576 of these badasses
This is called a discus launch glider, they're fucking awesome
Here's a link to one, they're really fun to just take to the park and go wild with for an afternoon
Box of 48 for $12.45 shipped with Prime on Amazon.
No...? It’s a cardboard airplane. Like these
Did you watch the new trailer? They did so much stuff that I hadn't even considered as a possibility at all! I'm sure it's just scratching the surface too. Still, even if it ends up being a $50 game's worth of content, $20 for a multi set building kit isn't out of line with other sets out there, and these sets seem a lot more complicated than the kinds of sets you normally get. Like here's a random example that's just one model for $10.. Since Labo comes with 4 sets (minus the bugs which are super simple), that's just $5 per set, which is actually really good considering the complexity of them.
If anyone wants to relive their childhood

Oh yeah, you have to find a bulk pack of those balsa planes, I used to love those!
Edit: Amazon to the rescue
And these...man I just might order some myself
http://www.amazon.com/ASSORTED-GLIDERS-different-planes-total/dp/B001D99IUA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397160476&sr=8-1&keywords=foam+planes
Got your back, Here's a 48 pack on Amazon for $10. And there's more variety in the related, including: The Blue Rubber band ones, and The weighted balsa wood ones.
do you have 9 dollars?
So.. To get a complete plane/radio/batteries/charger all ready to fly at $100 means it will be all proprietary to itself. Nothing you buy for this plane could be used for another plane. It is a horrible way to "Get into the hobby"
Now if you are OK with that, then we can make a few $100 stand alone recommendations.
If you are serious about "Getting into the hobby", then you really need to spend more now to avoid wasting your money now and having to spend even more later.
If you can't afford that right now (and even if you can) I highly suggest finding a local club and seeing if they will let you play on their trainer/buddy box. Most will let you do it at least once without having to join the club.
Edit: This is a decent sub $100 RTF plane for a newbie. https://www.amazon.com/Park10-Toys-Sky-King-Airplane-Aircraft/dp/B07N44B7WG
Cheap + fun = Balsa Wood Planes
Like these ones: http://www.amazon.com/Guillow-Jetfire-Twin-Pack/dp/B0006FHAXO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411051571&sr=8-2&keywords=balsa+wood+planes
Even cheaper if you buy them in a hobby shop or toy store.
Just throwing this out here.
Boom
Amazon sells them. I, too, remember when they were in every supermarket checkout line. Back when U-Control was a thing and we were trying to beat the russkies at space stuff and people drank Tab and Tang. Those were the days!
$20k?? I've found an airplane kit for much cheaper.
Found a set of 12 for only $1.99. Cost me $7 plus shipping.
the ones with landing gear and props were cool too.

Review of the kit:

Plastic kits do not come with paint or glue.
Alternatively, this is a laser cut model kit for a flying model, though it takes some skill to make it work well:

They come in a bunch of balsa wood parts, some tissue paper to cover the frames with, and rubber band propeller. Quite a challenge, actually, if you've never built one before.

I found some more stuff that made me laugh. Not entering again - just laughing at the things I found:
Fairy Tattoos
YEEE ARRRRR tattoos
A crab bracelet charm
1p over pirate pencils
Dinosaur gliders. Fuck yeah!
Relive your childhood with parachute army men
This is 17p over. But this reminded me of being a kid so much. Remember people saying theirs was pregnant? Good times. Pregnant plastic alien goop
Some good ideas here
Though the correct answer as always is an entire fleet of these airplanes
