Black-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B004EW2PC6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1302330395&sr=8-1 is really hard for me to type in on my phone, even shortened url's can be a giant pain when all I have is the software input panel on my HTC Surround. QR codes are awesome, I point my camera at them and my browser opens up whatever lengthy URL I need to go to. I don't know why so many people consider them gimmicky or useless, they aren't there to 'replace' existing information like URL's and contact information, but to augment it and make it easier to get into a users phone.
Please, Pleaaase start with the first game on the DS, then work your way towards completing them in order. It is a very strongly story based driven game. You will miss out on huge chunks of story if you start elsewhere.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000B69E96?pc_redir=1409109331&robot_redir=1
It's on Amazon for around twenty bucks.
EDIT: Why was he down voted? Why was I down voted? Proof- http://www.amazon.com/World-Ends-You-Nintendo-DS/dp/B00136MBHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427720605&sr=8-1&keywords=the+world+ends+with+you
http://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001E27DLM. Sorry this is considered Chrono Trigger . my bad
I know they have Chrono Trigger for Android now. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_googleplay.chrono&hl=en
They also have it for DS. http://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001E27DLM
Other DS games I have liked are The World Ends with You, FF III, FF IV, and Advanced Wars.
Assassin's Creed is a great game series, but it's pretty violent - you play an assassin, after all. If you want to give it a shot, start with AC2 - it's a much better game than AC1.
Given that you liked Phoenix Wright (oh I do love Feenie.. there need to be more games in that series like yesterday), you could give Ghost Trick a shot. It's got a very similar sort of "feel" to it, though it's a bit more puzzle-y and less investigate-y, if that makes sense. It's by the same folks who did PW, for what that's worth, and I highly enjoyed it. I found the puzzle concepts really neat, too.
And given that you like mystery novels, I recommend 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. Lots of drama, puzzles, decisions, and many different endings. Also lots of reading - it feels more like a book than PW did, to me. I haven't finished this one myself, but it sounds like it might be something you would enjoy. I liked it well enough, it was just more serious that what I was looking for at the time, and I haven't gone back to it yet.
Note, I'm assuming you have a DS of some fashion, since you said you'd played PW; both Ghost Trick and 999 are DS games.
Hope you find something that you enjoy, and happy gaming!
My favorites:
[Sweet Fuse: At Your Side] (https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/sweet-fuse-at-your-side/cid=UP1024-ULUS10652_00-BAKUDANHANDAN001)
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
Corpse Party
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows
999 already mentioned by another in this thread.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward The sequel to 999.
Also, to a lesser extent anything by Winter Wolves. I've played a few and a lot of them are now on Steam too. These contain a bit more busy work than I'd like, but some solid stories there.
The clear Hori case is nice. I have the red one with my red 3ds xl, but it will keep the outside of your console safe. The Hori carrying case is nice too, but only holds 6 games (7 if you keep one in the 3ds). I have this one:
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Mario-Pouch-Nintendo-Black/dp/B00DWXUYN0/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1393959834&sr=1-1&keywords=hori+mario+case
Surprisingly it's $2 cheaper than the regular. The 3ds with the protective cover fits in this case, but it's a tight fit.
Why don't you like screen protectors? I have screen protectors on all my electronics with screens, but I follow a long process to get them on. I don't even notice my screen protectors anymore. I don't know about the circular bumpers, but I'm also worried about scratching up my bottom screen with the stylus. Good luck.
I imported mine from Japan. It is made specifically for the n3DS. It holds 3 physical games, and has dual zippers.
You can get it for $14 on eBay.
I also use this Mario case. It has a slot for a long stylus, which I use alot. It holds 6 games, and has dual zippers aswell. Although its bigger, it includes n3DS on the package along with the XL, but a strap to hold it in.
Hori 24 game case
Edit: Oops didn't see that you wanted a cloth case.
Here you go the only one you need!
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405101915&sr=8-1&keywords=3ds+game+case
I got the Hori 3DS game card case on Amazon. It's $9.99. It has slots for 24 game cards (one of which is really for an SD card) and holds both 3DS and DS game cards. I can also fit a spare stylus in it although I'm not sure if there is a designated space for it or not. Anyway, this case seems OK to me. I have had others that broke but this one hasn't yet.
Not OP but i've been looking into these portable systems for a while. Supposedly these are a bit better than the Supaboy, but without having owned either I couldn't tell ya.

