Then it'll fall to whether or not Bethesda/other companies are willing to offer refunds based on the advertising photos vs advertising wording. I did notice that the Amazon listing still says canvas bag.
If they refuse to accept/offer refunds for customers receiving items differently than the printed material, then I could see lawsuits popping up.

too play with friends online he will need xbox live gold subscription. but he prolly already has one on 360. Dragon age inquisition is the best rpg, but there is a free one called neverwinter releasing at the end of the month.

shawdow of mordor is also like assassin creed but it is Lord of the rings. so if he like lords of the rings pick this up its very good.

take the xbox out and install all the updates for him, that way he can play it right away. depending on the speed of your internet it can take a day to install a digital game, like the assassins creed that comes with the bundle. come back here and I will walk you through it.

Nah, in the original listing it was listed as a 'Canvas Bag'. After the original OP complained they changed it on the official website to be a 'nylon bag' while on the other retailers (Like this Amazon one) it clearly states 'Canvas Bag'.

I personally feel that the PS4 has a better selection of games overall, but if you're ready to try an Xbox, there are some worthy reasons to do so. The console also has support for HBO Now, while the PS4 does not. You can buy the Xbox One S next month, which is a revised version of the console, but it costs $400. There are cheaper versions coming (less storage) but not until December. You you can get a bundle with the regular version now.
The user's expectations are in the picture itself. It literally says "canvas bag" underneath the bag in the actual advertisement. They used the term to describe the material the bag was made out of. It wasn't implied, the user absolutely had the expectation of a canvas bag. If they gave a much smaller bag that was still made of canvas, I could see Bethesda using that argument. But they didn't.

So I remember hearing about Amazon having a video game sale and went checking around. Obviously Watch Dogs is being advertised on the main page, but after doing some research it appears that some other games are discounted too. Maybe these are on sale all the time now but I figured it wouldn't hurt to list them anyways...
I've listed those which are more than a $0.04 discount. Keep in mind, some of the games are last year's "model" (i.e. Madden, FIFA) so those will most likely remain at a discounted price.
There appears to be other games on sale as well, but if they were around or above the $50, I didn't bother listing them. Let me know if you find any others or have any more info on the Amazon sale. I play the game almost daily, I think it's fun. The movement mechanics and weapons have a satisfying learning curve.

Competitive warmup is your go-to if you're on PC and want to play with a party greater than you and one other member. You can queue 5 people. We're getting ranked crossplay in the coming months.

Unless you host private matches and want to play on a dedicated server or solo queue developer playlist, no. The season pass is terrible value. If you want to play dev list (play new maps early with 2x XP and 20% cr boost) then I reccomend you find someone who has the season pass to host the lobby. You can queue up and play the new maps without having to own the $50 paperweight.

The game should be free to play with a $40-50 season pass that provides extra XP and CR payouts. As it stands, the season pass is basically a ripoff. If you're playing a 10man private match, find someone with season pass and have them host to select maps that are outside of the defaults.
$80 is highway fucking robbery for this game. The cost/benefit model in comparison to other games on PC. $30 is a good maximum to buy this game.
Servers run at 60/30 tick, meaning your client sends 60 updates/sec and server sends 30 updates/sec, which is baffling to me. If you play CS GO and know that 64 tick is fucking awful in comparison to 128tick, you're in for a good time on this 60/30 cheapo bullshit.

My original statement was "They'll try to pull you in with a discounted base game and then kidnap your wallet with season passes and micro transactions." which basically said that this type of $10 off discount would try to create early adopters that will later get to pay upfront for a game and then have to pay later for its dlc. The base game of Destiny dropped to $25, then $15 and now $5 to get people into it and then have them purchase newer editions. If there were no newer editions they would have to buy each dlc/expansion for a more fuller experience. If they launched at a cheap $25 or $30 it would be a larger base audience that may buy into it; however $10 off is not launching cheap when it has a history with the first game.

I never said bundled old content is the same as a season pass. Destiny basically made a Game of The Year (GOTY) edition with Destiny: The Taken King which included all the previously bundled old content and then AGAIN in Destiny: The Collection when Rise of Iron was released.

Seeing how the Destiny Collection was discounted at $30 only 2 months after release when the dlc/expansion was listed at $30 it seemed like a cash grab.

