For that much you can get this crazy looking one with a digital readout and tons of faucets.

Vanity On this, I negotiated with the seller since I didn't like the sinks/counter/mirrors that were included. They sold me the vanity only for a lesser price than advertised. I purchased the granite for the vanity/tub/privacy wall separately.

Shower Tiles are 12x24 and were purchased at Lowes, shower mosaic tile at HD

*Flooring tiles 6x24 were purchased at HD. Grout is "bone" color and also at Home Depot.

I had this put in when we redid our master bath. It tells the temperature in a display mounted in the mirror and is powered by the water or batteries.

Installed shower panel in basement bathroom. It's surprisingly well made for the money and works great. Wife also spends a lot more time in the shower now, I think it has to do with showerhead design...

Ok, I gut sucked down the rabbit hole and spend a couple of hours on this!

it looks like these 3 way diverter valves are somewhat universal. I found a couple of places that sell things that look very very close, but you'll have to be the judge because it's going to take having your part in hand and measuring it and checking fits etc, which I have no way of doing from photos.

here's one on amazonhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00YL0T8YY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00YL0T8YY&pd_rd_w=uNvMy&pf_rd_p=42743099-3c6a-4370-bd5b-c49af87959ea&pd_rd_wg=kvyRm&pf_rd_r=PVTFXQC4PHNZ08PP76HK&pd_rd_r=3a977eb4-a1ff-11e9-8709-2f7a320de62e

here's one on some rando site https://www.divapor.com/spares/showers/diverter-cartridge/3-way-shower-valve-flow-diverter-core-distributor-single-o-ring-push-fit.php

here's one at a site that just sells spare parts https://www.steamshowerspares.com/3-output-diverter-core-green-c2x12674488

also look at the video on this page. does it look like yours? (functionally, it's obviously not the exact one) https://www.steamshowerspares.com/threaded-3-4-5-outlet-thermostatic-shower-valve-c2x23131273

there seem to be a ton of companies making similar products. all of them cheap chineseum grade stuff it looks, but at least if you need to replace the whole unit you've got a chance of finding one that will fit in the existing hole https://www.amazon.com/XZST-Bathroom-Multi-Function-Rainfall-Overhead/dp/B07BTDDWM4/ref=sr_1_93?fst=as%3Aoff&qid=1562647378&refinements=p_n_material_two_browse-bin%3A542686011&rnid=542670011&s=hi&sr=1-93

Hey I ended up going with the DreamLine SHCM-27180 Hydrotherapty Shower Panel. I got it from amazon - see the link - for around $400. It's an excellent shower system so far, and I have not had any issues to this point.

We don't use the shower jets that often, so if you want to try to save some money, you may be able to find a similar unit without them. They do look cool though. I would definitely recommend this one if it fits your budget.

Here's a pic of it in my bathroom - https://imgur.com/a/T89Oi

Got this in basement bathroom but it was a new construction

The hookups are same as washer 1/2" and there are two brackets you need to mount. After that you just hook up hoses and hang it on brackets.
There's a hundred different version of this panel but essentially they're all same design and probably made at same factory. For the money I'm very happy, you'd spend same $200 for a nice shower head and valve anyway.

All the extra sprays are nice but after playing with them at first we only really use regular shower and hand shower. Oh there are also no water restricts of any kind so the pressure is very nice.

That thing is hideous looking. This is the one I have http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Ocean-Aluminum-SPA392M-Multi-functional/dp/B005Q4WAXA/ref=zg_bs_6810472011_3/187-8335381-9321505. Has digital water temperature and many other functions. There are similar models that are even cheaper than this one.

u/enigk · 2 pointsr/mildlyinteresting

Sorry for crap link, but I just had one of these installed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00306F51K.

Digital display shows water temp so I can make sure I'm not going to boil one of my children. Cheaper than the one in op's pic as well

u/yensid7 · 1 pointr/DIY

It would be similar to the multihead ones you see that have body sprayers, so you should be able to pull it off from a pressure perspective.

I don't think I've seen one with two heads that point down like that, though.

I installed a Feather River door as a pocket door. Works perfectly:

Used the Johnson Hardware kit:

Listen to your better half. She's a smart girl. Rain shower head is a great thing. What prevents the drip is your shower valve. Get a decent one, and you should not have much to deal with.

The handhelds are nice. Had you thought about a shower panel? 10,000 to choose from, starting at around $100 or so. Here is one candidate:

Screw it, go all out.

Ok, more realistically, try this. Nice long hose and adjustable shower head are great for puppies.

Finally, I actually DO own a rubber ducky! He hangs out in my bathroom

Not at all, it just made me laugh. I recently put one of these in during my bathroom remodel and it works great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005Q4WAXA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_t.-oDbG8AZEBH

Amazon has some really interesting shower systems. Here is one style for example. Interested in how they really perform.

The Splash Shower Spa might be a tad easier to install based on the dimensions here...

https://secure.img1-fg.wfcdn.com/docresources/9932/6/68888.pdf

And the install instructions for the Fresca are here...

Based on what I see here, tile would have to come off and you would have to move pipe. So if that's in your wheelhouse, yeah.

Otherwise you'll want to look up a "retrofit shower panel". Something like this...
