Yes! The Brook super converter has always worked for me. You just need to be sure to keep the firmware on it up to date or it will randomly disconnect. They're pretty good at keeping up with the PS4s updates.

Nobody's mentioned this but Sony started selling a dedicated dongle for the DS4 that has full feature support, including the headset audio. It's definitely the way to go. No muss, no fuss.

Sony DS4 adapter.
I have the DS4 kit that came with the controller and their Bluetooth adapter and it works good. We play from across the room, with drunkards in the middle and it still works well.

I tried the regular Bluetooth adapters, they are okay if really close, but not across the room.
Watch /r/buildapcsales the adapter and the kit goes on sale every now and then

There are adapters that can will let you use XB1 controllers on PS4 but I don't know if the guitar controllers would be compatible

u/CaryKokujin · 5 pointsr/Games

If you're fine with a wired option then the same company makes a wired XB1 to PS4 converter. I've used it myself for shooters and haven't had any issues with it.

u/georgemcbay · 5 pointsr/DestinyTheGame

I know nothing about your particular muscular issues, so this may be of no help in your case, but the paddles on the Xbox Elite controller are much more ergonomically accessible than those on the SCUF in general:

https://cdn.geekwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Xbox-One-Paddles-620x412.jpg

I use an Xbox Elite controller on the PS4 myself simply because as someone who plays games on both platforms I prefer it to the DS4. I use it via this adapter, which works great:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDVGQ48

Admittedly, having to pay about $200 for a solution ($150 for the Elite controller, $50 for the adapter) is not ideal and I do support Bungie just adding auto-sprint as an option to the game, just throwing the information about the Elite paddles out there as a possible option if they do drop the ball on this.

u/Manthes · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Personally, I prefer the Ps4 controller to the Xbox One, but that's just me.

Anyway, after doing some googling, I found this. I think that it allows you to play on the PS4 using the Xbox one controller, but I'm not completely sure on how it works. If you want to, though, I'd say look into it.

I think there's also a Xbox one styled PS4 controller out there somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

u/gobongo · 4 pointsr/PS4

You can actually just use the Xbox Elite controller directly on the PS4 using an adapter like this:

https://amazon.com/Gam3Gear-PS4-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48

There are other options like the ChronusMax, but the Brooks one is the one I use (can vouch for it, unlike the others) and it works really well, no noticeable lag. The only semi-complaints I have about it are that the Xbox One has no touchpad so you're boned for any game that requires that (though it does emulate a generic touchpad press if you press the 'select' button on the xbox, so for games like Destiny that use the touchpad as one big button it is fine) and also you have to use it wired via USB.

Would buy a real Sony pro controller if they made one of similar quality, just to get that 100% compatibility and wireless functionality...

u/WeMakePoorChoices · 4 pointsr/Whatisthis

From what I found it’s just a mute and volume switch. link

u/TemptCiderFan · 3 pointsr/gaming

Yep. Order something like this, and spend ten minutes unscrewing the controller. Doing that will be easy because it uses standard Philips screws instead of proprietary screws.

Swap out the PS4 Controller's 1000mAH stock battery for the replacement 2000mAH battery and without doing anything else, you've just about doubled your battery life. Disconnecting the Lightbar LED basically doubles it again. Do both, and you've multiplied your effective power time by 4.

u/hovercraft_of_eels · 3 pointsr/PS4

I guess you mean a USB hub, not extension cable?
Yes, they are compatible. Several companies sell plug-in hubs that sacrifice one USB 3 port for (usually) 4 USB 2.1 ports, leaving one USB 3 direct connection. Example (Amazon)
You can also use an external hub, in which case you should opt for a powered one.

I had a lot of hand pain from using PS4 controllers, so I bought this adapter. I’ve been using an Xbox One S controller to play MLB 18 The Show with no issues at all. It’s not perfect, but my hands don’t hurt anymore and I finally have a baseball game I can play.

Sure.

You got some choices.

I run a Nvidia card at home (970 gtx) I do not know the answers to AMD flavors... in fact, what I am about to throw at you might not be possible under AMD (I don't know).