TF is really great, but there seems to be much more to do in bf4. If you need something to hold you til october i'd go with that. Although. Major Nelson tweeted about some bf4 discount for 27$. If you check out discounts (TF sells digital on ebay for much less than 60$) - I'm guessing you can get both for around 60, or buy bf4 now and save up for tf later. the prices will just keep on dropping.
edit: just saw titanfall is 33% cheaper on deals with gold this week, so if you get bf4 for 27 and tf digital for 40 you've got 2 games for 67.

For anyone curious, the game is a 117GB download on PC and it is an absolutely fantastic port. Possibly the best console port ever.

Yup, hardware availability is an issue. That said, there are standalone guitars and usb mics available on Amazon and folks can download the Rivals bundle digitally. Drums are a bit harder to find but lots of people have found good deals on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or local thrift shops. Don't forget that a ton of legacy Rock Band hardware works with Rock Band Rivals (see rockband.com/compatibility).
It's not ideal, but it's still possible for new players to get in to Rock Band.
The Origins edition is $60 on all systems, but you have the option to purchase for $40 on PC where you don't have that option on consoles

Honestly, the mp is the most important part of this game, so I can't see a disparity of this size existing unless people think the mp is at least as good as TF1's.

If people believed TF2 had a better SP (since it has one) but a worse MP I can't see the reviews for TF2 being better this consistently.

If I like it, I'll be torn between the likely digital sale of $29.99 or getting my local Best Buy to price match Amazon's current physical price of $24.99.
Sure! It's not perfect, but it's a pretty fun game. I had a lot of small gripes with it; mainly that it has a lot of "wait here and kill enemies while someone else does a thing"-type missions, and that combat doesn't really have much punch to it, but the colorful world and excellent art direction makes up for any of the game's minor flaws, IMO.
I'd say if you can pick it up for $20 or less (and you can), then you should definitely give it a shot.

Try Best Buy if you don't have Prime/Don't want to wait, they usually do price matching with these deals. I bought Legacy Edition for $50 from Best Buy when it was on sale on Amazon back in December.
As for my opinion on the game, It's an okay game if you're looking for a traditional "Futuristic Shooter". I happen to be of Titanfall origin so these shooters are the norm for me. Though I haven't played Bo3 back when it was relevant, I can say that IW is pretty good. I loved AW with the variants, and this game brings them back in a mild form, however, after they added the 600+ new DLC content into supply drops, I almost quit the game seeing that I had less of a chance to get the variant I want.
As for MWR, my only experience with "Boots on the ground" is CSGO; my favorite game as of now. It didn't give me the nostalgia like others say it has, rather it gave me a slower, war-like game. I don't play it often but sniping is definitely fun.
All-in-all, this price is probably the lowest it has ever been. Definitely give it a try if you have an open mind.

Hope I can help ya out here. Lucky guy to have his gf want to get him games. Not many of us are that lucky :P. Mine is back and forth hah.
Anyways, while I can't think of anything out right now that would be worth it, your best bet might be to look at games coming out in the next month(s). I'm just giving you Amazon links. Not sure what your preference may be.
If he's a big Madden fan, this might be your choice. Madden 25. It's the 25th anniversary of the franchise, so I'm sure it will be packed with content. The one I linked is the special edition of the game, but here's a link to other versions. It will be coming out later to the XB1, I'm assuming before January. Doubt he'd want to wait that long.
Additionally, there are a few games that will be coming out in the next couple of months that everyone (really, everyone) is excited for. Grand Theft Auto V, and Watch Dogs (game is coming out for XBox 360, and XB1).
Granted this game comes out next year, but if he's a Halo fan - he's probably going to want Destiny. So, that might be one to consider for next year. If he doesn't get it before then ;).

My fiance is so amazing, he works so hard, seriously. He works full time as an engineer and then also goes to school full time at Purdue. I couldn't more grateful that this person loves me so much.
I actually won him an XboxOne for Christmas from a radio raffle that took place in our city. He doesn't own any games for it yet, he bought Ryse but completed it in one day and resold it to the store.
He loves mech games like Armored Core. So I know he will love this. Honestly i'd save this for Father's Day for him.

Quite a bit, steam users outnumber online xbox 360 users and that doesn't count MMO's, MOBA's and offline games from GOG. Even if they don't know how to build a pC there's the option to buy over priced pre built systems or a laptop.