Definitely can find it cheaper than this, but link in case you needed it for reference.
Just go buy Chrono Trigger for the DS
> ing AS/OR
AS/OR are still in production, so yeah, easy.
I recently did a calculation of all of the main series pokemon games if I bought them used on Amazon, the total was nearly 1000 dollars.
Even look at Pokemon Plat
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001O1OBFY/
70 dollars for a used crappy copy.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000047GEI/
50 bucks for a decent used copy of yellow.
Pokemon is not cheap.
Brand new copies are $10.75 on Amazon.
Man, your seller must've been in a hurry or didn't check what others were selling for. HeartGold BY ITSELF goes for about $100.
I use this case for my XL. I keep it in my back pocket. Not oversized pockets, feels heavy but it keeps it cushioned and holds 3 games, which means I can have 4 on hand.
Yep, the credit doesn't apply to EVERYTHING but it works for most things. Just read the Bonus Offers near the release date. You can get either black or white, of course.
Hmm.. I would say check out This as a starter, since there are a couple of games in the series. But it is cheap enough, I'm assuming your budget is less than 30 dollars since that's the typical 3DS/DS game prices. But I would say check out Phoenix Wright, it's a pretty good puzzle game and it makes you think on your feet on what to say during the trials. I normally don't like thinking on my feet, but it's fun to see the consequences change when you mess up, so yes. it is possible to fail a case and move onto another one.
You can also check out Animal Crossing: New Leaf for a simple game as well. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as well for a puzzle/action game. That's all I can think off on the top of my head for the 3/DS games. Enjoy! :)
One can only wish
OP forgot to say, he got this from Amazon reviews.
Sounds like you need Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS. As you can see, it has nothing but stellar reviews. I'm sure you could beat it in no time!
You may not be super down for another JPRG, but The World Ends With You is perhaps the best JRPG on the system.
The World Ends With You, it recently got an English Android remake too, so check that out.
Did you have an original DS/have you played any of those yet? The DS has a ton of great titles that you can play on your 3DS if didn't start there (or even if you did!)
Here's a long list of random games that you might enjoy:
I luckily got it for $22 sealed from amazon prime a year ago. Now its $53 for the same exact thing I got a year ago!
Chrono Trigger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_E7j0BbECPFQRW
anyone know why it got so rare all of a sudden?
get the DS version. It's as good as the final fantasy 1 psp remake
i'm not joking, there's not even any debate to this, the DS one is flat out the best version
i feel like the people that say any different just didn't play it, there's even an option to not use the second screen so it plays almost exactly like the snes version
get it on DS
here's the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494223980&sr=8-1&keywords=chrono+trigger+ds
new copies are $24 and the shipping is free if you get like another dollar worth of select products, so grab yourself a cheap dvd or something
i'm dead serious, this is the only thing i ever flat out shut people down on when debating
DS port is god tier, get it
I would love to have it so i can play my pokemon emerald game! And get more GBA games too if possible.
This is the DS game i want, it looks fun.
Radler is rad
This was mostly what i was referring to, which is as you said, new in the box (i think.)
This is my favorite case for the 3DS XL, says it's for the DSi XL so you can get it really cheap and fits the system and games perfectly. The "leather" actually feels surprisingly nice, one of the better feeling fakes for sure. Inside is your typical soft case material. It's thinner than many of the zipper designs and probably protects a little less, but if you're throwing it in a bag the size is great.
This is what I have for my 3DSXL. I love it http://amzn.com/B003QWYX8E
https://www.amazon.com/9-Hours-Persons-Doors-Nintendo-DS/dp/B003VR5PPY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468780715&sr=8-1&keywords=9+hours+9+persons+9+doors
55 new from CDN$26
Super happy birthday to you! I hope it's a great one.
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/
I have this one:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=twister_B004SLTGF2?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
There are cheaper variants, but I can't speak for how effective they are. This one holds cartridges very firm into place so they don't fall out ever, while still being easy to take out from the sides.
You need one of these
I got the hard case so I can carry it in my purse without having to worry about scratches and it'll hold a few games, stylus, AR cards and cable cord. Only complaint I've seen on videos is there's like a 1/2" wiggle room side to side, but don't think it'll beat up too much in my purse, or can modify it with a little strip of sponge/cushion.
I also got a case for 24 games because I don't like sorting through each game box, and a lot of used stuff I got from Game Stop came in a paper sleeve.
I got an extra power cord so I don't have to keep unplugging it from room to room, but would definitely recommend a USB cable, I'm probably going to get one of those as well, but was sold out when I went looking last week.
I'm sure you can price shop - but that's what I picked up as a new 3DS XL owner!
Edit: OH!! Definitely get a top and bottom screen protector - I got the Invisible Shield or whatnot from Best Buy while I was there, I didn't want my pretty new screen scratched from all the tap tap tapping.
Don't include the ROMs, and you're golden. Really though, since the SNES/NES patents have been dead, there are plenty of decent clones available already...and they're portable. I have the SupaBoy and it's pretty neat and I've heard really good things about the PokeFAMI DX but I believe it can only play Super Famicom games.
[EDIT] Actually it looks like they sell a version of it without an OS? So maybe you can do whatever with it.
I use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019IFIJW8/
It can output power and input at the same time (charge and discharge simultaneously). It can use type c or micro usb for charging. It can output 3a via type c. For a power bank, it has everything you need
And for a case I'll get one very similar to this one because it is not overly bulky, but still very sturdy.
HORI makes some pretty cool cases. I just picked up this retro 8-bit Zelda case about a month ago. I love it so far. They even make a Mario and Luigi variation. All of them have space for six games and an extra stylus slot.
I got the retro Mario Hard Pouch from Hori and I'm in love with it. On Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Zelda-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo/dp/B00ND0EBP4 I have this one and I love it if toy look in the related items they have more of Zelda isn't your thing.
I have this one from Hori. I have an N3DS but the pouch is for an XL which fits perfectely.
Also, I just noticed the pouch carries only 6 cartridges.
I would like it so I can finally give my little sister my gameboy advance that she's wanted for years. I would love this game in used condition! Radler is rad!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004EW2PC6/ref=sr_1_cc_3_olp?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1372654769&sr=1-3-catcorr&keywords=pokemon+white&condition=used
If this is sold, you dont need to get me a game - I appreciate the DS alone.
I don't know how much bigger it would have been, but it's already pushing portability for a handheld as it is with the Joy-Cons included.
It's not that digital media isn't popular, it's that I don't see the inconvenience of carrying a game seperately when compared to having a lighter slimmer handheld. I keep my 3ds games in one of These and it's worked out very well.
Nintendo has a lot of "official products" that they don't make, but they license other companies to make. For example, these are official Nintendo game cases too.
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS
As for the Club Nintendo rewards game cases, they're not available right now. People sell them on eBay for around $20-25.
I like the Hori game card case, if you're looking for any case and not that one in particular.
I like the HORI ones, like this one. They fit 24 games, have a nice form, and are sturdy enough for what they're meant to do.
I've been using this for months and I love how portable it is
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462408829&sr=8-1&keywords=nintendo+3ds+game+case
Those Hormel Compleats meals. I tried the Turkey and Dressing; I microwaved it, took a whiff, was mildly disgusted... and I took a bite. Worst bite of food I've ever taken, let me tell you. It's like eating matter almost.
In any case, here's the item. Just thinking of those compleats makes my stomach turn.
Since you do own a lot of physical games and like them, consider this case!
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1498069243&sr=8-3&keywords=nintendo+3ds+game+case
I just got one it's pretty small and even holds regular DS cartridges
welcome aboard, you have a nice set of games
You can something like this:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_LVEFzb5MSEVWM
There are plenty of other different kinds of games cases to choose from though
I don't personally own it because I only have 2 loose cartridges, but I hear great things about this case.
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS
^Very good point; I wanted to mention this as well but forgot.
The Club Nintendo case is nice though I would recommend http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS if extra dollars can be spared. More compact!
Amazon carries it for the price listed on Hori's website! Here's the link.
You can get a 3DS case that can hold your games and system or you can look to get a game card holder
That case was based on this officially licensed case by Hori: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451868386&sr=8-1&keywords=hori+3ds+game+case
I have both the original and the knock-off, and the original has all the cards rightside-up, and it has a removable clip for your sd card. The original is also considerably more durable, since my knock-off is on its last legs after a couple of desk-height falls.
The preview images have a little plastic insert in the steelbook that has space for two of the cartridges. I'm betting it's just the steelbook without any other game case, but I could be wrong.
If you want to play it safe, you could get one of those cartridge cases: https://smile.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS
or get the games individually at $32 each. Or, give your friend the steelbook.
Amazon.com offers this 24 game case for $9.99.
Just a suggestion... I just recently bought this one. It holds the game tight and is pretty nice and compact. I do wish I would have gotten the case from clubnintendo, but don't have the coins for it either. It isn't available anywhere else. Haven't been able to find it on eBay either.
The only thing I am hoping, is that with it all being discontinued, they'll some how end up on their site for regular ordering.
If you are in for shipping to Canada, then I'm in. I miss pokemon
I would be interested =] Of course pokemon is my favorite, played it on my old gameboys =P Thanks for the contest! =]
Hi :)
Pokemon Black 2
I havent had a chance to get it yet.. and I really want to play because its pokemon... lol
Animal Crossing: Wild World: It's an amazing game and was one of my first games on a Nintendo DS. There's so much to do in the game and I would really recommend it. Also, the more recent Animal Crossing (New Leaf) is a huge improvement from Wild World. I would deeply recommend that aswell, but it's for 3DS.
Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands: Harvest Moon is a game that's similar to Animal Crossing but it's mostly about looking after your farm, growing crops, raising animals, etc. It's extremely fun and a huge time sink.
Pokemon Black 2: It's a Pokemon game, you can't really go wrong. It's like every other Pokemon game - Fun as heck! You can also buy Pokemon White 2 which is just about the same with little differences like the UI. A list of differences can be found HERE.
My list may not really be descriptive as they're my personal opinion on the games, but if you want to know more about the games, ask me :)
Favorite video game... probably any of the pokemon games
I would LOVE THIS. I had to sell my DSI about a month ago to help me boyfriend pay a bill and it made me so sad, his sister is letting me barrow her old school DS while I wait to get a new one!(which honestly isn't gonna be anytime soon :() Thanks for the contest.
This game is my favourite and tthe only reason I have a ds in the first place!

I prefer the Retro Duo Portable. Because, well, its portable. Plays SNES straight into the system, NES with adapter (comes with purchase) and Genesis games with adapter (sold separately)
Always keep mine ( a SNES 3DS XL) in this case:
https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Mario-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo/dp/B00DWXUYN0/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=hori+case+for+3dsxl&qid=1556819805&s=gateway&sr=8-1&x=0&y=0

Trying to keep it pristine.
I have an 8 Bit Zelda case that holds 6 games. I also have a 64 GB SD card in my 3DS. I tend to buy single player games physical but multiplayer games digital so it's always with me and I can throw down with my son at a moment's notice.
Cases like this will totally fit:
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Zelda-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo/dp/B00ND0EBP4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422474932&sr=8-1&keywords=3ds+xl+link+case
Cases that fit over your 3ds while you use it, like the HORI TPU cases, will obviously not fit. There is a new version of them coming out though.
The charging cradle is great, unfortunately it leaves you unable to put a case on the new 3DS. If you want to protect it from scratches, you can use a skin. There are clear skins if you want to preserve the look of your 3DS. If you want to change things up a bit, you could buy a skin with a design, or design your own. I made this one at decalgirl.com. If you don't want a full skin, there are some cool decals to be found on ebay and etsy.
If you want a pouch, most made for the older 3ds XL will fit the new one. There are simple ones like this from Hori. It is currently available in all black or with various graphics (Zelda, Mario, NES controller), and it also has room for 6 game cartridges. If you want something fancier, there is the popular city slicker and gear pouch pro from sfbags, or you could get something custom from etsy.
As for screen protectors, the new 3ds xl has the same size screens as the older model, so any screen protectors that fit the old xl will work.

