Sound Alarm for Pets.

I was having trouble with my dogs getting on surfaces when we were home but not supervising as well as we should have been. These are an affordable option to try if it's happening when crating isn't an ideal option. It just sets off a high pitched alarm so not only does it deter the dog from getting on the surface, it will alert you when they attempt to get on the surface. Now I don't even have to have the dang thing turned on, the dogs see the mat and know to stay off. I bought one for all my couches and my friend uses them in place of dog/baby gates to block off certain rooms.

my brother tried two this - taking car floor mats and putting them upside down so the plastic spiky part are on top, dog wouldn't like the sharp prickles. Or you could try the pads that make a loud beeping noise when touched - https://www.amazon.com/SONIC-REPELLENT-STAY-DOGS-CATS/dp/B004K9SIQU/ref=pd_sim_199_7?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B004K9SIQU&pd_rd_r=f61420aa-75f1-4bc3-ad71-4fc38326cff3&pd_rd_w=fNs2o&pd_rd_wg=z5ht7&pf_rd_p=5c130f77-a5ef-4ffd-9db1-c29a354f52f9&pf_rd_r=HN585ADGVVEF83ACQEVK&psc=1&refRID=HN585ADGVVEF83ACQEVK

I use suits from Hurtta. They’re pricey as heck, but they are absolutely 150% worth it, and they last too.

I have the Sun & Bug Blocker for hot days and she’s barely breaking into a pant in it at even +30 (though we don’t stay out long when it’s that hot), and it protects her against sunburn and ticks as well — it’s almost a thin tent like fabric that has a slight stretch to it.

Here’s the link to look it up (sorry it’s a Canadian link but Amazon.com would also have it): Sun & Bug Blocker

And for winter I use the Hurtta Body Warmer and Recovery suit. It’s got a reflective inside that redirects their body heat back to them, it’s soft and somewhat stretchy and both suits are very adjustable. When it gets cold you’ll still have to top it off with a coat just for good measure, but it keeps her warm all winter long.

They’re absolutely worth their price, but you’ve definitely got to measure your dog well because despite their adjustability, you don’t want a suit that comes up to short or too long at the tail and the legs. I got it right the first try but I made the decision for a snugger fit by trading off the leg length, which works because she doesn’t mind wearing socks and booties :-)
