We started everything with a smaller trip to Montreal Canada. While there there was days we walked 28,000 steps and packing light really hit home. Some items were hard to drop but it was easy to see why the merino and travel oriented gear is so worthwhile. If there’s enough interest I will have my wife put together an updated list. Bold items are things I’ve added. I have large feet so saving a little room with those shower shoes went a long way.

The magic shoes that don't leave footprints in the epoxy.

For big toe sufferers:

When you wear this, you will never want to wear shoes again.

https://www.amazon.com/Crocs-Mens-Swiftwater-Sandal-Black/dp/B071ZZGHKS/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526400639&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=crocs+watershoe

It's like the soles are stuck to your feet and the only fastening you do is on your ankles. They don't have that embarrassing traditional Crocs look and when worn with black socks, they look like hiking shoes.

I first got them thinking it would be my "Don't Care" footwear but I ended up wearing them for more than a year at work where I usually need to do site inspections. I have regular shoes just in case I might need to look the part working with others.

I can testify that these are the best shoes when you have no choice but to wear shoes during a full blown gout attack. They soften the impact of every step and are the most comfortable soles when you need to walk funny avoiding further flexing of your big toe inflammation.

Board shorts and button up short sleeve shirts. Also masc sandals. Like, get those old man sandals. Cut your hair to suit your face, and drink all of the water. If you bind, tank binder, not a full length one. If you can get away without it, layer a thin button up over a tank top, button only one or two buttons to make the shirt cover what it needs to. If you need a reference, look at Steve Irwin's outfit (with slightly longer shorts), and just color it up a bit. Inconsistent patterns are a great way to distract from certain areas.

So, something like this:

Remember to drink plenty of water. Good luck!

I'm going somewhere else, because this sounds like the biggest piece of crap wedding on the history of the planet.

Flip flops? For groomsmen?

Unless they are getting married on the side of a pool at some scummy motel this is the most heinous act I have ever heard of.

I wish you the best of times at your profoundly white trash wedding.

Also, [these](http://www.amazon.com/Reef-Mens-Dram-Sandal/dp/B0017LIJFY "You drink shit rum, so it doesn't matter if it comes from your shoe.")

Please tell me where you found those. I need them to go with my Fish Flops. I’ll have a fish inside a fish. One could say it would be... Fishception

Sanuk beer cozy flip flops. Wore 3 of the 4 days last year, and all of Hangout the year before.

https://www.amazon.com/Sanuk-Mens-Beer-Cozy-Flip-Flop/dp/B000DZXYTQ

I just bought these, going to try out this year. Similar design with just a different sole material since the above are starting to wear out (soles are getting really smashed): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZDB4D2

Whatever you bring there's not much time to break them in and making sure they work for you and your feet. I suggest giving them a few miles at least, and then giving your feet a few days to recover before Roo.

u/blatzphemy · 2 pointsr/onebag

Great input, I have friends that swear by Tivas. I have a size 12 shoe as well and it’s a pain in the ass.

To be honest if I had to give away half my shoes tonight, it would be an easy choice. A lot of the cheaper shoes I got in college when I was figuring out my style. I'm a lot more specific in what I want now and what I need for work and leisure, so my purchases reflect that.

Take your time to buy what you like and don't be afraid to resell stuff or give shoes away to your brother or friends. That whole minimalist thing about how to tidy up by Marie Kondo applies a lot to clothes imo. There are dudes who own shoes worth five times what my collection but they might just like collecting. I make a point to wear my shoes or else I give them away (I'll be giving my beeswax desert boots and Keds to my brother once spring hits)
u/DetourDunnDee · 2 pointsr/AskMenOver30

For all day every day shoes I buy a new pair of Brook's Addiction Walkers in brown suede every year.

Around the house I'm usually barefoot, and if I have to go out real quick for mail, trash, run through the drive thru etc I have a pair of cheap Fitory flip flops I got for a beach trip this past summer and ended up really liking.

I also stopped wearing professional socks with my office khakis and just wear crazy socks 24/7. It's one of the small joys that gets me through the day. They look great in the flip flops.

Black Tevas

Wish I would have bought them before it was 90F+ every day...

u/perrycox86 · 1 pointr/keto

What's your take on Fila Skeletoes? I got a pair to use as watershoes this summer, (2 dogs, both love swimming in the local creek) and they're really comfortable. It's nice to walk and feel the surface under my feet, i feel like I have better balance. I'm wondering how they'd do out of the creek as an everyday shoe?

u/rotating_equipment · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Here are the exact ones I used.

Rainbows leather sandals.

If you are in Southern California LA/SD area, the factory is in San Clemente and a pair double layer sandals that retails around $55 is $40ish. I've been wearing rainbows double layer wide strap year-round, other than the coldest of winter days when there are more than a couple inches of snow. It is very comfortable after the initial break-in, conforms to the shape of your foot with arch support and plenty of cushion.

u/fnaelli · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I've had my Double Layer Rainbows for over three years and I'm just now considering replacing them. I'm a little hesitant because of how damn comfortable they are having been on my feet for so long. They've probably seen the most miles on the ground out of any shoes I own and would recommend them to anyone. $50 may be a little steep for flip flops for some people, but they've served me well over several vacations, camping trips, hikes believe it or not, and three summers of essentially living in them. 9/10 product.