Enable streaming through GeForce Experience. Then, create a VPN between your router and your laptop (or possibly the PC and laptop) and run software called 'MoonLight'.

Done and done.

(so you can follow along, a VPN extends your home network - placing your laptop on the same network as your PC! this is important as GeForce experience won't stream remotely)

However, this sucks balls. It requires a couple hours of configuration and you are kind of in the hospital.

Fuck that running.

Get one of these:

Then subscribe to PSNOW.

She's on the right path ... I can't wear traditional gaming headsets either (though not due to glasses), so I go with the earbud method as well. And yeah - the headset earbud that comes with the PS4 is fucking atrocious. I play a couple different shooters online (and D3), and this is what I run with (coming from the background of a music junkie).

SkullCandy Smokin' Buds 2 ... they are discontinued, replaced by the Strum. That's a quality set of ear buds for <$50.

The issue I ran into, though, is the fact that the mic is now always on. That's a pain in the ass in a shooter, especially in something like The Division (or when your wife likes to talk to you while gaming, as mine does). So, I found these ... they are surprisingly lightweight, and don't throw the balance of my controllers off at all. It has a mic mute switch and volume control built into the adapter. I quickly found it was easy to flip the mic off and on with my thumb, without any gameplay interruptions.

Good luck!

u/J3553 · 2 pointsr/xboxone

It's probably your adapter. Just buy this.

u/dunger · 2 pointsr/xboxone

I use the PX51. All the features work fine with Xbox One. You need either the controller with the 3.5mm jack or a chat adapter. Also, this cable is handy if you are using one of the 3.5mm controllers. Has inline chat volume and mic mute.

http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-PlayStation-Talkback-Windscreen/dp/B00HRKF0PG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451186917&sr=8-1&keywords=PS4+Talk+Back+cable

u/omeganon · 2 pointsr/xboxone

You can't use any old 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter... it has to map the rings correctly. You're supposed to use the TB Talkback cable. This is the one I use with my Earforce Tango's. The TB compatibility page shows it'll work for yours as well.

u/Havavege · 2 pointsr/xboxone

As an alternative to modding cables (easy and inexpensive), for any Turtle Beach headset that has the 2.5 mm mini jack connector (like the PX5's), you can pick up an adapter and cable instead of modding.

u/HIZLO · 2 pointsr/PS4

Hey bud, I felt the same way after using the Dual Shock 4 myself. I found these work great and give the controller a tad bit of width. The rear grip makes finger placement easy and personally I have zero hand cramps when they are on.

https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Skidproof-Dualshock-Controller-PlayStation-4/dp/B01N91PO9U/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_icp_0_38?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01N91PO9U&pd_rd_r=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC&pd_rd_w=Vk7Wn&pd_rd_wg=geoXL&pf_rd_i=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3314166702&pf_rd_r=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC&pf_rd_s=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC

Second option was getting the Xbox One controller to work on PS4. I had purchased the the TitanOne but the PS4 has some kind of check system and the device would hiccup every 7 to 10 mins. It became a real pain in the ass having to hook up extra stuff in order to get it to work.

A new device came out called Gam3Gear Brook Design. This usb adapter works like the TitanOne but with zero issues! Check this out...

just make sure whenever ps4 has an system update, that you check the products website to see if theres a firmware update for it.

u/lerptyderp · 2 pointsr/spelunky

That would definitely affect my play.(although I think that the Dpads are a bit different as well)
In my experience ps controller are convex on top as opposed to the concave joysticks which your thumb kinda fits into on the xb controllers.

There is a company called mayflash which makes adapters for playing with controllers from different consoles.

Or

Hori RAP V. Kai(https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Arcade-Pro-V-Fighting-Stick-Windows/dp/B0136JP894) $150

A simple way to make these work on PS4 is using a X1 to PS4 converters.

