Your plant looks pretty good actually! It is not uncommon for the leaves and flowers to need to be removed. They are heartier plants than most people realize. I left my mini African violets in the care of my dad for 2 months. When I got them back they were totally dried out and lost most of their leaves. My boyfriend thought they were dead. It takes a little while to bring them back, but they are growing new leaves and looking much better.
If there are roots coming through the bottom you may want to consider repotting, but if it’s still growing you could leave it alone. Just make sure the roots don’t start to look rotten and you should be fine. If the plant becomes root bound you will want to re-pot.
Also, look into some plant food for them. There is specific food just for African violets, I use this
[orchid food]https://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Gro-Orchid-Food-8-Ounce-Fertilizer/dp/B001OELXHU. You can find organic ones as well, but this one works well. Just follow the instructions for any plant food you get. Also, check out YouTube for some great videos of Africa Violet care. I’ll try and find the ones I saw and send the link.

I use three sorts of light:

  1. at work and In my ‘quarantine’ spot I have a red/blue bendable light from amazon ($20)
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CXZT7JW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

  2. for my established adults I have them under a DIY LED strip ($40 plus stand)

  3. for my nursery I just started using a Home Depot grow light in a standard ballast. I think this is it: ($60)
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-20-Watt-4-ft-Indoor-and-Outdoor-T8-Full-Spectrum-LED-Plant-Grow-Light-T48-GROW-FS-LEDG2/309428654

You want a lower wattage for AVs. Of all my lights I think number 3 will be the best but I just started with this light. But it’s big, bulky and doesn’t look as nice. The DIY method is nice because you can put it on any stand size or shape but the lights are not super durable. Number 1 is easy, looks nice and comes with a timer but can only support a few plants.

I have two questions:
Do I really have to disbud them all? I'm just getting started so I'm not exactly at risk of contaminating a huge collection or something, and some of the flowers are really lovely.

Also, would pots like these work? I have my plants in my living room and I don't love the mini solo cups aesthetic... 😝