This. If you wanna game a bit while you stroll on the treadmill for some post-workout cool-down that's ok.
I've never understood the people that go to the gym and spend the whole time on treadmills, cycles, elliptical.
If you wanna change your body, the free weight area is where you want to be. Get whatever music works for you, and get your head in the game.
That said if you want to keep your 3ds safe, my recommendation would be something from HORI
The Hori Line is fantastic. There are mario/zelda themed ones out as well.
I highly recommend.
Probably this
I have this and it holds 6 games
Uh...what? These were almost all DS exclusives.
The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts, 999, Chinatown Wars, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania, Contra, Elite Beat Agents, Phoenix Wright, Professor Layton, Scribblenauts and N+
Oh, I would love it!
One of my favorite video games: http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Wright-Ace-Attorney-Nintendo-DS/dp/B000B69E96/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370579269&sr=8-1&keywords=phoenix+wright
Wait but I thought you were looking for 3DS games....?
There are Professor Layton games for DS as well that are really good, if you have one of those. I also LOVE the Phoenix Wright games. They sound kind of boring but they're so much fun, so challenging and absolutely the best games I've ever played. And they also take forever to play so such a good investment. You can get the first one for $20 on Amazon.. It is actually the best game I've ever played (at least on DS) I think.
The medium is generally called Visual Novels. As story-telling vehicles, they run the range of linear stories with pictures and music to the equivalent of those old D&D "gamebooks" with character sheets and combat systems and if you rolled a 4 turn to page 88. (Though if it goes too far in this direction you'll have purists claiming it's a dating/princess/whatever sim instead of a visual novel.)
Content-wise, just like other novels they can be about pretty much anything, including scraping the bottom of the
alt.sex.stories
barrel.> Are they just cartoon sex simulators for sad pervs
Lots of them are. Porn gets everyone's attention and sex sells (probably should mark this one NSFW), so they're what everyone hears about.
> or is there more to them
Plenty more. Steam's been collecting a few recently, both translated from Japanese and original titles.
As with anything else, Sturgeon's Law applies.
> I've never seen a game like this in a store
Look a little harder :)
I would love to have a handheld gaming system again, I haven't had one since the original Game Boy. I also have been wanting to play this game since I heard about it. Lawyer video game > actually studying for the bar. :D Thanks for the contest! Radler is rad.
Happy 1 year anniversary!
This technically isn't $10 or less, but I would paypal you $10 to make up the difference. I know that's iffy as far as your rules go, but it doesn't hurt to try, right.
I'm still a kid at heart
I think my favorite moment was playing A Link To The Past for the first time and literally staying up all night with paper around me to figure out puzzles (I was only about 12 at the time, they were still hard!).
This one, because I don't have it yet
If I win, used is fine if you want to save some money or pick another winner :D
FF tactics is a great one, though it's far inferior to the PSX version.
I can also whole-heartedly recommend Golden Sun, though it's not as deep of an RPG, it's extremely fun. Etrian Odyssey is as hardcore as they come, so it may or may not be your cup of tea. You actually explore and draw your own dungeon maps in it, and the class combinations are nuts.
If you aren't a big fan of JRPGs, you probably won't like The World Ends With You but you'd be doing yourself a great disservice if you skipped it.
There's also Chrono Trigger, which, if you never played it, deserves a chance to be seen. It is definitely an old school JRPG though.
FF3 and FF4 are both great if you like that kind of thing, but if you're not into JRPGs, again, you probably won't enjoy them.
I really loved the most recent Dragon Quest, even though it is decidedly old school and very much a JRPG in the traditional format. But it does a lot of things well, and the class system is deep and rewarding.
Bioware made a Sonic RPG, though I haven't played it so I can't recommend it.
The Castlevania games are all awesome, but they're RPGs like Diablo is an RPG.
well this was an easy pick for me, my favorite item from your list is the final fantasy game (my SO and I both play :D --well not me currently I'm taking a break to do other stuff) and this is an item from my wish list I'd love.
I love kevin <3 :D
7 Is my favorite game, ever.
"7 is overrated." :[
http://amzn.com/B000GABOTU
I'll start working on something right away :)
High price aside... do these things still work with the 3DS?
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Wi-Fi-USB-Connector/dp/B000MXMNG4
I remember when I was in college back in 2004 I needed to buy one of these to get my DS connected to WiFi since it was not an authorized device or something like that.
Edit: looks like it does not work with the New 3DS Lineup, but works with the old ones
http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/683/~/how-to-connect-online-with-the-nintendo-wi-fi-usb-connector
Yeah, there are. Although that one is ridiculously expensive, i got mine for $25.00 at toysRus a few years back so i could play animal crossing with my friends (this was before DSi). If you search Ebay im sure you could get one, or even if you go searching around at best buy or walmart you might be able to get one.
Do you happen to have a n,a,or c router because those are not compatible with the 3DS? You should ask your service provider or look your router up online. Worst case you have to buy this http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Wi-Fi-USB-Connector/dp/B000MXMNG4/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1373136176&sr=1-1&keywords=nintendo+wifi+usb+connector
The game adaptation is out now and it's got rave reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Cory-House-Nintendo-DS/dp/B00134YL8E#customerReviews
I would either choose PS3 or 3DS. For the PS3, I'd choose Metal Gear Solid V and for the 3DS, I'd choose The World Ends With You
really? :o Amazon links! But seriously, you can find pretty much fucking anything on Amazon.
TWEWY
Ghost Trick
Came to post this
If you're looking for more western-style games, you might like the Mario and Luigi titles. They're riddled with amusing dialog and highly-interactive combat. (It's turn-based, but you can press buttons to dodge or counter-attack when the enemy is attacking.) A lot of people seemed to like Bowser's Inside Story best, although I liked Partner's in Time better. Partner's in Time forces you to use all four face buttons during combat whereas Bowser's Inside Story only uses two face buttons (plus the touch screen and mic for some battles); I think some people may have preferred Bowser's Inside Story for its simpler controls whereas I preferred Partners in Time for the exact opposite reason. That being said, both games are pretty beginner-friendly.
If you're looking for something "BioWare-esque," Devil Survivor might be the closest to what you're looking for. It has a plot with branching story paths, and the decisions you make can impact the flow of the story in very meaningful ways. (There are certain player characters that can permanently die depending on what actions you take.) It's not nearly as nuanced as something from BioWare, but there are still potential endings, and the decisions you make throughout the entire game have a bearing on which ending you can take. The only character that you can fully spec is the main character, but you have complete control over the skills for all of your human units, and a limited amount of control over the stats/skills for your monster units. n.b.: A remake of Devil Survivor is coming out later this year for 3DS, so if you were planning on buying it, you might want to hold off until this summer when the remake comes out. That being said, if you're not sure you want to pay full price and find the original Devil Survivor on sale for $15 or something, you might want to pick it up.
Several comments regarding The World Ends With You: It looks like the game is $16.50 on Amazon if you can't find it locally. I tried playing TWEWY several times and quit before getting more than an hour in simply because of how much I hated the main character. Neku's unbearable nature is intentional. It's difficult to explain why without giving up too much of the plot, but the game gets a lot better, and once I gave it a chance, it managed to hit its stride much faster than I had expected. The game doesn't really start to get fun until you get a nice selection of pins to choose from and have more freedom to explore different areas, but fortunately this all happens within the first hour of gameplay. Also, be aware that some of the pins are terrible and not fun at all to use. The idea is that out of the hundreds of pins that the game offers you, you find maybe a dozen or so that you actually like and play most of the game with those pins. (There are also several pins that are basically clones/upgraded versions of previous pins, which you'll discover when you try them out.) Try everything once to see if you like it, and if not, just move onto the next thing.
It's $20 on Amazon.
Edit: Sorry, wasn't reading close enough earlier. Didn't realize you were in Australia. :(
Do yourself a favor.
since the 3ds is backwards compatible and you like jrpgs

