neverflat last a long ass time but can feel weird and rubbery after a while. My favorite is the street ball. Cheap and holds grip for a long time. You can also get the wave which has lines dug into it and long lasting grip.

u/soxandpatriots1 · 7 pointsr/Basketball

If you're prioritizing price and durability, the Spalding NBA Street ball is a decent choice: https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-NBA-Street-Basketball-Official/dp/B0009VELG4/ref=sr_1_4?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1537646004&sr=1-4&keywords=outdoor+basketball

It's only like $15. It's rubber, so it's definitely gonna feel "cheaper" than a nice indoor-only ball, but it's made to be played outside and shouldn't get messed up from snow and ice. Should also be fairly easy to grip even if it gets somewhat wet.

Another option is an indoor/outdoor basketball like this: https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-NBA-Indoor-Outdoor-Basketball/dp/B000A7OUE0

About $30, and will feel more similar to an indoor game ball, if that's important to you. I suspect that ball gets a little more slippery when wet.

Myron Copes Official Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GCUFQP6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_obfZAb5V1BFSG

You could also search Ebay for “penguins towels” or something similar and you’ll get some results of the Penguins towels they gave out during last year’s playoffs

some basketballs pick up dust more than others. You'll have to find one that works for you. Personally I use a Striker Dri-Tec indoor/outdoor ball and think it works GREAT.

RE: dribbling - you're just gonna have to put the time and effort into dribbling practice. No "shortcut" to this one. Practice stationary dribbling while keeping your eyes up/focused on the rim. here is a dribbling training video

As you get more comfortable, move into dribbling on the go while keeping your eyes up/on the rim. That will eventually lead to cuts/drives/ etc and "skill dribbling."

you could buy "court vision" goggles to assist you in your drills, but IMO you're better to just save your money (but in case you're interested, they're here.

Alternately, you can make your own if you want to put the effort into it. video here

always start close by the hoop to work on your form once you enter the park, shooting at the hashmarks around the FT line helped me gain more consistency and I instantly felt more confident shooting long range, i continue to do this once I get to the park. once you do that, shoot a lot of mid-range jumpers then start at the corner or straightaway for threes. just remember to always start real close to the hoop once you enter the park or gym. I also needed an adjustment period when I went from inside to outside, it could be a mental thing. I also always end my sessions with 3-5 straight free throw makes and that always helped me.

for a ball, i've always liked this one https://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Parent-63-249-parent-NBA-Street-Basketball-x/dp/B0009VELG4?th=1 but i know some people don't. It's generally good and has lasted me about a year and a half so far, I might get another one because the one I have now is starting to lose grip.

I invested in a samsonite hard case.

It was pretty expensive but has great reviews and should last me a long time.

It's this one.

As you can see from this picture, there is plenty of room at the top to pack clothes as well. I put all my clothes in here and had room to spare.

I was not charged an over-sized bag fee by American but did make sure it was under 50lbs. before I left.

My friend who went with me got the Plano case, and if not for the TSA lock and belt he wrapped around it, his clubs would have been strewn across the tarmac. I don;t suggest getting that one.

Hope this helps.

It really depends on the quality of ball you're looking for. These might be similar to the ones you're talking about, but they are terrible quality. The exterior of the ball is plastic, while a real baseball is made from leather. In soccer terms, it's similar to a glider replica instead of an official match ball.

If you're looking to buy baseballs, it'll be rare to find a place online selling a single baseball. This is an individual Major League baseball, but they're kind of pricey. It's up to you on what kind of baseball you're looking for.

I have the SKLZ swing trainer in 48 inches. /u/niv85 hit the nail on the head when talking about helping smooth out swings and improve tempo.

One thing that I like to use it as is a great warm up tool if I'm pressed for time before starting a round or if the course doesn't have a range (believe it or not, this happens). If you can swing it at least a few times a week for 10 minutes it will help you stay loose and flexible.

This is the best one I could find: http://i.imgur.com/Ts970NE.png
It has a logo on it unfortunately, but the colors are correct. It's a mini ball (6 inches), but I think it's bigger than the one in the episode.

Yes and I'm livid when I get to the rink and forget the sleeves. It sucks playing without them.

I've got embarrassingly skinny legs, so the bulk helps my knee pads stay in place - but really the extra padding is great for landing. I get much less bruising after (I know I need new knee pads).

I use something like this but not that brand. I ended up with something cheaper in funky colors because it reduced the cost even more... They have a silicon (or something) like strip on the top and bottom elastic that helps them stay in place on my skin. And not just height wise, it kept them rotated the way I want to favor the inside of my knees.

I tried volleyball knee pads. I wish they worked better because they have excellent padding, but didn't find any that had a similar elastic, so they kept shifting out of position, rotating and dropping, on my chicken legs. Though, I'm sure if you spent more you could find a quality pair.