Maybe this:
https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Converter-Controller-Keychain-PlayStation-3/dp/B01H5PCYYW/
But that's a lot of money to gamble on a "maybe"

u/NotRoozy · 2 pointsr/GuitarHero

1st suggestion: Get this. https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Converter-Controller-Keychain-PlayStation-3/dp/B01H5PCYYW/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=PS2+to+PS4&qid=1574845024&s=electronics&sr=1-1

If the one I linked doesn't work or has the same problem as yours, let me know when that happens.

2nd suggestion: I would recommend getting a Rock Band 4 guitar for the PS4.

u/typoFN · 2 pointsr/FortNiteBR

Yeah I just plug into a usb slot on the back, Sony DUALSHOCK 4 USB Wireless Adapter - PlayStation 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_P25wCbPX4ZD4R . That’s the one I got from amazon, no problems at all so far. And I use a scuf aswell

u/MrDelval · 2 pointsr/Steam

Do you have a "Sony's DualShock wireless dongle" if so then you can connect wireless via big picture mode.

u/bluebottled · 2 pointsr/Games

Do you have a source for that? Because Valve seems to get by fine with the Steam Controller. I think this is probably the actual reason, not Microsoft.

u/shaosam · 2 pointsr/pcgaming

This guy?

People don't seem very happy with it at the moment.

u/cheech790 · 2 pointsr/playstation

It was released yesterday in the EU, it is going to be [released in a few days in the US](https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Entertainment-DUALSHOCK-4 USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/). I've got one, but so far it's pretty useless because there aren't any games who support the adaptor yet.

u/Kefro · 2 pointsr/hardwareswap

If you are looking for wireless connectivity on your PC, just buy a cheap Bluetooth USB dongle. They go around ~$10. I would only assume that's the reason why they stopped producing the adaptor.

Amazon has them for ~$50

u/Mr_pessimister · 2 pointsr/RocketLeague

I'd say you have a few options.

  1. Try a different USB cable. I use a DS4 on my PC and I had a cable that would "wobble" and cause disconnect issues when holding the controller in certain ways.

  2. If it is the controller and not the cable then you could try to replace it with something like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Charging-Port-Board-JDS-011-for-Sony-PS4-Controller-Dualshock-w-Flex-Cable-/162247616902?hash=item25c6b62986:g:lngAAOSwnbZYCPjK There are plenty of youtube tutorials. Doesn't seem too hard.

  3. You could get a Bluetooth dongle if your PC does not already support bt. I have used one, but in my experience where I live I get a lot of interference and the controller latency can spike if it's not right next to the receiver so it wasn't an option for me.

  4. You could get one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487199864&sr=8-1&keywords=dualshock+4+usb+wireless+adapter

While more pricey I have read that both the range and reliability of the signal are head and shoulders above a generic bluetooth adapter.

    Best of luck!

P.S. I missed this when reading your post, but /u/Jamaicancoconut is correct. Dualshock 4 works directly with RL without the need for DS4Windwos/Input Mapper/360CE/etc.
u/delnoob · 2 pointsr/skyrim

yep, you can do it two different ways. easiest is to directly plug it into the pc or you can use a bluetooth dongle if you want to retain the wireless function (i'll link below). after you have it connected (give it a few sec as it may need to do some auto install thing to work properly), open steam and in the top right corner you'll see a controller. click that and it should open "big picture mode" which will basically turn your computer into a console. from there you can select the game you want to play from your library, buy new ones, search the web, etc.

Sonys official dongle (only one dongle per controller, but will retain audio connection)
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488314023&sr=8-1&keywords=ps4+bluetooth+dongle

universal donge (will connect multiple controllers, but will not retain audio through the controller)
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Adapter-Costech-Compatible-computers/dp/B01BQO3QZO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1488314023&sr=8-6&keywords=ps4%2Bbluetooth%2Bdongle&th=1

u/zakabog · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Yeah, you need to purchase a bluetooth adapter. Sony sells one which you can purchase on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWLKKQU

u/wtn81764 · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Hi before this update my PS4 USB dongle use to work now it doesn't, anyone know how to fix this?

u/iCeCoCaCoLa64 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

You could do what I do and use a Dualshock 4 Wireless Adapter. That way you can use your controller wirelessly.

