If you're into literature about North Korea, I would also recommend Eyes of the Tailless Animals by Soon Ok Lee.

I always thought these screen shots of amazon reviews were made up, so I decided to look this one up. It’s real and I’ll never judge an amazon review again!

Here it is

u/yolo_scrub · 3 pointsr/wallstreetbets

/u/thelmairene you may need one of these. I have confirmed you can purchase.

u/thatdudebutch · 3 pointsr/OculusQuest

Here’s a good set of wipes. For hands and face and work good on the pleather cover from VR cover as well as the rest of the surfaces of the Quest, e.g. strap, controllers, front etc

  1. You have missed an awfule lot of snapchatting and the shameless complimenting of /u/skinslip1's beard.

  2. I did notice. I also noted the lack of snaps.

  3. I miss /u/Aerys1...feel like we haven't talked in forever

  4. Fourth thing

  5. You need this and this and these and finally this to help you feel better :D

I came from a CV1, if their record is anything to be considered, everything about Oculus headsets feels like an engineering compromise. I respect them trying to make VR accessible, but if I had to compare it, the Rift does feel like the consoles of VR. Index does feel like the more open and long term solution; and just holding the two side by side, the Index feels better built and like a professional headset where the Rift feels like a prototype or inexpensive option.

Revive was just a matter of installing it, while I haven't gotten Stormlands yet, everything has worked fine with just a brightness text file tweak for Vader Immortal.

For accessories: If you wear glasses, get VROptician for astigmatism and high index prescriptions otherwise WidmoVR might be fine. If you plan on sharing your experience or even just playing movement heavy games, consider getting a spare Gasket, some face wipes for before/after, and some alcohol swabs of some type to clean the gasket when you're done (these are kinda overkill but I want my investment to last and make it comfortable for everyone I share with). Glasses protectors for anyone in your household or circle that uses glasses. Definitely don't let people wear glasses with it on (or do, at your own risk, again, I'm paranoid). If you want to transport it, consider getting a Pelican case knockoff, got mine from Harbor Freight for $60 and it does a great job of protecting it when I bring it to parties and friend's places and adds to the "look how professional this VR headset is" factor.

I have a supply of germ removal wipes that work well after a long VR session both for wiping my face as well as the gasket, so to avoid having to wash it too often.

Don't leave toilet paper, leave these delightful tissues instead. Nothing wakes you up quite like that menthol surprise after you wipe.

I got this idea from a friend when his mom put a box of these tissues in their bathroom at home.

  • 136,875,000 tissues are used every single day for that purpose, according to my very quick estimations.*

  • $2,053,125.00 per day is spent on tissues for that purpose.*

    _____

This is assuming at least five tissues are used at each clean up and only one event happens that day per man who decides to partake in said event. My number accounts for a large percentage of people who will (for a myriad of reasons) not partake in such an event during any typical day. I.E., they have a girlfriend who wishes to partake, they are deciding to go without for experimental reasons, they have health issues, they simply don't need to because of a previous day's event, et cetera.

**This calculation uses this as a reference point and price-point.
    _____

I decided to show a little bit of the math.

    156,500,000 U.S. males.

Minus those who are too old and too young. (30%)

    109,500,000

Minus those who partook the day before, used their significant other recently, and other reasons. (75%)

    27,375,000

Multiplied by five tissues per one event, per one day.

    136,875,000