The World Ends With you
I would love to try out Sakura Samurai.
Good luck to everybody. I made Platinum last year, knew I wouldn't have the money to make it this year (would have LOVED the Majora's Mask Soundtrack), but I'm trying to Platinum again for this upcoming year. Already a good 80 points (2 DS games, definitely more being bought before even Christmas) towards the 600 point goal.
Yours is The World Ends With You because it's awesome.
Mine is Dragon's Dogma because it looks awesome, but I haven't gotten to play it yet.
I love Kevin!
The thing I really need right now is a bed frame thing. I have a mattress on the ground with sheets the wrong size >.> But I honestly just want the bed frame. I can deal with the sheets.
I have this one and this one on my wishful thinking wishlist.
EDIT: FFFF I feel bad because those are expensive. I'd be super happy with some Chrono Trigger mostly because, who doesn't love Chrono Trigger?
If you like RPGs, you should get Chrono Trigger (DS). It is on sale on Amazon right now.
the DS cartridge is actually on sale on Amazon right now for $20
Sorry, technically its a DS port. But yeah. amazon
This probably has something to do with it.
Best I can do is just tell you that it's $15 at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001E27DLM
Chrono Trigger DS isn't too expensive on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.es/Chrono-Trigger-Juego-Ingles-Franc%C3%A8s/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505772710&sr=8-1&keywords=chrono+trigger
Only 23€, cheaper than the US (38$)
Amazon link
Personally, I'm waiting for the price to go down a bit before I buy it, but I wouldn't mind checking it out when it comes down to a more reasonable price. Almost 40$ is just a bit too high in my opinion.
Heyyo!
I'd love the DS because mine broke a long time ago! The charging-area broke, so no chargers could charge it :( I would love to be able to continue all of my DS games that I had to quit :)
This game looks super fun!!!
Radler is rad ! Very rad! Thanks for the contest!
2)Chrono Trigger
The DS version is the best one to get. Everything from the PS1 version with all the advantages of the SNES version in addition moving all of the menus to the second screen, a fresh translation, an automap, and run enabled by default. It's fucking excellent.
It's also extremely affordable.
Theres two things you can do. Download the ROM data or use Amazon.
Here is the Amazon listing for CT on the DS. I'm not giving a link for the ROM data, because CT is a game you should buy. But, you could theoretically use a R4 cartridge with the ROM data and a micro SD. Emulating the game works too.
But seriously: just buy the game.
There are ROMs of it everywhere, but it never made its way to the Nintendo e-Shop. There is a DS version readily available, and there's also an Android version available.

If you have a DS or 3DS, this is a great version of Chrono Trigger
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001E27DLM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480240340&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=crono+trigger+ds&dpPl=1&dpID=51iThGjmvKL&ref=plSrch
Cool!
I would like it for my brother (in his teens) who broke his when he was 10 or so. He's wanted one for a very long time but my family haven't had the money to spare.
Here is the game.
Radler is rad
You could probably use Amazon UK. A friend of mine in Finland always orders from there due to the lack of a .fi site, so I imagine you could do the same from Sweden. Apparently some things don't ship, but the majority do.
Yes
when i was much younger my best friend and i would work odd jobs all summer long and combine our cash at the end to buy some sort of video game or video game gear. then wed spend the next few months playing just that and then start working again. it was a ton of fun and actually taught us some good lessons haha
I'm still a kid at heart!
Dragon Quest IX - $18.49
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - $11.38
Total just under $30.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for ~ $10!
I already own it but that's a badass price!
Event Pokémon are limited time Pokémon and back on the DS I had a gameshark to hack in any event Pokémon that I didn’t have. Some of these event Pokémon caused special things to happen in the games like unlocking the ability to catch the Regi trio in HGSS or Spikey Eared Pichu.
This is more about experiencing something again and realizing that in order to do so with what I have I’d have to literally erase the old saves, not about getting a living dex.
Also in terms of “buy a new copy of old games”, digital ones from Nintendo are one thing, but this is just ridiculous
This should help.
Heart gold or soul silver for the DS. It's close to $60 on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-SoulSilver-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MTE7C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368371549&sr=8-1&keywords=pok%C3%A9mon+soulsilver
Several hundred was exaggerating a bit, but they're definitely not cheap .
Gen I though...
I got a leather one for 12 bucks off amazon a couple months ago. It looks great and is holding up wonderfully. http://www.amazon.com/3DS-Leather-holds-Cartridge-Nintendo-DS/dp/B003QWYX8E/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1396207513&sr=1-1&keywords=3ds+leather
http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B003QWYX8E
There's 1 available from Amazon's Canada website, but it looks to be a little pricier.
Try this
Its leather, can fit 3 additional games and looks quite professional in a way.
I bought a Monster Hunter 4 case way back when in anticipation. The prices have sky rocketed a bit, but it is still a solid case. this case worked fairly well for me as well and it is fairly cheap. I am a really into leather.
this one:
amazon link
it's a perfect fit, but doesn't have any extra space for cables or chargers if that's something you need.
I got this black leather one. It seals with magnets and holds three cartridges, which, if you're doing it right, you won't ever need more than that. ;)
OH GAMES! I can't decide just one so these two are pretty grool:
My favorite game is Touch Detective. I love all of them. I cant wait for the next one! Whenever it actually gets released here that is :( New or used is fine with me! Thanks so much for this contest :) It's an awesome idea!
My favourite game is... Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite, both for xBox, and Pokemon SoulSilver for DS
Thanks for the contest!

It looks like it.

Hah, I just made a post that was vaguely similar... I'd actually say check it out and see if there are any you haven't played but that sound interesting to you. I'd be really happy to elaborate on the appeal of any of the games on that list that I enjoyed.
The first one I'd say you should give a try is Bow Street Runner, though, which is a surprisingly good flash detective game with a nice historical element to it. The puzzles aren't that difficult but are enjoyable enough, the acting is actually reasonably good, you get to be a detective in Georgian England, and it's just fun.
I'd also say Ghost Trick should be something that you would definitely enjoy. It's basically your brief - a high focus on story and character development, solving puzzles & intrigue, and a bit of a pressure element (difficulty). You can't go wrong here. I loved the shit out of it, and I think you will too. Since you mentioned having a DS, try this!
Also, if you have an Android phone, Layton Brothers: Mystery Room is definitely a must try. It's a series of Locked Room Murders that you have to solve, and it resembles the AA games much more than it does the Layton games in terms of how it goes. The characters are all pretty fun as well, and I really enjoyed this and would strongly recommend it as well.
Edit: I also totally forgot to mention - 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. It's a puzzle/visual novel kind of thing, and I found it very engaging. The plot is definitely sort of a brain twister kind of thing in the 'what even is going on' sense, but everything is explained in a pretty satisfactory way at the end. Definitely consider this one. It's basically Room Escape: The Game, but it does that very well.
It takes two seconds to search for something on Amazon.
Or eBay.
Start with this
Then get this
And never save during an "escape" sequence, only during "story" sequences. There's a bug and it might corrupt your save data.
I would love to get the DS for my mom. When I was a little kid, she would play Pokemon with me all the time and I'd love to play the games with her again. I'd give her my old DS, but sadly mine broke and I had to replace it with a 3DS. I bought a copy of each Pokemon game when I had a job so I don't need any of those. Admittedly selfish of me, I'd like this game for myself.
Edit: I somehow managed to forget that Radler is rad

