How about this one? Vitacost Vitamin E & Tocotrienol Complex -- 60 Liquid Vegetarian Capsules https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065BJ2AW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Fia6BbNZBR495

What I use is a mix of refractionated coconut oil, vitamin E oil (you can get it at the dollar store mad cheap), and a couple of drops of other stuff to make it smell nice for the ladies (I don't remember what, but I think grapefruit oil, lemon balm oil, and tea tree oil mighta been it...whatever, that's based on your own tastes anyway). About two parts coconut to 1 part vitamin E, and three drops of less of the other stuff for a 2 oz bottle. I mixed it up like six months ago and there's more than half left so...It goes a while.

I didn't buy all the essential oils, that shit's expensive. A hippie friend spared a few drops for me.

u/antherese · 5 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

It actually might be. The only other product that's come close to producing this amount of 'grits' was this Vitamin E oil.

I track my intake on cronometer so it's nice that I've been able to look what vitamins/minerals I don't get enough of... my current focus is trying to save my hair so here's my current regimin:

1st thing in the morning 1/2 a tablet of this Iron w/ vitamin C with a full glass of water. I don't eat or drink anything else until at least an hour later.

With breakfast: this multivitamin. I've found it to be the most complete in terms of what I'm usually deficit in. Its one of the only multis that I found with a good amount of zinc.

Glucosamine for my joints.

And an omega 3. I choose this one because it has a good ratio of EPA to DHA.

With lunch: another multivitamin (the serving size is 3 capsules, so I spread them throughout the day because i feel like that would be better for absorption,

vitamin E

15g collagen

With dinner: The last multivitamin, another glucosamine tablet, and another omega.

I also make sure I eat dark leafy greens each day, pay attention to my calcium, and spend time in the sunshine. Otherwise I would supplement vit k, vit d, and calcium

And all that adds 107 calories to my intake. Which is sad, but worth it.

A lot of users are saying those are cold sores. Abreva could help but I know of better stuff you can use long term.

I have gotten cold sores for years and only when I started taking bht did they go away permanently. I used to take this BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene) 250mg, 500 capsules https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002KCC9LY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OH5RDbQN8E9BN until I started buying my supplements in bulk.

BHT has cured me. I used to get cold sores not just on my lips, but on my chin and in my nose too!

Two other products that can significantly help are taking lysine and a zinc supplement. My favorite zinc supplement comes from Bluebonnet Nutrition. Zinc is best taken with food. Zinc gluconate in my opinion works a lot better than zinc citrate.

Going back to abreva, it used to work for me but then the cold sores I had adapted and the $20 tiny tube never worked again. If you've never used abreva then there's a high chance it'll work for you.

Cold sores have a tendency to recur in the same place and can spread. Make sure to sterilize or replace products that have touched the sores. Do not scratch them because the clear fluid that will ooze out will make it spread. You need the cold sores to dry out while healing-putting a band aid on it or Vaseline won't help.

So I would get the abreva, start taking zinc and/or BHT, and wait for everything to heal. I've had cold sores since I was little and I've tried everything prescription and non-prescription. BHT and zinc are the only two things to prevent and heal cold sores. PM if you want more info.

Vitamin E found in the vitamin aisle, here's an example:

Bio oil is not better!
If you don’t want soybean oil then you are better off buying the liquid vitamin E oil like this, or you can buy capsules especially made for the face like these.

u/covercash · 2 pointsr/CrohnsDisease

I used the capsule and pin technique growing up when I’d scrape my knee, but it’s so much easier with the bottle of oil. And I use it on my beard in the winter to keep it from getting dry.

This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0061GINBA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XoZvCbSJFJKRB

u/Scoutbaybee · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Vitamin E lotion, you can generally buy this at any drug store. It it really thick and kinda oily, but it generally heals my sunburns overnight.

u/kat_fud · 2 pointsr/AskDoctorSmeeee

Lysine keeps me practically cold sore free as well. For your relative who suffers from shingles, you might try Butylated Hydroxytoluene. It's a food preservative that apparently helps against lipid-coated viruses (which also includes the virus that causes cold sores). It's not 'natural', but if it works, it works.

I know this response is horribly late (and I'm still not sure what typical reddit etiquette is regarding old threads). But here is my (more or less) full list of items I buy from Amazon Japan.

The rules here for what goes on my list: 1. Only keto, diet, or supplement related items. 2. Only items I've bought at least twice, and which I plan on buying again in the future:

Yeah sure, but before taking anything concern your family doctor or dermatologist first. Because every hair is different, sometimes its just your diet or something else.

I have androgenic alopecia (heredity) that's why it works for me.

Update: did some more research, saw palmetto with beta sitosterol and basil extract work wonders for hair folicles, increase the hair growth and strengthen the folicles

I used whatever Trader Joe's was selling about 2 years back. This one on Amazon seems like a good one, great reviews for treating dryness and scarring.

u/XxGoodnEvil17xX · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

It's a unit of measure. Basically this stuff is a lot thicker and goopier than you'd find at a store which is more liquidy. This to me makes it better at healing the eczema since it sticks better and is thicker so more to be absorbed.

