In that case get a Stryfe, prefferably one without a dart checker in, then buy a set of consumer lithium batteries and get a small performance advantage then the same rules apply. Get pouches for your team mags so you can still scoot, shoot and easily supply more ammo.

I am not a fan of restrictive gameplay or classes but if that's your game, that's your game!

I ended up using a rig like this for a year when I mained my Zeus.
Condor M4 Mag Pouch - MOLLE

If you don't use Molle, I used the same rig with this belt:
JT Paintball Pod Holder

I did add some tubing to make them friction fit and they never fell out while running.

I was able to hold 4 12-round sticks easily with this setup and used it for a long time.

You can see how it holds up here in one of our videos (I'm the guy w/ the green bandanna).

Hey man, I while back I was in the same boat as you. I had gone renting a few times and I was really digging it. I got obsessed with how cool stuff like the Project Salvo looked and so I bought one. Within the next couple times going I had buyers regret, I had this big heavy marker that couldn't keep up with these tiny small ones.

So while I know that some people like mil-sim and I respect that, just realize what it'g going to feel like carrying that around. For the price of all that you could get a used axe and a 68/4500. Also big thing also, make sure you have an anti-fog mask, I recommend vforce profilers if you have a big head and wear glasses like I do. Also I don't see pods and stuff on your list of items so be sure to get a pod pack, personally like and really love this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003Z609M0/ref=twister_dp_update?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

>please let me know if you know what the game is going to be like.

You will be starting on hard mode coming there, count on it. It's gonna be all the hvz vets from around the country showing up.

>Stryfe and reliability comments

First of all, get that thing squared away. NO stock wiring, NO stock motors, NO stock switches and NO 14500 cells allowed and don't even think about it being still stock in toy form. You will be playing a high stakes game and you will also have a lot of high end guns on the field as the status quo.

Motors- You can get Rhinos from Duke_Wintermaul and Containment Crew in the US or you can use Banshee 130 (check /u/foam_data post history, he links a fleabay listing recently).

Batteries, wire, connectors, chargers- Hobbyking

Switch- Omron V-214-1C6, buy from digikey.com

If you need tech help, feel free to bug me about it as much as you want, I have infinite patience for those who want to do stuff properly.

>can you plz link me tac gear you like and use(also affordable) in the comments

If you want light go with 4+1 or a 2+1 vertical paintball harness. That's what I'm trying to get all my gear moved towards because we're at the point where I'm dealing directly with the parks department on holding an event or two and tactical milsim style gear is not a thing they are hot on.
For Nerf you want the cheaper style of PB harness, the kind that doesn't use retention fabric on the elastic bottoms because that will effect the amount of mags you can stuff in one. You want the all elastic, vertical style like these: https://www.amazon.com/Valken-17135-Harness-Harness-Fate/dp/B003LMCBLU/
Or the no elastic at all top loaders like these:
https://www.amazon.com/Maddog-Sports-Vertical-Paintball-Harness/dp/B00XKE3G7W/
Most, and I say most because it varies on construction, of the harnesses can carry around two Nerf mags per pouch area so on a 4+1 you're looking at eight mags and a pouch for extras.

I always recommend my pod pack when this question inevitably comes up.

Really aren't many options at this price that are as good from what I can tell.

u/ManWithYourPlan · 2 pointsr/paintball

Whatever you choose, make sure that it's designed for paintball, or that a review has verification/confirmation that it's able to hold pods.

It would suck to order a vest only to find out it wasn't compatible with pods bigger than the mini ones.

I'm sure you aren't looking for something ridiculously expensive, but here are 2 that I found that seem pretty good as far as vests go:

The BT one is more expensive, but holds 8 pods and an extra tank... kind of excessive, but of course you can fill as needed.

Other than those, if you're wanting something slim, though it isn't a vest, the Dye Attack Pack comes in camo, though it is also expensive... it has to option of holding a metric shit ton of pods.

I only do skirmishes (I can't afford to go to any big events), so I haven't really needed to invest in storage for long games. My RPK's drum mag is usually enough.

That being said, I have heard of some people using those paintball tubes you strap on as a belt (These things), but filling them with bbs instead.

The Maddog is not the most comfortable harness. For an extra couple dollars, consider the Valken Fate. It has a bit more cushion and is availabe through Prime.

Here is a cheap paintball pod pouch that I use for magazine storage. It holds two 18-rnds per pocket, four total. It just has simple belt loops, and it comes with its own belt with a plastic buckle. Simple, but it works well enough for me. The pouches are a little tight, you might have to practice reloading quickly with them, because if you're not careful they can get snagged.

Here's a 3-pocket variant, I don't have this one but I assume it would hold 6 mags just fine

u/wynevans · 1 pointr/Nerf

I use these in UCP for both paintball and Nerf. They hold 2 pods or 4x18's perfectly, and will close, albeit barely, over the 18's. Academy sports has them for ~$12.

I do not know why you need a Knife in paintball, I like the pods in the back with my tank on a line so its less in front so I can crouch easier. My friend uses this one Click me for link He enjoys it, I prefer just a pod belt. The pod belt I use is this Proto 3+4

These hold 4x buzzbee 20s and elite mags pretty well. You have to cut the flaps off to use with 18/20s, they're not long enough.

It can be a tight fit though for non-buzzbee mags (elite style without rounded edges), wearing them in helps, and probably your seam cut idea, but I never had to do that. Worker 22s won't fit 4 (can only fit 2 in total).

I use a paintball Pod Pack to carry my 18 round Mags. I bought 4 of these and string them on the same belt. I also have a Dump pouch to reclaim loose darts and hold my empty mags. I used to use a shotgun bandoleer for front loading blasters, but I found those bend the darts out of shape, so I just keep them floating around in the dump pouch.

JT Sports pod holders

Toruk has a review of them somewhere in his blog. That is where I found out about them.

They fit snug and tight. If you want them to be looser you should leave a couple of 18rd mags in them regularly. The first time jamming some mags in there was tough.

u/mcgrittles04 · 1 pointr/paintball

I used this for 10 round tubes. If you flipped it upside down you could run the tubes capless. App 50 round hopper is a pretty good one, but if you're going stock class you could go the way my buddy did with his cocker and just use pvc pipe and a cci feed port.

u/Foamie · 1 pointr/paintball

I've used a JT harness that is expandable with the amount of pods by adding sleeves to it for a long time and it is extremely durable and decently comfortable. I'm gonna be upgrading to another pack soon for speedball reasons, but I've seen them go for like $20 on PBNation used, but don't think they are made anymore new.

No elastic so it is super durable with nothing to get snagged on, but the downside is that it holds pods in by pressure alone so on a speedball field you have to kind reach your arm up and pull your arm down from the top instead of just having it launched into your hands.

I know you got your answer already, but if you got Amazon Prime and use a Valken set, I remember I saw one on there as well, even has larger options.

Something like this is more than you’ll ever need playing rec ball. I’ve bought 3 harnesses and my favorite is an HK army eject that I got used for $20 on eBay.