Also, my friend has used his PS4 controller wired almost daily, and his mUSB port is completely fine. Don't cheap out on controllers.

u/LoveCheeze · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

You mean this thing with average 2.8 review score?

u/qchto · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Of course.

One of those is connected the regular way under Ubuntu(the first 2 minutes of this video show how exactly), that's the one used for the PCSX2.

The other one is connected through a DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor by passing the entire device to a Windows VM running USFIV (I think using only a bluetooth dongle in the same way would work as well, but I honestly won't bet on Windows management of bluetooth devices).

u/SilentBobVG · 2 pointsr/buildapc

If he's playing a combination of both new games and older games, via emulators, I would strongly recommend the Dualshock 4 along with the adapter to get it working on PC

u/Blaaznar · 2 pointsr/destiny2

PS4 wireless controller works perfectly in all games for me since I bought this:

Sony DualShock 4 Wireless Adaptor

u/Jvnldelinquent · 2 pointsr/gaming

PlayStation specifically has a usb Bluetooth connector for the DualShock 4. It looks like a little flash drive. For XBOX, I’m not entirely sure.

Its on the pricey end of the options

u/Hisouda · 2 pointsr/dragonballfighterz

You don't really need a ds4 if you want to use it on the PS4. I play on PC, but when I head out to tournaments I just use this adapter

u/Sawcks · 2 pointsr/UnderNightInBirth

The only way to avoid a controller is to pick up a PS4 Dongle which is like 10 bucks. But for the most part, I strictly use my F500 for PC only. Decided to grab a HORI pro 4 to play on consoles. The dongles plug into the controller slot and SHOULD work properly. I haven't tried this yet tbh

Edit this should work

If you can't find earbuds like that, you could buy something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7HFX3J

With that you have volume control and a mute button for any headphones.

u/WiteWulf · 2 pointsr/PS4

I use one of these:

BEBONCOOL PS4 Slim HUB High Speed Charger Controller Splitter Expansion Adapter (Only for PS4 Slim) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XMQ79WC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

That one’s the right size for the Slim but I think they do them for Pro as well. It matches the profile of the front of the PS4 and gives you 3x USB2 and 1x USB3

This is great for charging my DS4s and headphones but only having a single USB3 means I need to swap the cable for PSVR and the dongle for my headphones, as they only operate properly on the USB3 port.

The best solution, technically, would be a powered USB3 hub, but I was trying to reduce cabling and clutter in my cabinet.

I own the Hori arcade stick. I really like it and it works very well.

I also own a PS3 mad cats TE stick (mine has different art than this, best match I could find), I really like that one too. I use this usb stick to make mine work with my switch

I find that these sticks each have their own pros and cons.

I use the MadCatz on my pc as my main steam controller. I use the Hori on my switch. The adapter is used for when a friend comes over. I would never take the MadCatz stick to a competition. It only takes one drunk dudebro spilling a beer to ruin my irreplaceable controller.

If I were you, I would pick the Hori controller for simplicity and price. However if you want to try the MadCatz I found this for about 85-100, it may pair well with the use this usb stick for a very good $120-130 price tag. However the $85 sticks are stated to be in what amazon calls "acceptable condition" and may be missing packaging, manuals, or other pieces.

This is late but if your DS4 is getting really bad with the battery, it's fairly easy to replace them. Much easier than older model controllers, I believe it's like 6-8 screws, you pop it open, unplug battery, replug new one, and it's good to go. Runs about 10 bucks on Amazon

If you have a DS4 check this out.

It's flush-fit so it doesn't get lose. I've only had it for a week so far though so I can't report on the long-term reliability.

Also if you have a DS4, make sure you aren't setting it down with the cable in on a flat surface because it's actually resting with all the weight on the cable. I think that might be what was causing my failures.