The Xbox One version of the "Ghost Edition" isn't available to access for some reason. For the past few hours it hasn't even been showing up. It has now got a thumbnail and a "page" for it. I don't think so. They have a "long term exclusive partnership" but they never said the game itself was "exclusive". Sony and Microsoft have been really tricky with their words to trick people into thinking things are exclusive. Except the background would be that horrible green color they have chosen for everything. Seriously, who the hell chose that color? The Xbox 360's light lime green color was far more appealing, when paired with both white and black. The new color is just 160/255 pure green, and the one seen in the new official Microsoft Logo, is 185 Green, with 127 red, so its much lighter and far less "gross"... "Pure colors" basically almost always look horrible in design, on their own, and even when paired with other colors. At least the old bright green translucent cases actually went well with most colors used in game covers. A different color is seen in the two next gen Ubisoft games, and if they have any idea what they are doing (they don't), they would go with that color instead of the one seen on all of the other game covers as well as their promotional material.

This is precisely why I haven't bought an xbox one, and why I probably won't be buying an xbox one.
If I want to play Halo: Reach with a friend today it will cost me about $130 if I started from scratch, and that includes buying the console, game, and an extra controller. No xbox live required.
It's the only game I own and have over 25 days of matchmaking. Yes you should it's $20 here on amazon brand new, you can't beat that. The arena maybe tough at first but you'll get it, just know it's competitive in ranked. I wouldn't recommend warzone, although I haven't played it since they nerfed the fireteams from 12 to 6. Warzone firefight is a fun casual experience you can play with your feet up. If you don't play the campaign you want miss much story wish but I had fun playing it. The custom games are great with friends, and action sac brings those custom games to matchmaking which is fun too.

This article says that the DLC will be exclusive, but I don't think he has his facts straight. The timed content is exclusive until next fall, but there isn't anything definitive about the DLC.
However, it seems pretty strange that you can get the expansion pass when you buy the Limited or Ghost editions on amazon, but you can't just buy the expansion pass. You can buy just the expansion pass on PS3/PS4.
Try something stupid like Sunset Overdrive. It's absurdly cheap and it's the kind of game you can just throw in and mess around with for a while. I picked it up a couple weeks back and haven't played it yet but Insomniac is pretty good and my friend said he enjoyed it.

Your best bet is probably to find a discounted TTK Legendary Edition to go with your code, since I believe you can't play it without TTK and you definitely can't without the base game. Here's one I found for only $26.

I just got the 500 gig model with Gears of War. I picked up Halo 5 from Target today for $45 and ordered Destiny the Taken King off of Amazon for like $31. I got Black Ops 3 around a week ago for $30 when the Microsoft store ran it on sale, but GameStop has it for $40 right now. They also have Batman Arkham Knight for $20 and it comes with a pretty cool action figure for free.

I would personally recommend the official XB1 RB4 Stratocaster made by Mad Catz.
It has full driver support, and the proprietary microsoft XB1 dongle has less lag than any bluetooth adapter does with the PS4 tars.

You can buy digital codes for Microsoft's store from third parties, how is this any different or less closed than buying Steam codes from third parties? Requiring Steam to use Steamworks is. If they are able to convince developers to use Steamworks (which is easy since they're dominant) then they win. Which is exactly what happened with these two CoD games.

I think Paypal is region locked to US and maybe some other countries, but I don't have a list of them. Just use a regular CC, if possible and it should be fine.

For RoI I think there is a disk version see link below. I would echo what other people have said RoI and TTK has a good amount of content. inFAMOUS: Second Son just surpassed Titanfall (Xbox One) in Amazon's March Bestseller List
I think this is pretty interesting considering the difference in marketing budgets between the two games and the fact that PS4 and Xbox One are pretty close in sales in the US. inFAMOUS: Second Son is turning out to be a bigger seller than anyone expected.
Still, it's pretty much a given that Titanfall (Xbox One) still outsold inFAMOUS: Second Son thanks to the bundles that basically gave Titanfall for free and in some places was even discounted by $50. That brings the question as to why didn't Sony bundled inFAMOUS in the US just like they did in Europe, specially with the PS4 still selling so much, that would have boosted the sales of the game significantly.
