Sch.80 is too tight, slightly looser but still snug is the polycarbonate I used for a couplered XBZ, 6 inch barrels and stock Mega worked if the heads didn't have overglue. Great with Accufake Megas

We broke one of those HITS sticks. They are basically a 1" polycarbonate tube, you can by a 6' length of the stuff on Amazon for $20. 1" diameter, 1/8" wall thickness. http://www.amazon.com/Small-Parts-Clear-Polycarbonate-Tube/dp/B003TJ9YI8

I am not sure what he uses for his solid rods, but 6/6 nylon rod is going to be very similar, and you won't break it.

I was looking at doing something like this and was going to put the LED into something like this. I think the tubing would act like a shield for LED and you could use some screws to hold it in the plastic underbody.

Something like this? The shipping is a bit stupid on that, but you might be able to follow the universe of "see what others bought!" links to something cheaper.

Here's one a bit smaller but a quarter the price (including shipping).

Edit: WTF, those are literally links to 4"x4' transparent tubing on Amazon.
