Welcome to the wonder that is uplay. I was given Anno as a gift at the Christmas sale, and as much as I loved the game, it was incredibly frustrating to not be able to play it one of the Sundays then because they were doing maintenance on their forums and had taken everything down for it (the forums were down for a week).

About three weeks ago it seems Ubi decided to... "upgrade"... their uplay platform. I found out about this because I'd decided to try playing Anno after a few month hiatus, and was getting errors saying my install wasn't correct. This didn't go away for several days, and the most common fix suggestions I found didn't help.

Last night, having some free time finally to play Revelations after buying it a day or two ago, I got messages on trying to log in that my username or password were wrong. It was only after trying the password reset and seeing no change that I checked the forums and found the issue was on Ubi's side. Par for the course at this point.

This is the last straw for me. Issues like this might be acceptable if the service is new, or if it lets you play for a day or two without logging in, or if you're doing a launch of incredible scale (a la Diablo 3), but this is none of these things. This is a more than six month old game (whether its Anno or Revelations), primarily single player, and there is absolutely no excuse for fucking up their own platform with further useless updates. DIAF Ubi.

Edit: Actually OP, being British you're a lot closer to the source of the problem that we are. Ubi is a French company, with HQ in Rennes. For your convenience, I checked Amazon UK, and they do sell these nice pitchforks...

I think it will depend on how the episode plays out. If she majorly screws up and then loses the lip sync to a lovable assassin like Katya it will be sad but I think people will grudgingly accept it. If she doesn't do terribly bad and ends up going home against a villain or someone who clearly lost the lip sync, there will probably be riots. I'm just curious about what Trixie will think about it all since she hangs out on this sub.

I just had a quick gander on Amazon, and so far I find them unconvincing. The manure fork has a cool name and good length, but the tines spread away from the center line, which doesn't strike me as optimal for power delivery. The cheaper spading fork has straight tines, but really seems to be rather short.

Two choices:

1. Plant rye in October. In May, kill the rye and plant Bermuda. Between now and October, water to encourage weed growth, and spray glyphosate every 3 weeks.
   
2. Plant Bermuda no later than the end of August. This carries a risk that the grass won't have long enough to establish before temps go below 60. Make sure not to let the soil dry out until the grass is normal height. (See instructions here, particularly step 2.)
   
   It looks like the area with the grass still on it may be a bit of a slope. If that's the case, you're probably better off not completely removing the existing grass, to prevent erosion. Make sure it's dead, then rake it so that the seed can contact the ground. You can physically aerate if you want--you can use a fork for that. After seeding, cover the area with 1/4" of compost. If I'm reading the pic wrong and it's flat, you can remove the grass using a hoe. (Here's a cheap but decent small one that would get the job done if you don't mind working on your hands and knees).
   
   Edit: You could do #2 now, and if that doesn't work out, use #1 (minus the repeated weed killing) as a backup plan.