Here is an original ds for $80; http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Titanium/dp/B00078ZGTA/ref=sr_1_39?ie=UTF8&qid=1323410518&sr=8-39

Edit (for the lazy):
Almost anything on the DS is a decent start if you have one. Professor Layton is an amazing series with some great puzzles to keep her thinking. There's no combat and no hard new control schemes to learn. Phoenix Wright is another fantastic series but there is some violence in the sense of "murder-mystery/crime" stuff to set up the cases you take and the puzzles you solve. Again, no combat here, it's exclusively puzzle solving.
As old as it is, Myst is another great game to show her (I think anyway) that encourages puzzle solving and reading. You can also get it for pretty cheap. Personally, I prefer realMyst because you get to roam freely but the Masterpiece Edition is truer to the original and doesn't force you to use first-person controls.
If you have a game that uses the Source engine you might want to get Dear Esther for her to look at. It's not so much a game as it is an interactive story told using a first person perspective. There's no combat or anything you simply walk around and explore an island. There's a bit of a ghost story aspect to it but it's not scary at all. It's closer to mysterious. Since TF2 is free you should be able to get Dear Esther to work without buying HL2 or anything like that.
While I really enjoy Portal and love Portal 2 I don't think they're necessarily good games for people new to gaming. The first-person perspective can be a HUGE barrier to entry especially for people that think of things like Mario when they think of games. Plus, if you're looking for a 'wonderful story' Portal's story doesn't really fit the bill (IMO). It's wonderful in the sense that it has wit and charm and some depth if you want to really over-interpret it but in the end it's a short game about escaping from a test facility.
Holy crap, there's a lot more of them then I had previously thought. I take it this is the first one? I have never really played these types of games before, but always up for something fresh and new!
Amazon has the first one starting at $13.70.
I'm interested in your Zelda Collector's Edition as long is it plays fine. I can offer Lunar: Dragon Song CIB for DS, Shin Migami Tensei IV (Game & Box only) for 3DS, and Final Fantasy III CIB for DS if you're interested in any of those.
HIIII! You told me to enter so here I am!!!!!!
Part 1: I would either choose to play A Final Fantasy Game or a Pokemon game first!
Part 2: Ok I cheated little on this, I have zero(and I mean zero) artistic ability so I asked my wonderful sister(more artistic than me) /u/lee4nn to help me out a bit on this one and I will share if I am to win. Here is her rendition of your request. Here is another picture of it. My camera didn't do it much justice though :(
7 is overrated
1:Game I would play I played this game on the SNES.. it was the first FF game I EVER player.. I remember how much I loved it... I played i 20 - 30 times... Stands as one of my Fav FF ever. Ummm behind FF7....
7 is overrated

North American release. (Sure the SNES version was FFIII but it has been rereleased as FFVI already on 2 systems since the SNES.)
You could pick up the Nintendo 3DS Wifi Adapter if you have a connected PC nearby:
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Wi-Fi-USB-Connector/dp/B000MXMNG4
One of these?:
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Wi-Fi-USB-Connector/dp/B000MXMNG4
Gamestop (yeah, yeah, I know, I know) has them used sometimes.
Ask the kid at the counter. Usually they can check inventory at surrounding stores too. They are getting hard to find though.
nintendo products do not play nice with the RPI wireless. I believe the only work around is a USB wifi adapter-ish thing ($99 from nintendo, not sure if there is a cheaper option http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-Wi-Fi-USB-Connector/dp/B000MXMNG4).
Not sure if its really allowed because it acts like a mini wireless router... I think it should be ok because the signal strength is so weak
Nintendo DS systems are fishy about wireless networks. I'd suggest going over to /r/techsupport or a related subreddit, considering this is more about networking than pokemon. I don't know if they still exist, but there's a device called a Wireless USB adapter or something. You plug it into a USB port and it connects to the internet through your computer.
Well, I heard that you can also use Nintendo's USB Wifi connector thingy™ to connect, but you may also consider a cheaper alternative.
For the people who missed out in this opportunity of a life time; amazon has it on sale now Corey in the House
diablo 3 doesn't sound like the game for you, OP. maybe this is a better fit for you: http://www.amazon.com/Cory-House-Nintendo-DS/dp/B00134YL8E
Well I do know that they review-bombed user scores of the games everywhere they could.
The game has a 5 star rating on amazon as well as a 9.4 user rating on metacritic.
You can find it on Amazon, eBay, or most websites. http://www.amazon.com/The-World-Ends-With-Nintendo-DS/dp/B00136MBHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407856105&sr=8-1&keywords=the+world+ends+with+you

If you have a DS and haven't played this game, pick it up!
This raving lunatic was dying in my arms. Wait, why is he putting his glasses on my fa....
Where once nothing stood, a blond teenager manifested, his left hand spread over his sick, smiling face, and in his right hand gripped a still smoking gun.
I stammered, "Who the hell ar--"
"You weren't supposed to put the glasses on", the boy sighed, cutting me off, sounding as if I'm nothing more than an inconvenience as his left hand drooped from his face, revealing a bored expression. The gun shifted away from the homeless man to me as I took off.
Boom
Ripping through the newly formed crowd I heard that gunshot tear through the air and burrow itself into my back. damn, I thought to myself as warmth overtook my body, and as my vision faded a hand gripped my hair and jerked my face towards theirs.
The boy was kneeling in front of me, the sick smile back on his face. "Well, I'm sorry you died, but you get to play the reapers' game, lucky you", the words tauntingly dripped from his mouth, my senses finally fading away.
------------
For anyone who doesn't know, the reapers' game is a reference to The World Ends With You, a fantastic little known gem from the DS. It's highly recommended.
I tried so hard to ignore Diablo III, but when I saw a playthrough of the monk in the open beta, I blacked out a few minutes into it. When I came to, I found myself on this page. Unfortunately I don't have enough money at the moment to buy it when it comes out, but I'll definitely be looking forward to playing it when I do.
I understand what you mean about Skyrim though, I've sunk about 30 hours into the game and can't bring myself to play the damn thing anymore (though admittedly, that's probably more gameplay than I could get out of a lot of games these days). There's just too much content and not enough substance in some of these open world games, and for some reason all the decent linear RPGs have been floating over to the mobile market like you said. Just look at some of the JRPGs the DS has to offer, like The World Ends With You (more commonly known as: "The Best Thing Square Enix Has Done In Years") and Radiant Historia (both of which could probably be emulated if you so desired). So yeah, buying a PSP or DS might not be a bad deal.
On an unrelated note, can I ask you a quick question? I haven't played any Zelda games since ALTTP and have been looking to get back into the series for a while now, but can't really decide which one I should jump into. So, between Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Wind Waker, which would you recommend the most?
Available and cheap. My apologies if you're not in the US.
This is definitely an underutilized mechanic, which is a shame. There are only two other games that spring to mind that use drawing as a means of combat and/or world interaction. In case you're interested, these are:
The Void: An extremely abstract game, but strangely alluring (both in gameplay and world design) to me.
The World Ends With You: You may have already heard about this one. It's way more approachable than The Void, and if you like eclectic J-Pop/Pop music, it's super fun to fight to the music.
Amazon?
For those wondering, the actual DS game goes for the same price — new. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00136MBHA/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Also, FYI you can get TWEWY on Amazon new for $20. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00136MBHA/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