There's a device for ps4 that lets you use Xbox one controllers on ps4. It's about $40 on Amazon right now. I use it, too. I've not tried it with the adaptive controller specifically, but it works with my Ben Heck custom modded controller, and the adaptive controller is supposed to function just like a standard controller, so out should work. The Xbox Elite controller once you can retrain your brain to use the paddles is a game changer.especially in shooters where the trigger locks can literally make you faster than the other guy.

Plug and play. Only downside is you're always wired and you can't turn the console on with the controller. Honestly though, I'd stick with the PS4 Controller... I got used to it eventually. Some Kontrol Freeks CQC might help.

It’s a little usb stick that lets you use a certain controller on a console. For me i have the Xbox elite controller but started to play more on the PS4 over the last year or so. I decided to use my elite and it works great just plug and play. Only issue is an update from Sony could break the compatibility. It rarely happens but it happened this time. The company is usually pretty quick about updating the software for the converter.

The easiest way is buy the official Sony PS4 to PC adapter, but right now it's silly expensive. Here.

As for getting it to work how it worked previously, I can't recommend much because I don't know what you changed since it worked last. I would suggest getting rid of programs you installed recently that allow manipulation of the ps4 controller and start from scratch. Steam should be smart enough to pick it up and configure it rumble included if the controller is wired under normal circumstances.

u/Skubidus · 1 pointr/RocketLeague

Well if you don't have a dongle and the cable not connected, how would the controller transmit the data to your pc then? ;)

This is what you'll need to play wirelessly with your Dualshock 4 on PC:

https://www.amazon.de/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KHFIO82

u/Astr0Scot · 1 pointr/PlayStationNow

Try running DS4Windows.

It'll set your DS4 up as an Xinput/360 controller which will act as a PS3 controller and work perfectly for any games that don't need the specific DS4 capabilities (options button etc).

To get the DS4 capabilities you need one of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-PlayStation-DualShock-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KHFIO82

u/Frinpollog · 1 pointr/Steam
  1. Did you check the box for PlayStation controller support in big picture mode? I ask this since you’re implying you connected the PS3 controller in some other fashion.

  2. Steam Input lets you customize your configuration, but ultimately will either output as a m/kb, or a Xbox controller, or both. Some games (ex. Okami) fully support SIAPI and will recognize your controller as such. You can check out r/steamcontroller for more information.

  3. On that note, some games support DS4 natively to various degrees (Rocket League is one). I use a wired connection but what I do is enable PS controller support across the board, and then individually set the controller option to “Forced off”. It’s up to the developers to set up DS4 controls, and most just rely on Xinput (Xbox controller style).

  4. Windows will always see the DS4 as a generic controller (dinput). At this point you need Steam or an API wrapper [like DS4Windows] if you want to use it on modern games.

  5. Those drivers you mention could’ve interfered with the PS4 controller. If you’re done with the dualshock 3, then remove the drivers entirely. If not, still remove those drivers replace them with the drivers that come with PS Now. Steam Input also supports the PS3 controller.

  6. Bluetooth connections are sometimes finicky. It really just depends on the model and brand of the adapter. There are other ways to connect it wirelessly: Sony made this stick if you really want PS Buttons, but are overpriced nowadays due to lack of demand. If you can deal with Xbox buttons, there are other brands like Brook and Mayflash.

u/Blieque · 1 pointr/Android

Hello again. I just tried to get something working and had no luck, over Bluetooth or USB OTG, with ePSXe (PlayStation 1) or PPSSPP (PSP). I think it might be a combination of changes in new versions of Android and alterations made by OnePlus in OxygenOS. Sixaxis Controller may work on the 3T, but it does require root access and hasn't been confirmed to work beyond Android Marshmallow to my knowledge.

As for PC, I can get it working nicely over USB and Bluetooth on Linux (using ds4drv). On Windows, however, Bluetooth disconnects after a few seconds. Ubisoft's Steep has DS4 support, but DS4Windows can be used for games that only have Xbox controller support. I'm thinking about getting the official Sony USB Bluetooth adaptor. It can be bought for £20 in some places, which still isn't cheap, but it should be guaranteed to work on Windows and macOS.

