The magnetic therapy version is more expensive.

Here’s a direct link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077NNNSMF/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_fKZPDb779G1MD

When I ordered mine last year they offered silver, black, magnetic silver & magnetic black.
I bought a regular silver & a regular black version, I don’t care much for the magnetic therapy but it seems they’ve dropped the regular silver option, so if you prefer the silver finish then it looks like you’re going to have to take the more expensive magnetic silver version.
Aesthetically they look the same, the only difference is that the magnetic version has magnets built in, but they aren’t visible when it’s on your wrist.

Before you order from this link make sure that you’ve selected the correct watch size and band finish.

I use a bumper case for my Apple Watch Series 4 44m, and although I hate to use a case to hide the amazing look of the watch itself, the case helps so much when I accidentally hit my watch on surfaces and areas where it could possibly damage the watch.

Here’s the case I use. There’s really no need to put a screen protector due to the case proving a raised bump:

This is the newer version of the one I got back in 2017. I had issues with the platinum band from bestbuy. It was really cheap, flimsy, and broke on me while I was taking it off in TSA. Plus resizing was a nightmare. This one is a great alternative. It’s not PERFECT but it’s well worth the price. It’s a tad off from the aluminum black casing, and can scratch over time. But as tough as I am with mine it’s held up extremely well for ~$20. Plus resizing the band is extremely easy.

SupCase Rugged Protective Case for Apple Watch 4 / Watch 5 [44mm], with Strap Bands for Apple Watch Series 4 2018 / Series 5 2019 [Unicorn Beetle Pro] (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HC9RM8N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EkP2DbWEEN5QA is the case. I do have a screen protector stuck on the screen as well. I’m a contractor in the Middle East and most guys with the Apple Watch have the same setup and they hold up very well here

u/PhotonRAndD · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

Yes! Definitely read the User Guide !

Also... my klutzy self recommends you get AppleCare, and then double down and get some kind of protective case. I am using this one and so far (over a month later), it’s working well, looking good, and has been well worth the money.

u/mrwcs · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I think you’re looking for a case, not a strap. I have this one that I use on the rare occasion that I do something where I might damage my watch.

Caseology case
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076YSDBBH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.XzrAb4FWJEE2

Some people like the Spigen cases but I think they’re too big and ugly.

Edit: I don’t think you’re gonna find any cases that don’t leave the back exposed. That would block the heart rate sensor. And catalyst might be the only case that doesn’t leave the crown exposed too. Most people don’t want those 2 things to be covered.

u/gg06civicsi · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Ok I would then suggest something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KVRXRBZ which will protect it against falls and bumps.

My experience with the clear tpu cases is that it gets annoying when water gets in between the case and glass. It also yellows and collects scratches over time. Also the touch response sometimes gets messed up pissing you off.

u/dmetzcher · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Those were the two companies I thought of as well.

Caseology has a nice one (Vault Series) that doesn't overpower the watch's look as much as most of the others I've seen. I bought one for the odd time when I might need a case for an activity, but I've only put it on once to test it out. I looked at Spigen's cases (they make a few) as well because I've liked their simple iPhone cases for years now.

I have this one: Julk [2-Pack] Case for Apple Watch Series 4 Screen Protector 44mm, 2018 New iWatch Overall Protective Case TPU HD Clear Ultra-Thin Cover for Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HQRP3JR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_rkOkDbKA58K4G

I definitely changes the look of the watch, but I’ll take it for the protection it offers. Some people hate the idea of using a watch case; I equate to a phone case. Some people use them; some don’t.

u/obnxs15 · 2 pointsr/Garmin

I bought this one a while back and I'm pretty happy with it. It's not perfect, but I like that the cord is long and I don't have to lay the watch on its side to charge.

Just as an FYI, I bought three of the QIENGO/QIFIT sport loop bands that have been on Amazon for a while. The black/pinkish weave (their wording) did indeed have the gap, but the Seashell and the Black/Red I bought did not. Seems like it's pretty much a crap shoot. They're all very comfortable, tho!

u/baroldgene · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I wouldn’t wast time with the sticker. I would recommend something though. You bang your watch on stuff more than you realize, especially if you use it as a fitness tracker.

I recently got one of these and so far I’m pretty pleased: Apple watch series 3 case 42mm, IOVECT iwatch 3 Case TPU All-around 0.3mm Ultra-thin Soft High Transparency Full Cover for New Apple Watch Series 3(2107)

I also have a couple from this seller:

https://www.amazon.com/QIENGO-Fastener-Adjustable-Closure-Replacement/dp/B077T9375N/

I have bought two from the one above and both were okay, though the width of the band was a bit narrower.

I also bought two from the first link I had and had to send one back as the stitching was not lined up. $13 a pop, and relatively easy returns vs $50 for Apple's.

I have the LK Screen Protector with Spigen Rugged Armor Pro (case and band model) for a month now:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HMJ84CZ

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HSSDV4S

The screen protector looks and feels fine. Of course not using any would look and feel better, but you have to make some compromises for protection.Tempered glass should be better of course but I don't know if it will be compatible with the case.