This!
Part 1: I'll probably play Chrono Trigger first since I've heard so many great things about this game and I've just been dying to play it.
Part 2: Since my major interactions with Final Fantasy have been through the Kingdom Hearts series, I'm not familiar with Chocobo's. I am, however, familiar with Moogles (but can't draw) so here's a wonderfully terrible drawing of a moogle!
7 is overrated? I haven't played it so I can't judge.
I guess it's not as cheap as a VC game, but I point you towards Chrono Trigger for DS my friend. Pretty much the definitive version of the game too. I bought it way back when, no regrets.
https://www.amazon.com/Chrono-Trigger-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001E27DLM
Nintendo DS edition is probably the best version. Quick cartridge loading and also contains the anime fmv's from the Playstation 1 version. Best English translation in this version as well. Here's an amazon link. It's $45 there but it's one of the best games of all time.
If that's not obtainable it's on Steam right now. Other versions include SNES (expensive cartridge, like Earthbound), Playstation 1 (paired with a Final Fantasy game). I don't wanna break rule 5 so I'll just say SNES classic edition as well.
Normal. It came out years ago.
Square still produces new copies of Chrono Trigger and it's available new in box for about $20. It's not rare or particularly valuableAmazon has it right now for example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E27DLM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_VXWLzbX6V0XF9
Amazing game. Every DS fan should have it.
You're... Not helping your case any.

https://www.gamestop.com/ds/games/chrono-trigger/72012
Way too great of a game to miss. If you don't mind playing games with Super Nintendo graphics (I sure as hell don't) Chrono Trigger will hold up today without any problems, though this is also probably due to the stagnant JPRG archetype. But Chrono Trigger is sooo great. Just pick it up for the DS for like $15 on Amazon.
Yes it originally released on snes. Then re-released on ps1, then Nintendo ds. You can still pick up a copy for a reasonable price here on amazon.
Nintendo ID: 1stinline (Shitty Name I know)
If there was one game I would want (That is Still Avaliable to buy) it would be Chrono Trigger for the DS I never really got a chance to play it when it came out due to being more intrested in things my peers liked such as Mario or Pokemon, now I have to save my money for the next year or so, so I can't just drop $25 until after the holidays when I get some spending money (Hopefully) but I already have some other games on top of my Priority when they come out. anyways Thank hyou OP for doing this and Have yourself a Very, Merry, Fucking Christmas and Thanksgiving as well.

I already have Lord Of the Rings but they aren't the extended edition. Chrono Trigger is fantasy right? Imladris
Amazon has them new for like $26 ish I believe.
Here you go
Edit: added link
By the way, if you want a portable version with faster load speed and a few extras, and don't mind paying a bit more, you could try the DS version for about $30 with shipping.

As an older gamer, I thought about this thread last night after commenting. I was thinking about all the great RPGs available on the DS. Nothing wastes time away like a good story RPG. I thought about price and gameplay value. Golden Sun : Dark Dawn is a solid game in the lower price range. More puzzles than the average RPG and the learning curve is not as steep as many other RPGs. Graphics are great for a DS game, and I highly recommend it.
Rockstar!
I've been wanting to play this forever!
The most recent thing that made me happy is under NDA,so...lol. How about...I'm going to see my gf this weekend! :D
This would make me happy,as well :]
Where are you going with 150 to 200?
SoulSilver is on Amazon for like 50 to 80 dollars used. Don't bother trying to buy it new, you can erase the saved data of someone's previous playthrough by UP+SELECT+B at the start screen.

There are no Gen 1 remakes for the 3DS.
Pick up X or Y, and OmegaRuby or AlphaSapphire. They should satisfy you until Sun/Moon comes out.
You know, that's for the "new in box price"

I should have been looking at the used ones for closer to 100.

http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-SoulSilver-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MTE7C
Is the one example I can think of that makes me foam at the mouth
OP, I do have to mention that usually Nintendo games in general don't lose value, when they become out of print. In fact sometimes they go up, like with the Pokemon games (Heart Gold is 294.99!!! on Amazon right now, https://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-HeartGold-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MVFYC)
There's no issues you have to deal with a used Wii U, since if you can just erase the system data once you get it and make your own nintendo ID account. If you get it refurbished from Nintendo's website, then it's probably already done for you, and from what I've heard it runs well since when they're refurbishing they replace most of the components with new replacements anyway.
Sadly titles on the Wii U, don't go for sale frequently at least not first party. Usually Capcom, and others are good for digital sales, I think they had Monster Hunter 3U for the Wii U on sale recently for 13.59. You usually have to look to retail for better prices on older games, such as Super Mario World 3D(which imo is the best 3D mario game as of now) is selling for $20 through the Nintendo selects program. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AC3ZD06/ref=crt_ewc_title_huc_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
Wind Waker HD is also cheaper than it was when it was first released, because it's now part of the Nintendo Selects program, so it goes for $20. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NJ0HTH0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
Heart Gold for sale on Amazon $134.99!!!
Used Pre-owned copies are $45 (That's more than X/Y Cost new, or OR/AS new)
Well amazon seems to have them for over 200 flipping dollars
I love RAOA because all of the people on here are genuine and nice. It's such an amazing thing to see such awesome people online!
I think this Pokemon Heart Gold is a perfect example of something gold!
Can I Haz Gold? :D
Just checked.
Current prices from Amazon US and ebay US in USD. Summer 2016.
[Y Version](https://amzn.com/B00KI2OZ9M) and Omega Ruby are roughly the same price as when they launched at $39.99. If anything they're a few dollars cheaper due to slight age and price fluctuation.
But a game like Black Version 2 is about $60 new and $45 used. It is a last gen game and no longer in production.
And finally the worst example, and the game that many people want to play, is the English version of HeartGold and SoulSilver. Price fluctuates around $100 for new and used English games.
Amazon /// ebay
Japanese imported versions are much cheaper, $30 on Amazon. Sadly, only the current gen of Pokemon Games has language options. For the other 5 generations you need to buy the game in your language; or learn Japanese.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-45496740641-Pokemon-HeartGold-DS/dp/B0038MVFYC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335113824&sr=8-1
though looks like the price went up to £40 since i bought it, some of the 2nd hand ones are cheap though
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-HeartGold-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MVFYC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345749776&sr=8-1&keywords=heartgold
Seriously? I guess they want people to buy the newer versions of the game. I mean, it is two years old, and they release them every year right? I think.
Well they tested the product to see if it had scratches so technically it was "carefully tested". Their definition is different then some of the consumers defintion.
It obviously sucks for OP but the policy does allow him to get his money back or the right version of the game he wanted.
You know I was going to also bring up that maybe OP's parents should have just bought new, but one quick google search and this the first result I could buy a copy on I see why they bought used.
Just buy a new one for 135 FREAKING DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-HeartGold-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MVFYC
Thanks. I guess I'll just have to buckle down, save up, and find one somewhere used.
Also, yep, some sellers on Amazon are selling it for $290 to $380
Ok so, I wasn't familiar with the price so I decided to do a little research.
The lowest price on Amazon (for used) is $67, but that's with the Pokewalker and I feel it's overpriced.
So, can you do $35 + shipping?
Here's a similar case I have that fits my N3DS XL perfectly with 3 game slots on it. Seems very well made for only 12$
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003QWYX8E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_4Yg2wbGBRW4KW
I have a Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds 3DS XL with a bunch of games. Pokemon X, The legend of zelda game it came with and the Monster Hunter game, along with a bunch of DSI-ware games and I'm sure I have some more 3DS games, but I can't remember which ones to be honest, I'm not home right now.
The 3DS XL it's self is BRAND new. As in I've never played a game on it. I broke my first 3DS XL because I was trying to swap the shell and I'm dumb. I bought the LOZ one and just never touched it. Have original box, and this case. I'm selling it for $325, but I'm willing to negotiate.
Ooooooh that one! I got it on Amazon also. It's actually a Dsi XL case but it fits the 3DS XL perfectly. Even with the clear Hori duraflex protector. Here you go.
Personally, I use this case. It looks sophisticated and more for an adult gamer, without adding to the bullets that have been aiming right at my wallet lately. Fits into my purse and just looks like a planner/contact book that used to be popular back before everything went in phones. However, it has a magnetic closure and my old XL has a dead pixel. I doubt the magnets were strong enough to cause it, but just in case, I snagged this Pull&Go Folio on eBay. It's a case I've wanted for a long while, but they stopped making them by the time I bought my XL. (And yes, it's supposed to fit the XL just fine -- so it should hopefully fit the nXL just fine as well.)
Like this
Or there's this one
I've got this one
That case definitely seems rugged but a bit too bulky for the bags I use to travel when I'm out, but definitely looks like a good choice for a carrying case.
I used to use this DSi XL Leather Case and it worked really well and was compact, I only stopped using it because I just made backups of my games onto my 3DS so I didn't have a need to have a carrying case.
Pretty much any starter kit is just cheap crap. I'd advise you to just spend a little extra and buy quality.
Styli. Basically the only spare bulk pack available at the moment, hence the long shipping wait.
Car charger I would instead buy either a portable power bank and 3DS USB cable or a USB car charger like this and a 3DS USB cable. A power bank would be a good bit more expensive but is really nice to have if you have a lot of electronics you bring with you. Here's a pretty good one.
Great card case holder.
Budget but good carrying cases: 1, 2, 3, 4.
Yes, its more expensive to go this route. But I promise you that you will be happy you did. I bought those crappy starter kits for my GBC, GBA, and DS. The stuff was low quality and generally just doesn't last. I bought stuff for my 3DS similar to what I've linked here and have been much happier with the quality and make
I too use a combo of a wallet and game case.
Wallet - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003QWYX8E/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Case - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BLGWIRK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I went with a smaller 6 game case so that it would not be bulky in my pocket :D
I'll keep that in mind!
This is actually the case I was looking at getting:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003QWYX8E/ref=s9_simh_gw_p63_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1AQ55KGQMAZA0DCV8TC4&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1970559082&pf_rd_i=desktop
I have one already for my current 3DS XL and I love the look of it and it has a little bit of extra space on the sides so I think it might actually end up working!
I have this case and I really like it. It does the job well, and it's REALLY cheap.
This is currently my top choice, so if anyone has it and would like to weight in, I would really appreciate it.
The reprinted one with the new cover is on Amazon for only $20. This one says it's Volume 1 of the Zero Escape series, and imo, looks better. The other one has a cover of the group, but the games are exactly the same. No new/removed content on the newest printing.
I REALLY WANT TO SEE Super Smash Bros 3ds and try it at bestbuy
I WANT TO PLAY 999 19.98
But I really want to see more on ps4 and xbox 1,I own a pc but I want to see what The next gen games will bring, also want to hear more about the drm on xbox 1 That seems really lame .That u have to have a pal on ur FL to lend a game out
http://www.amazon.com/9-Hours-Persons-Doors-Nintendo-DS/dp/B003VR5PPY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462732269&sr=8-1&keywords=999
You can play a US copy on a EU 3DS, so there you go. It's only about £15
999: 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors
Love this game to bits but you have to like mystery/visual novel type games. There is a LOT of reading, it's literally dispersed into puzzle and novel portions, but if you want to experience a story that'll blow your goddamn mind I totally recommend it.
More games like this that are heavily story/puzzle based:
Ace Attorney series
Hotel Dusk
Ghost Trick
These are all pretty hard to find in stores but most of them are pretty cheap on amazon right now. ghost trick ,999, hotel dusk
The first one is a DS game, so yes you can buy the DS cart and play it just fine on a 3DS.
It's currently $21.90 on Amazon new
It is, It's an DS game
Dude, it's less than 20 on Amazon
> Most of the VN's aren't available there. Availability is a little fuzzy when it comes to these things. I don't know where else they're even distributed.
He did mention Amazon. You'd have to buy the Japanese version and then apply a translation patch afterwards. A bit of Googling turns up a few other shopping sites as well.
For games that have not been officially released in the west:
Games with official western releases (or OELVNs):

