Fill the indentations first with Micro Mask until it's level with the rest of the body.

Lay down three pieces of tape - a skinny one in the middle, and two wide ones on the outside of the stripes.

Spray the stripes if possible (make sure to mask off or bag the rest of the body). You'll get much cleaner edges and the stripes won't look thick.

Use 3M vinyl or Tamiya masking tape, and be sure to burnish the shit out of the edges. All it takes is a microscopic lift in the edge for the paint to be sucked under the tape.

Remove the tape before the paint dries, but after it tacks up. Less than 30 minutes for lacquer, less than an hour for enamels.

They can be masked off pretty easily with several products that are out there in the scale modeling world.

Microscale Industries has Micro Mask.

This stuff is a water based masking compound that you lay over the clear parts like paint, let it dry, paint the other parts, then peel off and go to town on the clear bits.

I have one boy that is always a little itchy and this helps him. All 4 being itchy seems odd though did you switch laundry soaps or cage cleaners?

Man! No ones on this thread. Would love to hear other people's opinions and thoughts as well. I'll throw out mine in the mean time.

I haven't really gotten around to researching daily supplements yet (i think because I'm a believer of nutrients coming straight from the food source), I've done a little research about Taurine but that's about it so far. If you mean emergency situation sickness stuff, I've been slowly building a first aid kit for our ferrets. Inside I have ProBiotics, FerretRx, and Ferret Lax. I've used all of these with great success. The Probiotic helps with some tummy upsets when switching food and minor illness. The Ferret Rx was a great help when a cold spread through out the home and even to the ferrets and the ferret lax is something I feel should be a requirement to ferret house holds. Defiantly helped durring shedding season.

Also, Liam and Jasper are looking adorable in that pic. ❤

My legs are done with loofah + Soap mixed 50/50 volume with pumice then waxed with an epilator. the soap/pumice scrub exfoliates and removes all dead skin and opens pores. the epilator keeps a razor off my legs. this isn't for everyone, and i dare say it hurts a bit the first month or so, but totally worth it in the long run. besides all this, if you like having your legs clean and shaven, just keep the rest of your body hair to a minimum as much as you have time/opportunity to and shaved legs don't even register to people when you're pretty hairless otherwise. and if by chance someone asks me about my hairless self i just tell them that i think body hair is disgusting and i remove as much as can for cleanliness

It's actually very simple. Paint your flat coat. Let dry completely, at least a day. Cover with a clear coat. I use future floor po

Buy some micromask (https://www.amazon.com/Microscale-Industries-MI-7-Micro-Mask/dp/B0006O028U), and put some on a sponge. Next get the excess of the sponge, similar to dry brushing. You want minimal fluid on there. Sponge the mask on. Let dry for 10-20 minutes, then spray the top color over the top. Let it dry for about 20 minutes, then remove the masking fluid with a piece of masking tape.

paint it on, allow to dry for several hours, trim excess with an exacto blade, wash it off with water if you make a mistake, peel off when done...

usually i consider chinchilla bathing sand the most hammy specific sand

there is also chinchilla bathing dust (see https://www.amazon.com/Kaytee-Chinchilla-Dust-2-5-Lbs/dp/B001OVBCPG) ... that in fact is much much more dusty and not good for hamsters

but really the katee bath sand IF its produced the same way that the Kaytee bathing sand is europe, then its totally fine and safe

I just want to second what u/xanaxiss mentioned. It starts with the food. I feed my pair Wysong and put this in their water daily. You can't smell them unless you pick them up and hold them 6" from your face.

And if you drizzle this stuff on their food they will eat anything. Sawdust. Broken glass. Doesn't matter. Ferret crack right there.

Oh, and don't try to clean the ferret. They just make more oil the more you bathe them. Put a ton of bedding in their cage. At least a few different kinds of hammock. I also throw in a wadded up blanket or two. (Go buy fleece fabric remnants at a fabric store. Super cheap.) They rub the oil from their coat off onto the bedding and they stay clean. Wash the bedding at least once a week on hot with bleach, add vinegar to the rinse water like fabric softener. Bathe no more than once a month with a ferret specific shampoo. In between you can hit them with a freshening spray if desired.