I bought this off amazon and it’s worked well for me. Good grip and bounce. Haven’t used it daily or continuously for very long periods of time so can’t say much on durability 🤷‍♂️

u/literal-lol · 2 pointsr/nba

$400 and it's yours! :D

Edit: Found a cheaper one here.

u/JSurri96 · 2 pointsr/golf

Maybe some kind of training aid? I got myself SKLZ Gold Flex swing trainer, I find it real good for warmup and timing stuff, I got mine for £48 but that was in a sale, maybe you could look to see if somewhere has it a little cheaper?

If you can’t find one; maybe something like a putting mirror; or chipping net? .. I don’t know what you think, just an idea

u/MondoHawkins · 2 pointsr/hockeyplayers

I've seen basketball dribbling glasses recommended. They're designed to limit your ability to see down.

Same with the Indians no?

I have the McDavid ones. So far so good, they're fairly comfortable but I cant comment on longevity as I've only been using them for a few weeks. I popped my knee cap and it's enough padding to for rolling. On sale right now at Amazon, grab em!

How about this golf ball wine stopper? I got one for my 'father in law' and it's his favorite! You could also get him these Houston Texans golf balls and tees! and still be under $30 :) Good luck!

Hope I'm not too late but I found some golf stuff in your price range that your dad may like. This tee set or maybe this one or this ball set. This marker set is nice for when hes playing or maybe these covers, this golf shirt, or this organizer. If you want to spend a little bit more theres always this putting mat for his house. This wallet isn't golf related but I bought my SO a hockey related one for Christmas and its really nice. Hope I could help! If I win I'm dying for these pans

Here's $18.25 for 12. That's nowhere near $15 per ball.

I think you and I are probably talking about $15 for a bunch of balls versus the original comment of $15 per ball.
Edit: so I was thinking if your normal everyday baseball, not MLB ball

heres my dog album

I have two pitbulls, had a third till she got sick and had to be put down :( and an australian shephard who is strong enough to pull both my pits around when they play tug of war. i know exactly what toys last the longest.

This ball is by far their favorite and lasts until we lose them. your dog will rip off the feet, the horns and the squeeker but the ball part will last forever!

Other pit owners claim this will last forever it took my dogs less than a minute to rip it open and rip out the stuffing. however, the outside has lasted a very long time! so if you dont mind it being split open it should last.

if i see a garage sale or go to a thrift store ill pick up a basket ball the dogs pop it immediately and it gets ripped apart but the majority of it has lasted a long time

if you go grocery shopping they have beef bones im pretty sure that what their called. but they not only feed your dog but the bones last a long time too.

if i win, the tick twister would be great since i live in the woods and its tick season.

NFL Houston Texans golf balls and tees set, Jeff Bagwell Houston Astros hologram card, The Spicy Food Lover's Bible book, and a card. I recommended that card because it's not intimate, and I would use it for my own estranged dad. That's about $29 before tax. :)

u/TrendingSUP · 1 pointr/Homeplate

yeah, you can usually find some good deals on EBAY for decent balls that are cheaper than the shit OLB3s even.

But I found this on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Rawlings-Official-Recreational-Baseballs-MENOLB3BAG12/dp/B0000CA8WW/ref=sr_1_19_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1521723141&sr=8-19-spons&keywords=blem+baseballs&psc=1

probably can't beat this barring some sort of sale/steal on EBAY or AMAZON (a few months ago I found a dozen new MSBL balls on Amazon for 18 bucks shipped).

u/funkyb · 1 pointr/hockeyplayers

15-20 might be stretching it. My daughter turned 2 this winter but I didn't put her in skates yet because the attention span just isn't there - even if she did ask about it a lot. Instead I found a mini hockey set for $10 used on Amazon and she plays that out in the driveway sometimes. We'll get into skating next year.

Hi, I found blue and red spot foam mini soccer type ball at Amazon (USA). Whether or not the colors are close enough you will have to judge. It's 6" diameter. See it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QSJ89AU/ref=twister_B00YCIZ3LC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

what about the Indians ball?

u/SuperAwesomeBrah · 1 pointr/nba
u/dragontamer5788 · 0 pointsr/factorio

Erm, no. x4. As in, each player pays $70 for a Saturday tee-time, for a total of $280 for a morning tee time foursome.

Granted, that's country-club rates (which also include a yearly fee). I've seen higher end clubs do $150 per player. Yes, a $600 tee time. So $70/player is high-end (but not an outrageous price). A cheaper outing might be $30 per person ($120 for the foursome) for a Twilight / late afternoon outing. Then a good Golf Ball costs ~$4 each, a set of Golf Clubs is easily $500+.

Its called a rich-man's sport for a reason. The key to playing the game without breaking the bank is to find less popular locations and focus on twilight rates for maybe $20 for a bit of late-afternoon practice during the weekdays.