The best part is, it seems this particular screen protector is indeed case friendly and there is no interference whatsoever between the case and the protector and hopefully, it stays the same down the road.

It's one I designed with Watchmaker, Tasker, SharpTools (SmartThings integration with Tasker), and a few other Tasker Addons. It also pulls information via the DarkSky dev API (weather) and Google API (location) via Tasker, takes it all in, turns them into Watchmaker variables, sends them to Watchmaker and then the watch.

It is definitely not a upload and go watchface.

Here is the band: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MDSGXL I love NATO bands, even though this one is only "Nato Style". I have thought about getting a real NATO band, and cutting a hole in it but I doubt it will allow the HR sensor to function.

I bought these 2 as well:

My default band used to be my Nike clone band in blue + white. I have a brown leather band with is handsome. I do have a silver S4 that is covered up by the bumper, but due to the wear and tear it’s getting it’s probably a good idea to leave it on. The silver looks awesome on any band.

Watch bands are easy to make cheaply. This is good and bad. For example, pretty much all of the cheap Milanese style bands are crap: the weave frays (if it isn't frayed out of the box) and snag clothing and the magnets often get stuck on, well, any ferrous metals around. Bracelet style bands are often decent, however, as are leather and synthetic bands. Read the reviews carefully, particularly the 1, 2, and 3- star reviews for more objective reviews. I've found that 1 and 5 star reviews are the least likely to be objective whereas 2-4 stars tend to go into more detail and be less... emotionally-charged.

The S3 Frontier and Galaxy Watch use the same, standard watch band size of 22mm, and are roughly the same size and shape, so a band that works for one should work for the other. Note that bands don't have to specifically support smart watches, much less a Samsung watch specifically. Other than potentially the shape around the bezel (if applicable), the only thing that matters for compatibility is that it's 22mm. That said, Samsung watch bands have an easy-to-slide mechanism for installation and removal that many traditional watches do not, so it's handy when a band includes that.

There are many options for this. I bought this band when I bought the steel GW and it's worked out fine. Note that the band does not meet the bezel; it ends at the link point. At the time, bands that wrapped around the curve of the bezel were sold out, and for $17 with Prime shipping I didn't care that much. Since then, however, many new bands have come out and I'll probably order something like this sometime soon.

One last item of note: the tools that ship with any of these cheaper bands are utter crap. If you want to replace links and/or plan to use more than one band, it might be worthwhile to invest in a decent watch link tool. They're cheap but usually decent. Again, read the reviews to be sure.

u/krazydavid · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I’ve rocked one similar for months now. It’s done a great job at protecting the watch considering how much stuff I do with my hands.
This is my first AW, but most watches on me usually get pretty chewed up pretty quick.
I use this case along with a Skinomi screen protector.

I have this setup and with an extra stick on screen protector it’s really good:

The stick on screen protectors are cheap and easy to install. Check out any amazon reviews and you’ll be set. I’ve never had a bad one and owned an Apple Watch since series 0

Awesome. Thanks. After looking at Amazon I think I'm going to get https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HQ41NYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-IcSDbXS7WPTY and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074MDSGXL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nKcSDbZ940D51 which are both 22mm which I believe should work. I am tempted to get a 18mm band but I think it'll be way too small.

I was wondering if that was part of the problem.

I bought some of these adapters from Amazon so I could use a regular style watch band from some of the watches I already owned. It lets you use almost any regular watch band. You could probably find and use children’s size bands pretty easily then.

u/PinkPower4Life · 0 pointsr/AppleWatch

I use a clear, soft TPU bumper and a Skinomi screen protector. I have been happy with my bumper and separate screen protector. It provides some protection for the watch while letting its natural appearance show. I have not noticed yellowing yet of the clear bumper, but I have only had it a couple of months. I have the s3 gold. Carefully put on, I managed to get it on without the screen cover coming up. Let the Skinomi screen cover set overnight. After I put it on, I would check on it, and press the screen cover around the edges as it dried.

Some say that condensation may build up under the full cover TPU, and sometimes the touch screen may not work as well. However, it may provide a little more cushion.

For a more rugged look, one may want to consider a Spiegen Rugged Armour https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Armor-Designed-Apple/dp/B07HSSDV4S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541351469&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+apple+watch+4 . I have one in pink. The pink just cheapens the look. As much as I like pink, I think black would look much better with a black strap, and create a rugged look when needed. However, it is hard to get the case on without messing up the corners of the screen protector.

I swim with it multiple times a week and it has held up. IMO, most of the bad reviews are from people that don't know how to put them on correctly.

u/zoomfokus · -1 pointsr/AppleWatch

There is the Sinn dual system:
Sinn watch strap
However you need to get two to get Apple connectors for both watches. Or buy pin connectors for one side since one Sinn strap costs like 200$.

Or maybe shorten two sport loops and hide the stitches with the overlap.

Why don’t you get a dual-sim iPhone instead?
