So unless you're really near South Mountain that type of stuff won't work well, or reliably.

What you probably want is either:
A) An outdoor antenna and hook it into your internal COAX port for the right TV.
B) An indoor antenna pointed towards South Mountain with a clear line of site if possible.

What I did was hooked it up to the window in my daughters room since she doesn't have a TV, etc. Then hooked that COAX port to the one I have my PLEX DVR hooked into and that works for me.
