Do you live in the US?

I don't, but have gotten the impression that unsecured dogs is the norm there.

Anyway, you use something like this. Or a nice crate.

I've heard somewhere that a crate is safer, but I've got no idea why. We use a crate which we've secured with the seatbelt running through it. He's very calm during rides and being left in the car alone.

You may be interested in Animals Make Us Human by Temple Grandin. She is an animal behaviorist who works to make slaughter houses and mass agriculture more humane. The book also talks about animal behavior, why they do what they do and signs of distress. It covers pets as well as agriculture and there is a chapter on zoos.

If you want to try going meatless for a few days a week, but don't know where to start, you could try one of the meal shipment services and try their vegetarian boxes. I have been a vegetarian since I was a teenager. I have a lot of great recipes but was getting bored with them so I started getting boxes to try something new. While some miss the mark, a lot of them are really good!

Also, an easy way to cut meat out for just one day a week... tacos! Just get Boca or morning star crumbles and season them as you would ground beef. Done.

Get you some "perfect push-ups" or generic versions. I got a pair for $5 from Ross Dress for Less. The swivel action is much more comfortable for me than using dumbbells or the static handles.

That collar is gross we used to have one when I was a kid and it's really not necessary. Head collars work much better.

This was my cat's favorite "bowl". It required that he stand up and lean into the water, which meant he couldn't really paw. Or at least minimized it.

My perpetually hungry chocolate lab reacted very positively to [the DogMaze](https://www.amazon.com/Buster-KR274091-Dog- Maze/dp/B005QJXSHC). She doesn't like it, but it slowed her eating down dramatically and, unlike just about every feeding toy I could find, it's made out of one solid piece of thick plastic rather than many fiddly parts that can be chewed on.

If you haven't, might be worth a try?

That is my Bertram! Catit Senses 2.0 Self Groomer

I would recommend getting additional wall stickies, it did not stay on the wall with the ones provided.

u/luceo01 · 659 pointsr/AnimalsBeingDerps

Bought one on Amazon for like $5, same model. The second I stuck it on the wall my cat was all over that bad boy for like 10min.

Edit: Link on Amazon for those wanting to buy it-

Here or I think I've seen it in Home Depot/Lowes. Wall kit sold separately.

u/GuidingFuzz · 2 pointsr/AnimalsBeingDerps

I got mine on Amazon (UK) a couple of years ago. Just checked and it's still there but cheaper now!

That seems offline familiar, we may have done the same deal and the dog mouth memory, maybe was from a book... Possibly this one: Explorabook: A Kid's Science Museum in a Book

That's understandable. My humidifer is made to be used with essential oils. I think the main difference between cool-mist diffusers and humidifers is water capacity.

I'm glad you spoke up about essential oils and cats. If they had lemon oil in that thing it could be very bad.

It’s absurd to drive without strapping in a dog. Not only is their life in danger, but so is every passenger’s in the car.

It’s a theragun, it’s used in physical therapy to relax and loosen tight stiff muscles. I consider them a godsend. Here’s an amazon link so you can check them out, if you like.

On the personal massager note, I don’t have personal experience with using it for masturbation, but I think I’d have to lean toward the don’t, no seriously it’s a bad idea side.

You're not just wrong, you're stupid.