Here's the link

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001R5G59C/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1407132695&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

u/nsy9865 · 1 pointr/Psoriasis

I personally would steer clear from biologics. I have taken enbrel and did not like it what so ever. I also have taken Otezla (not a biologic) which cleared up all my psoriasis, but gave me depression so I stopped taking it. Immunosuppressants cause long term damage that can fry your insides.

I'd highly recommend seeing a GI specialist. Do not see a dermatologist (all they do is prescribe biologics without addressing underlying causes). The psoriasis you have has to do with inflamation in your gut. Diet/lifestyle changes are truly the only way to get rid of this. Trust me i've battled my plaque psoriasis since I was in 2nd grade all over my body, and nothing has helped like my current SIBO protocol prescribed by a chiropractor that focuses on nutrition.

On a side note, I like to put Vitamin E oil on my skin, I think it's the best for treating dry skin. My skin stays moist for hours on this stuff

This is the vendor I use: https://www.amazon.com/Healthy-Origins-SupraBio-Tocotrienols-Softgels/dp/B004KU5R5O

but there are some others that have licensed the tocomin SupraBio blend.

u/wiseblueberry · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I feel like it does help with fading/preventing scars. If I get a cut or have a nasty blemish that leaves a mark, as soon as the skin has closed, I begin treating daily with vitamin e before I put on my night cream. I use this kind. But if the capsules are what you have around, it's essentially the same thing. I have heard of people using it on their hair too, but I've got no experience with that.

u/linkpemonade · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I use this and it works for me. It's a bit sticky but I use it in the evening and it soaks into the skin nicely.

u/somethinghelpful · 1 pointr/glutenfree

I strongly recommend buying a bottle of Glutenzyme. This stuff has saved me several times now! Works best if you take it before a meal, but I've been successful taking it 20-30min after and reducing my symptoms. If not working or driving then I suggest these pills and a few shots of vodka / tequila, seems to do the trick for me. As others have said water does help.

u/ifknluvsquirrels · 0 pointsr/fakecartridges

Just checked and you're right. Even worse is they still sell "e-liquid" Vitamin E https://www.amazon.com/Now-Vitamin-600-Liquid-4-Ounce/dp/B000MGR1IQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=liquid+nicotine&qid=1569577325&sr=8-4

We are in the fucking twilight zone

u/GiddyGamer · -1 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Daily:
splash my face with cold water

Morning wash my face with Garnier Cleanser followed by Toner, Renewal Serum, then I massage my face & massage in moisturizer, followed by some (mostly for the smell) aftershave, and I massage my hairline with Vitamin E Oil, & after it feels like my face has absorbed it, i usually start applying sun protection for eyes and then the rest of my face & neck, exposed skin (arms, legs, etc) protection and hands

while at night, i take a shower (usually after a bit of exercise) and cleanse my face with cleanser lotion and my with a good body wash and follow later on (usually before i go to sleep) with another facial cleansing using the Garnier pure essentials & then some night cream

and I usually repeat this routine daily with the exceptions that I don't put the sun protection on when I won't be going outside in the day-time and I usually skip it all one day out of every week to let my skin rest

Non-daily:
On top of that, I usually try to shave facial hair every few days. I start by putting a hot rag over my face, then I use a cotton ball to rub on baby oil

and I exfoliate once a week (my body & my face) using a good facial exfoliating scrub that's either L'Oreal or the Body Shop and I use the same scrubber from the L'Oreal one for both
and scub my body with one of three scrubs using exfoliating gloves

after exfoliating my face, I usually follow with a moisturizing mask (using Honey, Fresh Lemon Juice, and Whole Wheat Flour) & I usually try to do it on the beginning of the week (Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday) so I can follow 3 days later with another one. If on Sunday, then I follow on Wednesday with a non-homemade mask and I try to follow at the end of the week (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday) with a 2nd homemade mask (Using caramel, baking soda, an egg yolk, whole milk, and 100% cocoa powder)

then, I usually moisturize my face and my body. I also try to moisturize my body at least once a week (sometimes more) by taking a bath using 2-cups of milk, fresh lemon juice (1/2 - 1 whole lemon), sometimes some honey, and specially formulated bubble bath.

I try to mix this with a relatively regular exercise schedule (cardio around 5 days a week (I'm researching different weigh-lifting regimens & Yoga & Calisthenics to add to this)) & a balanced diet (alot of fiber, fruit (daily), lots of water, vegetables when I can (salads, veggie sandwhiches when I can (I might start drinking a daily V8 for more)), White & Green Tea daily, limited sweets (usually just a nutrigrain when I do))

So, if you've actually read to this point I salute you. My question is if there's anything generally wrong with this routine (other than price & the fact that it shows my level of OCD)