Cool contest :)
Here is the mobile version of your link
Dude, you can get Radiant Historia right now.
Not sure what style of games you like, but if you're into Pokemon, you may like RPG-style games as well. I suggest you check out:
Anyhow, those are my faves. There are so many others to list, but those four alone would keep you busy for years
Amazon.
I ordered this earlier in the month, and just got notification that it shipped.
I think you would enjoy this DS game. I've heard it's a good RPG.
Also, you can use them by making a US iTunes account. That's how I get English language applications. It can be hard to get iTunes codes though and they don't accept non-US cards.

Hopefully this can help you.

For me, I like having both, digital for games I know I'm going to play for a long time, want to come back to later, or generally just expect to always want to be available (monster hunter, pokemon, probably disgaea) but then carts for everything else. I also never plan on carrying around my switch without a carrying case, and it looks like every case so far has room for several carts, or even a card case. With my 3ds, I have a case that holds 12 game carts and is pretty small, it fits right in the carrying case with my 3ds, so I don't ever have to worry about it. I expect cases like that to come around for the switch as well (the one I use is basically https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS except just 1 row, not 2 but I can't find it anymore) and those fit inside system carrying cases pretty easily
That is interesting. Since it fits 2 3DSXL, do you think it'll fit a normal 3DS + something like this? That would be very convenient for me.
I use a 24 game Hori case for mine. I haven't had any issues with it after about nine months.
Looks like I miscounted, I actually have 22.
Unfortuantely, the ones on Club Nintendo are out of stock.
I came across this one on amazon. Its seems like a solid case.
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405747577&sr=8-1&keywords=3ds+game+case
It's literally called a 3DS Game Case.
Nintendo 3DS Game Card Case 24 - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3xtYAbVQ3E35B
I don't have a better recommendation than the other link for a collection that large. But I can say, don't buy those 8 or 16 game cases that are available at Best Buy or Target. They're a huge pain in the ass to get the cartridges in and out of. The elastic band type that you slide the cartridge into are much easier to manage. The only snap in type that seems to work well is the official HORI 24 game case. I have a couple of those for storing stuff long term. Games I actively play are in the elastic style holders.
Another advantage of the elastics- they also hold DS and Switch and Vita too.
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS
I feel like it would be best to get things like this for Switch and this for 3ds and just put it in a generic backpack/messenger bag/purse/whatever.
I keep all my DS games in a couple cases like these. I have all the original cases/artwork/manuals/inserts just stored in totes in the basement, but still want easy access to the games.
You can get a cartridge case on Amazon for like $10
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416988554&sr=8-1&keywords=3ds+cartridge+case
And a carrying case to put your console in for like $8
http://www.amazon.com/Carrying-Nintendo-DSi-DS-Lite-3DS/dp/B0024X0IHG/ref=sr_1_sc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416988655&sr=8-3-spell&keywords=3ds+carryingcase
This is what I use. It fits a 3ds xl, game case and a charger in the main compartment. It also has a few zipper pockets that can fit smaller objects like a screen wipe or a few extra stylus.
> You could also try just taking one game in the system around rather then all the cartridges.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing now, but it sucks when I whip it out and find I had the wrong game in there. I was thinking maybe a separate case that is also pocketable... or I usually have my messenger bag with me, as well, so it could be put in there with ease as well. Just shoving 4 or 5 different 3DS cases in there is not really an option.
I was thinking of getting this: https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/44002.do This way it'll take the place of 1 case, rather than 1 per game, and still be fairly portable.
edit: 10 coins short of the case. :\
double edit: woo, found a game I hadn't registered yet. I think this is definitely a good way to go, considering it's basically free.
triple edit: Orrrr, spend only $10 to get a bigger case and use the coins to buy games and whatnot.... ugh, this is why I posted here in the first place. I just don't know what's good.
I use the Hori case, which holds 24. Fits DS and 3DS and comes with one little piece of plastic that holds an SD card. That's removable though. They have a couple of colors and also make them for Switch games. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K6LQAS/
No, only game carts. Here's the exact item that I was talking about.
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Game-Card-Case-24/dp/B004K6LQAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427609283&sr=8-1&keywords=Nintendo+3DS+Game+Card+Case+24+-+Black
I believe it's this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004K6LQAS?cache=198dcc535e585ce1babde1094dc2bf91&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1406081290&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1
It's a great case and it does the job. Holds 3DS and DS games securely and they're not difficult to remove. But after seeing those cool club nintendo cases I want one.
And if you're asking about the console case, it's this one - http://mobile.walmart.com/ip/Mario-Universal-Travel-Case-Nintendo-DS-DSi-3DS-3DS-XL-Nintendo-3DS/30914324?type=search
My XL fits pretty snug in it and it holds up to 8 games. I like it, but I'll probably purchase a case that's more plain and less bulky down the road.
I have that exact same style for my old NDS (before the 3DS) games. Oh the amount of times I've nearly cut myself on it since none of the sides give much... The old NDS style cases of the same design that I have have the opposite issue where it's hard as balls to get them in, and difficult to get them out without being afraid you're going to snap the gamecard!
If you can't afford to get a different case atm, the only tip I can give is to first slide in the side of the card to the outer side wall under the hook and then try to lever the middle side into the other clip. Hopefully the outer wall of plastic will give just enough to allow you to get the game card in. Just... Don't be a total dingus like me and draw blood on the hook when the card finally snaps in hard...
If you can afford to get a different game case, I heartily recommend the case that u/trippybrii linked: the HORI 24 game card case. That one has MUCH more flexible tabs in the middle so the best way to get the games in and out is to instead angle the game card into the MIDDLE of the page under the hook, then press sideways against the middle of the page into the hook and lever the game in under the outer hook and release. It's much easier to access the games!
If you're planning on getting more games, [this] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K6LQAS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00) is my favorite way to store them! :) I've tried several, and this one doesn't seem to hold my cartridges tightly enough to damage them.
My favorite game is Uncharted 2:Among Theives
Mario because this game looks awesome
Or
Pokemon
You can get the most recent Pokemon black 2 for $27.