You can use the standard DS4 you got for your PS4 for your Steam gaming by attaching it via a USB cable.

To make the DS4 work wireless on the PC or Mac for something like Steam or Remote Play, you can get something like the Sony Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller Starter Kit which includes a DS4 and the USB Wireless BlueTooth transmitter or you can get just the Sony Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter sold separately.

Note: I have also come across references of making generic USB BlueTooth Adapters work, but it is more complicated to get them synced with your DS4 and get them working. Those solutions also tend to require some 3rd party software which basically detect your DS4 like an Xbox 360 controller so the game shows Xbox button prompts instead of DS4 button prompts.

If for whatever reason the perfectly viable method above isn't working or you prefer official methods, Sony sells their own adapter specifically for PC despite the controller being able to work with a simple bluetooth adapter... Here is a link to it if you want it.

Edit: aaand even the "official" adapter apparently doesn't natively work with just any game. You are better off with a bluetooth adapter and the software posted above.

u/Lorelei_Valfreyja · 1 pointr/buildapc

I've been using Sony's DualShock 4 Wireless USB Adapter.

I purchased the DS4+Dongle bundle at Best Buy, it's on sale a few times throughout the year for $39.99. However, it's currently $69.99.

u/plurally · 1 pointr/pcgaming

I've used a few different micro-usb to usb cables and how well they stay in the DS4 is really hard to predict but the one I have now doesn't fall out, but if the click-in metal part breaks then you really just have to get a new wire. Or the jack could be faulty, it's hard to know but with wires that had the metal clicking part broken or not existent then it would sometimes fall out of the back of my controller while gaming. I would test this by making sure the micro-usb connection is actually clicking into the back of the controller, if you can pull it out of the back with minimal effort it might be a good idea to test a few other wires to see if they stay in or come out easily. I'd also test another USB jack if the controller's connection seems firm.

I heard that a regular bluetooth dongle would work but that was not the case for me (except for the steam-link that bluetooth just worked). It could be that the cheap bluetooth dongle I had just didn't work but I had nothing else to test.

So, I just bought the official DS4 bluetooth dongle and it works fine and it's currently the only way to be able to use the headphone jack in the controller but I usually don't use it because there's still no way to use bluetooth without emulating a 360 controller right now. The official dongle appears to also not be sold anymore on newegg, gamestop, or wal-mart and amazon has it for more than twice the price I paid for it and it's not available with prime anymore, so that may not be an acceptable solution. But I also bought a cheap 10 dollar bluetooth dongle and thought maybe my motherboard was broken or windows bluetooth didn't work but I tried it on a laptop and it still didn't work, so I bought the official dongle for 20 dollars and it just worked. Maybe just don't cheap out on the bluetooth dongle, I'm not entirely sure how to test this without a different computer and/or another bluetooth device to check.

Also there could be software problems if you're using ds4windows/inputmapper and not turning on exclusive mode. I've never had a problem with this but without exclusive mode windows will detect the ds4 on its own and the xinput wrapper for it as two separate inputs that may conflict with each other. So, make sure that the box for that is ticked and the program you use is updated. If the problem is for certain games it could be a problem with games that automatically switch from controller to keyboard/mouse like witcher 3 because if there's like a hair under your mouse it will constantly switch between the two which might cause your controller to feel like it's disconnected because the kb/m took control, though this is rare for games to have as a feature and probably not likely.

You can just use the charging cable, which is a usb/ micro usb cable. Or you can buy this.

u/Azurified · 1 pointr/RocketLeague

It needs to be plugged in unless you want to buy this, which makes it wireless. However, the wireless adapter also adds input lag.

u/FoN925 · 1 pointr/PS4

Here or here.

Be sure to read reviews and do some research on these things before buying one. I almost pre-ordered one before realizing I didn't need one after all.

u/RainbowGoddamnDash · 1 pointr/patientgamers

IIRC, there were certain brands that would work better with the DS4/DS3.

