For a glass pipe you want a "glass pipe screen". You can use metal ones but I would advise against them.

I got a burl one at a pipe shop a long time ago, you could probably find one of those easily online, I have also seen glass versions but I've also never seen one of those last more than a year before breaking due to being so comically long and chinese

Personally I ALWAYS use a metal screen. Here's a link to the ones I bought 3 years ago: Amazon
But...I take some of these bad boys right here and push it through the center, then drop them into the hole of the pipe. (Some bending may be required) This will ensure you never lose the screen when you blow out the ash. I personally believe that every hit is 10X as smooth with a metal filter, and eliminates the worry of sucking too hard and pulling ash into my mouth/bong.


Now, 10 other people below me are probably going to say "Screens are worthless, you don't 'need' a screen" and they're perfectly right.
But I enjoy to smoke my way, and them, their way.
My recommendation is to try it both ways and you decide.

I would call these a "wind cap" as most people think of these when you say "pipe screen."

Those are glass "jack" or "flower" screens for a (weed) pipe or bong slide. Better than metal screens, more easily cleaned and clog less. The silicone container is usually used to store cannabis concentrates.

Sorry but it is Anodized Aluminum. There is no buffing to be done, you will only wear down the coating. Depending on the color you may have some luck with a sharpie and a steady hand.

For jars, I’d say go with some small mason jars. Pretty much any glass jar with a tight lid will work. Lots of headshops carry specific ones too.

For a full case/bag, this is what I’m currently using. Seems to do the trick really well, I’ve asked a bunch of people to smell and also been around non-smokers and no one has smelt anything. It’ll easily hold all the stuff you need.

To give a sense of the size, I have my Solo 2, charger, Vapcap M, 2 lighters, a stir tool, 3 stems (in their carrying tubes) for the Solo, a water piece (it’s super small, 4.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide) along with its bowl, and a WPA for the Solo. Also keep 2 grinders and a few strains of weed in there. The jar it comes with is pretty nice (keep a strain in there) and the rest of the weed I keep in original containers or the smellproof bags they have/I had previously. If I played with the arrangement more, I could likely stash a few more things in there.

Don't go overboard. Just buy a $10-20 spoon pipe, a nice grinder(this and this are both good ones in different styles), and an eighth of some good weed. Don't go overboard immediately. If you want a bong just get it off DHgate or bongoutlet.ca (most of the bongs you'll find in headshops are the same exact pieces for 500% more). If you want to get a vape the Arizer solo is amazing for $120 and the MFLB is decent for $80. Since it's a legal state there's really no reason to bother with joints unless you really like them. Any papers / grinders / rollers you can get on amazon really cheaply.

All stuff I got from Amazon. The beard and wig came together (also came with stick on eyebrows, but they weren't very comfortable or visible so I didn't wear them), and the hat, robe, and satchel were also a package deal. Then I got some kind of bling necklace, the dollar signs multi-ring, and shutter shades which were advertised as "glow in the dark" though the glow only last about 5 minutes even though I put them under a bright light all day. I also got a long sherlock pipe that was very nice, totally legitimate (IE could actually be smoked from, though I didn't actually use it) and came in a nice storage box with felt or something inside, and was only $20.

All told, I probably spent about a hundred bucks on the costume. Just summed the current prices, $115.06 including shipping for the things that weren't available with Prime. I think that's a few dollars more than what I paid, some of the prices have fluctuated.

The beard and wig were pretty good quality IMO. The beard didn't stick on, but instead had a couple of straps that go around the back of your head and are covered by the wig. The wig was pretty thick and full of hair and looked very nice. Drinking was kind of bitch with the beard on; I drank out of bottles with moderate success if I was careful, but had to use a straw with anything from an open glass. After a while I started pulling the beard down so the mustache was below my mouth, to make it easier to drink.

The robe was nothing fancy, but looked good and wasn't too expensive. The color definitely isn't genuine but the beard/hair made the Gandalf part obvious to anyone who knew who Gandalf was. The hat and satchel were both made of very cheap thin foam, and the strap on the bag isn't adjustable I found it hung too low to be convenient. The hat also easily slid off of the wig, I had to use a few safety pins to attach it to the wig. LPT: Don't stab yourself in the skull with safety pins.

Both pieces of costume jewelry -- the necklace and the rings -- were cheap plastic. I probably could have gotten better quality stuff for a similar price, or gotten the same crap for cheaper if I tried, but it did the job. The necklace didn't have a clasp, you just slide it over your head, and it was a pretty tight squeeze. Definitely impossible to put it on or take it off without removing the wig, and someone with a particularly large head might not be able to put it on at all.

Some people "got" the costume better than others as was expected. Most people at least knew Gandalf, but I got some confused looks when I tried to explain the Cray part. A group of people took to calling me Wiz, I think as a combination of wizard and Wiz Khalifa. I really enjoyed the costume and I definitely want to use it again, especially since it was the most expensive one I've ever had. It was a lot of fun to put together and the general reaction was pretty positive, so I'd recommend it to someone who wants to put only small/moderate amount of effort for a pretty cool costume.