So 30 bucks?
Get a real life, Nerd! I know I should but its just to much fun being one.
Having not played a Pokemon game since Leaf Green (jeez that makes me feel old) I would love Pokemon black version 2. You also mentioned tabletop games This one I wanted for my birthday last month but was out of stock so I wasn't able to get it.
This thing can do it, so it might actually be possible.

HORI Retro Mario Hard Pouch for NEW 3DS XL and Nintendo 3DS XL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DWXUYN0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YzPAzb7JDZGHP
$40 is a bit steep, but the Mario one is $12: http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Mario-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo/dp/B00DWXUYN0/ref=pd_sim_vg_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0HN4Z9R4KR2WR0ESMHF1
I usually have my N3DS XL inside a Hori Retro Mario Hard Pouch. I can't complain at all about it.
I have a N3DSXL and use This Case... understandably you probably wont want link but my SO has the pikachu version... anyways I can fit my N3DSXL, 6 carts, and my USB wire in the case nicely... though I have a travel Port in my backpack at all time for charging cell phones, ipads, and my 3ds when needed
Edit: oops... didnt mean for the bot to show up
I didnt care for that one to be honest. I went with this one.
Or you can get one of these and protect the 3DS along with pockets for 6 carts.

Luigi 3ds xl Hori case
Holds 6 games, has a strap to hold the 3ds in place, and will fit a 3ds with a clear shell. There are other styles, too, such as zelda.
Original LoZ Hori case
This one does if that's what you were looking for.
To be honest, I like this one better (though it's not MM specific)
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Retro-Zelda-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo/dp/B00ND0EBP4
I'm surprised either can still be found after the MMN3DSXL situation...
Are you referring to this? I was looking at that case, I think its minimal but still nicely styled. Does it work well for you? No issues?
I use a Hori clear duraflexi NN3DS case with my Majora's Mask 3DS, and I keep it in Hori's retro Zelda zipper case. The duraflexi slips on and off real easy and cleans really easy, and it shows off the MM paint job really well. I also got a Hori screen protector, and if it gets scratched too much I just replace it; doesn't leave any residue. Hori makes good shit.

They are $17 at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00ND0EBP4/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1425343859&sr=8-1-spell
It is OOS right now, but I ordered mine when it was OOS and got it within two weeks. They are really nice.
I got this one recently and it's great - holds 8 games and 2 styli http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo-NEW-3DS/dp/B00RZ7TC82/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1463668041&sr=8-2&keywords=3ds+case+hori
I got my NN3DS XL at the end of March for my 23rd birthday, and it still looks as good as new. Absolutely no marks or scratches, etc. It's had screen protectors since pretty much day 1, and this case protects the shell. I also keep it in this case when not in use. I use a microfiber cloth to clean the screens when I change the screen protectors (only done that once so far).
Hori also make https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo-NEW-3DS/dp/B00RZ7TC82/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1457322120&sr=8-4&keywords=HORI+new+3ds+xl
It doesn't look like my exact case is available anymore but it's very similar to this. The case is made for the XL but just slip the smaller N3DS under the elastic strap and it doesn't move around at all.
That sounds like the one that looked just like the one I got from best buy:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-go-case-for-nintendo-3ds-3ds-xl-black/3623019.p?id=1219092579144&skuId=3623019
this one:
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Hard-Pouch-Nintendo-NEW-3DS/dp/B00RZ7TC82/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1425443898&sr=1-3&keywords=new+3ds+xl+hori
but it looks like there are a few differences - 3 more games, one strap vs 2. Does it feel kind of hard to get it out and is it a little difficult to zip up with it in? maybe that 10 dollars difference is worth it.
How hard of a hardshell are you looking for? I bought Hori Hard Pouch case for my New 3DS XL off Amazon and I've been quite impressed by it.
UK: Pre-order Black 2/White 2

You're right in the initial period when Nintendo is still making the game. But what happens when the game goes out of print and the game becomes rarer as people buy up the remaining copies?
Pokemon Platinum, being sold by a seller that's not Nintendo.
Because of it rarity, the game is worth a lot more new than it did when it launched. Supply and demand.
Additionally, look at the used game prices for games at Gamestop. Nintendo doesn't set those prices but Gamestop does because they know how valuable Nintendo games are. They know they can sell you a copy of Pokemon Pearl for $30 or Xenoblade for $80. Sure, it might be unreasonable, but prices are set that way because people buy them for that price.
Thanks, I love a good JRPG, I may have to track down a copy!
Edit: I notice there's a DS sequel - any opinion there? Start with the original or is the current gen on par?
Works every time
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-45496740634-Pokemon-SoulSilver-DS/dp/B0038MTE7C
And Pokemon has almost doubled in price. Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold are now $80.
I got mine for $35 with the pokewalker and everything. now the pokewalker alone is $35.
Edit: Oh, and someone is trying to sell a pokemon GC game for $10,000. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0007KHLNC/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1376880037&sr=8-14
Double edit: Really people? Two downvotes simply for stating the facts <.<
Unfortunately a new copy of Pokemon HeartGold will run you over three times as much these days :(
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-HeartGold-Version-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0038MVFYC
Hope this helps dude: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0038MVFYC/sr=1-1/qid=1406403111/ref=olp_tab_all?ie=UTF8&qid=1406403111&sr=1-1
It sells for 19.99 normally that's not a good deal at all. It's currently under $19 on Amazon.
Edit for the idiots down voting me. $19.99 is the msrp of the game. Anything over that is not a good deal.

This is a fantastic title