Like this one worked perfectly for me until my ps4 controller died

But now you can just get one of these from Sony themselves

u/CannibalVegan · 1 pointr/GameSale

one of these guys? https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU

Best Buy was selling them for $40 WITH a PS4 controller a while back, good luck.

u/Teknoxyn · 1 pointr/RocketLeague

Apparently it's no longer available so it looks like they are expensive... I would not recommend spending $40 on it... I think MSRP was 15ish when I bought it at Best Buy. You should be able to use a bluetooth adapter if your PC does not have it built in.

Again, here's what I use but I wouldn't buy it for this much.

u/kennyamr · 1 pointr/ffxiv

I am not sure about pairing it via bluetooth but I do use a cable USB and it recognizes it without any problem, I just need to set up the gamepad type in FFXIV's settings and I'm ready to go, no need for third party software.
Maybe I'm mistaken but I think you may need to buy the official Sony USB wireless adaptor for $21.49.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/
However, I think I heard you actually could connect it via bluetooth without it and make it work, again, not sure.

u/st0neh · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

It's not cheap but yeah, it's just another dongle.

u/RestInPieces2 · 1 pointr/techsupport

There is an official adapter for this now.

https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479682561&sr=8-1&keywords=playstation+4+pc+adapter

It mentions playing games that are streamed but it works for other games too, like Rocket League.

u/Randall_Stevenz · 1 pointr/RetroPie

I can't speak to your crash issues, but I found that the only way I could get my DS4 working was to purchase this:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KWLKKQU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Seriously, it works PERFECT.

u/Dark-Drinker · 1 pointr/gaming

If your looKing for a wireless option I would recommend picking up a Sony Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter. Works great on my Windows 10 computer.

Edit: Make sure you have the latest version of DS4Windows installed and you should be good to go.

Don't know about a Bluetooth dongle that would work. You can also use a USB cable to use your ps4 controller on pc

Sony Bluetooth link

Works well enough for me. My computer is old though.

u/notpatricks · 1 pointr/gamingheadsets

You could buy a wired headset audio controller from amazon and plug it into the headset port of your y splitter. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about checkout this linkHeadset Audio Controller

u/gongfuren · 1 pointr/fightsticks

No.

However, you can use one of these adapters (make sure you update the adapter's firmware first): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075445R7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PHtCDbVFYY4T4

u/ezPlays · 1 pointr/dbfz

Yes sir indeed. You’ll just need to pop in to settings and enable pro controller usb (or something like that. )

Edit: Almost forgot! You can even go wireless with a DS4/3

u/ChromeTape · 1 pointr/deaf

You're welcome! I'm just glad to help.

The BAHA is on my left (worst) side, and it does actually stimulate the cochlear a little on that side - which was a surprise - but the main benefit comes from the audio that's transferred over to the right.

I use an Oticon Medical Streamer instead of headphones, but your options will depend on the sound processor (HA) you choose. The Oticon streamer can connect to one device via bluetooth (it's permanently connected to my smartphone) and I use a 4-pole cable to connect it to other devices (TV, PC, tablet, etc.). I even plug it into my guitar amp.

I'm in the UK so I'm afraid I can't help with the insurance question. The NHS provided by Ponto 3 SP. I feel a little guilty when I read about the difficulty people overseas have accessing hearing aids due to the cost.

u/thephantomnaut · 1 pointr/fightsticks

Yeah they sadly don't sell the cables themselves. While I can't verify these are compatible, some folks are selling cables on Amazon (1, 2). Might have to take a leap of faith.

u/TheSteelPhantom · 0 pointsr/PS4

Awesome to know. I'm looking at one right now on Amazon, and had to check the product description to find what you said was true. Before I pull the trigger on it, can you confirm this is the right one??

I fucked around with DS4 for a while until I found out there’s a sony wireless adapter for pc. It’s a bit expensive but it works like a charm.

u/smith0211 · 0 pointsr/gaming

Why does noone seem to know that there is an official DS4 adapter for PC? https://www.amazon.com/dp/product/B01KWLKKQU/

u/makoblade · 0 pointsr/buildapc

For DS4 there's only one. Buy from wherever has the best price.
