I can't even tell what Logitech controllers you are talking about. I can't find any from the last two generations.

It treated me well when I used it on my OG Xbox and it was wireless, but again this was like 15 years ago?

Despite that, I currently use a Logitech G700s mouse and Logitech G810 keyboard and they are treating me much better than the Razer devices I owned previously.

Your best bet is to do all of this through a computer, and then you can stream to the PS3. If you install software on the computer like Tversity you can set up the PS3 to play content on the computer. The PS3 will connect to Tversity as a media server, and play content on your TV. You can follow the instructions above, but disregard the XBMC stuff and just set up media libraries in Tversity. These will show on the PS3 and you just find them and play them.

The pro version of Tversity is sold based on the honor system, so you can use it for free until you decide that you can no longer deal with the guilt and pay for a license.

Another option is PlayOn. I haven't used it, but have heard good things.

Both services will have some limitations as far as playback goes, so you'll need to be patient with it. You might get files that will not play on the PS3.

However, XBMC plays everything. Since I have a home theater pc connected to my TV with XBMC installed, I don't have any trouble. You can also mod an old Xbox and install XBMC on it, and get a similar effect. A used Xbox will easily run less than $100, and this article can show you how to mod it. A little more advanced, but works great. And you can play Xbox games, and run emulators to play NES, SNES, Genesis, etc games as well. Well worth a $100 and an afternoon of work.

This is another option to get an actual PC on your TV. For $200 you can streamline the whole process, keep some files locally, and won't have to worry about streaming (although you might need to add an external drive for storing media). I HIGHLY recommend considering a modded Xbox or a HTPC. I've used a HTPC, Xbox, Xbox360, PS3, Wii, O!Play, WDTV Live and Popcorn Hour. Nothing compares to having a HTPC. The others work, but not as easily.

I also have mine paired with a Windows Home Server, and have terabytes of media I can play anywhere there's a TV. But that's a whole other thing.

This is one version and that is around the time it was out. What did the controller look like? Did it have dual joysticks? Did it have 4 face buttons, dpad, and trigger buttons?
