'color compression restoration'... aka... we make up missing information.

edit: it's a scam. I thought they looked familiar...

These Guys

Get two of them and you can hook them together, or swap them out when needed. I'm not sure what your power situation will be in Mozambique but a solar charger with a USB connection would be good. (They charge via USB). They last a pretty long time, I was happy with mine, just don't play them too loud for too long or you may blow them out. But, good little speakers.
I feel like I got them for cheaper than they are listed, check around.

I love these speakers.

They recharge via USB, have high sound quality, are very portable, and are surprisingly loud. You can also link several together.

This. I just got one for myself and it's amazing. The biggest problem I had with the iPad was the speaker - especially since it points the wrong direction and I would have to put my hand behind it half the time just to hear anything coming out of it if I was in a room with any other noise. This speaker solves the problem completely, looks cool, is battery powered, etc. And he can also use it for his iphone for music.

if it's not in the shop anymore then you won't find it anywhere.

just get one of these and buy something else from the shop.

I'm looking for a good, relatively cheap (around $120) 1080p monitor to replace my 8-year old display that is unfortunately incompatible with Windows 10. Some criteria:

  • Should be compatible with Windows 10
  • Speakers would be great (I forgot to buy a sound card or speakers, and ended up using this crappy thing), but I'm fine if it doesn't have any
  • Either HDMI or VGA should be supported

    Any suggestions? Thanks guys

My SO gave me a little iHome speaker to take. I really like it because I can recharge it via USB, and it's really portable. Also it doesn't break the bank.

For the price and size, this dude isn't bad at all. One of my friends has it and carries it around.

I could really use this speaker in order to play music from my phone. Yay! Thanks for the contest.

Here you go:

Very small size, lasts for a long time on a battery charge, seems indestructible, and the sound quality is surprisingly good.

There is an iPod/iPhone speaker that is shaped like an android robot. That is what I assume this is.

I have the iHome iHM60GT Rechargeable Mini Speaker, sound is pretty good but it wore out in about 2 months, currently looking to see if I can get it repaired under warranty. It was pretty cheap, about $15?

I would pick something different, cant really recommend based on build quality, but sound quality appearebntly they are better than the X Mini II, check out the video review http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OA733E/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i02

If you want the best apparently it's these at almost 3x the price http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-Ultraportable-Speaker-Players/dp/B001ELK2NY/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk

A portable speaker is a great idea. He will spend countless hours watching movies and television shows on his computer, and a portable speaker is an ideal thing to have for that. And he can use it to listen to music while he's sweeping dirt out of his hut.

I have this one and I love it. Also, it's got a rechargeable battery (via USB) that lasts a long time, so no need for batteries.

December 5th and a girl. Congratulations!

$20 and close to $40

Thanks for the contest!

I bought a small $15 speaker and velcro'd it to my dashboard so I can take it on and off when it gets hot or if I want to use the speaker elsewhere and just plug my ipod in. Works fantastic.

iPhones suck for playing music without headphones. I like to listen to mine while I shower, I was putting it in a glass bowl to amplify the sound, but the mini speakers are the shizz.

Why not just have some little speakers and listen to it like that? I got these for like 10 bucks when they was on sale. They also sound pretty good for such a little thing.

I have three iHome ihm60 rechargeable portable speakers which are excellent. I snap them up on Amazon occasionally for $16-$22 each. All of mine can play via USB or 3.5mm phono. The newer ones still charge via USB but may no longer play that way.

Here's an example

Edit this version plays via usb

Look into the iHome ones. I have bought 3 or 4 of them over the course of a few years for myself and presents and everyone always loves them. Its rechargable over any usb port. My gfriend used mine for almost 8 hours the other day off one charge (not sure how much was left).