I believe they're called glass filters. They look like 4-5 tiny little glass beads joined together in a floral formation. They're designed to be used with the snap bong bowls that are practically tubes where your weed will just fall through. My thought is that if you put one in a regular bowl, it will just take up some space and work like normal.

Also, they're cheap as hell. I'll see if I can find some online.

I've traveled from central Europe to UK and back a couple times with my pax in my checked bag. It's comletely fine if it's cleaned properly.
As to the case; I cannot tell you because I haven't got one, but I carry mine in a bag that comes with the Koss Porta Pro headphones. It's probably not completely smell proof but it does a decent job and I haven't noticed any significant smell leaks.
But if you want to be 100% sure about the smell, you might wanna check this one out.

The screens are great at keeping your piece really clean, especially if you have a bong or bubbler. I started using screens when my piece broke like your gf's did, but I use them now in every piece I own.

It's an all natural cleaner, best I've ever used. After you've used a screen for a couple days and it gets gunky, just toss it in a shot glass with this cleaner. After a week or two, after you've gone through ~10-15 screens, dump the cleaner back into the bottle (it's reusable, like 20x or more reusable) and the screens are clean as when you bought them. It works on pipes, too. Just pour it in at night, and dump it out the next morning, and you piece will be perfectly clean. It's a little expensive, but like I said, it's reusable. I'm a heavy smoker, and I've been using the same bottle for almost a year now.

I put my Pax 2 into this case and then toss it into a carbon bag. The case only leaks a small bit of smell when you're within ~1 foot of it, and nothing leaks out of the bag.

I dont know if im the only one that feels no issue. I use a combination of two things.

I've been smoking cigars for the past 8 months. I wanted to try pipes to change up my rotation. I have a few questions:

1. Bought a corn cob pipe from Amazon since it was one of the cheapest I found with good reviews. Is this good enough to start off with? I also got a pipe tool and pipe cleaners as they were frequently bought together.
   
   
2. Local shop sold me a pouch of Captain black gold. He said it was mild and non flavored. I don't really like infused/flavored cigars, but I smoked a few to start since that's what people always recommend. I learned quickly that staright tobacco flavor is what I enjoy. Any other recommendations coming from someone smoking medium bodied cigars?
   
   
3. How do I store pipe tobacco? Do they need to be properly humidified like cigars? Is it okay to keep them in the pouch they came in?
   
   
4. I watched a few videos on how to light it. It looks pretty straight forward. Similar to cigars, you don't want to draw too fast and too frequently as to not heat it up too much and nuke the flavors. Do you puff every minute or so like cigars to keep them lit? Or does it depend on how you pack it? If I have to put down the pipe for say a few hours, is it still good to relight? For cigars, you can cut off the ash and expose fresh tobacco and relight it as usual.
   
   
5. What's the smoke time typically? Any issues with packing halfway for shorter smokes, like for lunch breaks or when it's really cold outside?

Pro tip: Use a small metal poker (I use the one on my pipe tool) to press the middle of the screen into the whole at the bottom of your bowl/slide/ect. It will perfectly contour to the shape of whatever your putting it in unless you're using one of those weird slides that are squared off on the bottom. Happy smoking!

I use these. They're better than the flat circular ones in my opinion. They don't break apart and they're not poky. Its super easy to clean your piece if you use these, and they're really easy to clean at the same time as your piece in alcohol + salt. I found them because Amazon has a lot of pipes made out of rocks which are actually cheap / cool. Sturdy too, and I drop things a lot. I even saw a smoke shop nearby selling the same pieces for $40 haha.

I use the older rimless screens right now but I do have a bunch of different screens from things like my lil bud, tubo and ebay. I've used them all and theres really not much difference between the rimless vs rimmed screens, stuff like inner stem diameter matters way more, I do have some half circle screens that are kinda weird. You can find similar mesh for pipes. If you know of a shop where they sell tobacco/pipes they’ll probably have little mesh filters. (Prevents ash from coming through the pipe to the smokers mouth) They’re mesh circles the size of a dime or nickle. You usually get a bunch for just a dollar or two - you can layer them till you get the desired effect!

I use a RAW hydrostone, soak in water for 5 minutes then place it in your tobacco & it gives you a moist & pleasant tobacco... I prefer JPS Silver because it's the mildest tobacco for me.

You can make your own, there are instructions online. But they are very cheap to buy, and last quite a while.

I used to work in the tobacco industry and a $5 corn cob pipe smokes better than a $300 wooden pipe.

It's got a metal bowl (i've heard some don't like that), and some of the reviews mentioned leakage where the stem attaches. As of yet I have had no problems with it and it's very enjoyable to smoke out of.
