95p (+£2.95 shipping) over budget which is fairly considerably on a tenner but for the beauty of this you can't help justify it.

A5 Canvas Phil Mitchelll Wall Clock has been on my wish list for a while.

And before anyone leaves dissapointed

Yes Pat Butcher is also available.

Here's one. linky

Though that'd look the absolute dog's bollocks up next to this beauty on my living room wall.

u/Madplato · 28 pointsr/changemyview

Well, yes? There's 12 points, each of which is used twice in a day. The watch is a support for the system, not the other way around. The watch is the same in both places, despite the whole country running on 24 hour time. It just looks like this.

Go the extra step, you can buy them on amazon here. It’s worth looking just for the reviews.

u/Aaronf989 · 16 pointsr/pics

There is someone who posted another link for these, but they are still 350+. I think that is ridiculous. It shouldnt cost that much for a clock
Edit: 65 dollars

u/arthurardvark1 · 16 pointsr/funny

I not really sure. My aunt it it for her off amazon.
Edit- found it

u/TrialAndAaron · 10 pointsr/DesignPorn

You don't have to stand close enough to see the links. The numbers are the visual marker! This isn't meant to give a perfect to the minute time. Just like those word clocks aren't meant to be. No one would say "Oh that would be better if it had every possible time on it" because that's not the point of it. This clock gives you a rough time frame and is more or less a piece of functional art. No one should be using this to give you the ability to tell time within 10 minutes.

u/Zippy0723 · 9 pointsr/changemyview

As another user above stated, I don't really see the issue with having clocks like this

u/TrucksAndCigars · 8 pointsr/NoStupidQuestions

Sure we do.
Also because that's the way the shadow of a sundial turns

u/Inspirasion · 8 pointsr/mildlyinfuriating

Mine is the same except black and plastic instead of wood.

I just scrolled down to the reviews and it seems others have similar problems after like a year or two? I got mine in 2009, so I guess it's lasted (it only started doing this maybe a month or two ago. Yeah I thought it would fix itself at some point overnight, but it hasn't...).

I bought an atomic clock so I would never have to set the time again. Just change the batteries. Having it read the wrong time all the time ಠ_ಠ

Here is an inexpensive imitation on amazon (the much higher quality original is $350 - $1000 depending on size, this is $60 for 8"x8")

Is this the altimeteor you have? If so, it has something to do with the Coriolis effect.

Do you want them to be all the same? One time I made a world time display with all my spare cheap clocks (at a certain point you can get so many that you either have to put some away, or display them together somehow!) but I agree that having them all the same is rather more classy.

It's unfortunate IKEA doesn't make the SKARP anymore, which had a flat glass lens. Walmart used to sell this clock which had a flat glass lens. Target has similar ones. Muji has some nice clean clocks but they're not particularly cheap.

I recommend you get clocks without a second hand, or remove the second hand if it comes with one – it will make the ticking quieter (less load on the mechanism), and you won't get annoyed when the clocks inevitably fall out of sync. Or you could avoid the sync problem by getting vintage electric clocks (which will stay in sync because they get their timing from the power company), or radio-controlled clocks (but these are pricey and limited in the zones they can display).

Hope that's of some help!

I own one and love it. My friend's daughter (she's 3) thinks it's the cat's pajamas and loves to stare at it.

They are $50 on Amazon for the full sized ones.

Yeah they are. It's this one

I made a word clock to.

u/RyanTheCynic · 1 pointr/NoStupidQuestions

Anticlockwise clocks do exist.

They only really exist as a novelty. Clockwise is just conventional and therefore most widely used. Standardising the direction makes it easier to read at a glance.

I don't think it has the special birthday feature, but you can buy these and other variants from the market:

u/CrimsonMonster · 1 pointr/DIY

Um... did you look into this clock at all? (If you did I can see why you would like making a more customized version.)

I have a clock just like this. I love it, and people always comment on it when they visit.

Note, no referral token on this link, cuz I'm not a spammer. It's just the first link to the clock I could find.

The middle school math teacher in my building has a great clock with all different kinds of math problems to solve for each number on the clock. Like this one -

u/DeepCoffee · 1 pointr/Swimming

Maybe this is an option. A red second hand, waterproof, and, judging from the pic of it hanging from a shower head, it's a decent size.

u/paperhawks · 1 pointr/math

I think it's rather hard to find an ideal gift. I think the gift ideas divide into two groups: just something with math like

the remainder of which would be related to his work. A prime example of this is a fountain pen like one has mentioned here. If you can't decide, a composite of the two groups would work as well. A personal favorite of mine:

Hope this helps you index some of your ideas.

u/VannaVictorian · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

i have a few suggestions. one - two - (maybe you'd like this? three - four - five - six - seven that's something i would love! - eight - i have something maybe you and your husband might like, him and you - this or this - nine - and finally ten

and here's a few more because i'm having so much fun. and this

u/SparklyBoat · 1 pointr/CasualUK

The only thing better than this clock, are some of the reviews on amazon from people who bought it. Scroll down to the 'Customers also shopped for' section to see other examples such as Steve McFadden, Danny Devito, Dean Gaffney etc.

u/mbg1604 · 1 pointr/teaching

This is the one I have in my classroom.

Also, when I start my radicals unit, I put post-its with all radicals equal to the hour over the numbers on my "regular" clock in the room.

u/Ninjajosh · 1 pointr/AskReddit

You need a backwards clock.
Fun clock with the ability to show who has any sense.
I've had people be able to read it normally and I've seen a girl start screaming when she saw it. Always fun to talk about though.

u/insert_expletive · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I've decided to go back to school as well! I don't think I'll be able to till spring semester, but I wanna go back to physical therapy =) I screwed up pretty bad right out of high school on the college thing. I'm hoping I do a lot better now that I've grown up some... flabbergasted!
wishlist item, $17.sumthin with shipping and stuff

u/GreatCatch · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Has extra wide slots, good brand, nice look.

Practical $15 item to match your kitchen:

If you like coffee, this is cool: or this is pretty:

I would like anything marked Highest priority (like the emu oil, but I might cave in and buy myself some), but others are good too :)

u/neverlandishome · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This is the tricked out version of the toaster I currently own and love. It's on sale at Amazon for $54 which is out of your price range I know, but it's a good deal:

I think the classic black kit kat wall clock is an awesome kitchen decoration:

Thank you for the contest - if I win, I like to be surprised!

What about these

u/TrollznLolz · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Woo free money!

u/pixelationnation · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon
  1. I recommend this toaster from personal experience but unfortunately it's $60. :/ My mom has this toaster and swears by it, and it's only $40 though!

  2. As for stuff to hang... Ive got a lot of ideas because Ive been looking for me too!!! i love really interesting pieces like this and this. these are really cheap and popular around here (i think theyd be super adorable on the fridge!) I had chalkboard in my old office/kitchen and I loved it. This is kind of silly but Ive always wanted one, haha. You'll probably need a clock, too.

...sorry if i put too many. I love looking at this stuff. If thats cheating, feel free to only count the first haha

  3. Hard to pick an item without knowing price range! Haha
u/LikeTotesObvi · 0 pointsr/Showerthoughts

It's "fall back" so no, don't set your clock forward. Or be a smart guy and buy a clock that automatically syncs with the atomic clock network.
