I really don't want to be a downer but it's really scary how quickly things can go wrong even when you take all possible precautions and know exactly what you're doing. Let's be honest with ourselves here. The statement that you've "avoiding neck-ties as much as possible" isn't true. That would mean not doing them at all. You're the one tying the knots. There is nothing forcing your hand. That's an irresponsible attempt to dodge culpability in your own thoughts and convince yourself that you're doing everything possible to make this safe.

Strangulation injuries are the most common cause of BDSM trauma and deaths by a wide margin. It doesn't matter if you only do it once in a while. Tragic mistakes aren't cumulative effects. It only takes one slip that you might not even notice.

Get the shears or you can opt for a strap cutter/hook knife/gutting hook. I like the ones with replaceable blades so you now it will cut easily and quickly without the risk of further injury. Just make sure the gap is wide to easily accept the ties or rope (if you go that path)

It's less than a movie ticket and a small price to pay for increased safety. You've been meaning to get them for a few months and unless you do it soon you'll keep putting it off. Nothing bad has happened to prove that they are necessary but by then it's far too late. I don't do knotted neck ties unless I have a cutter of some kind on my person. It's not worth the risk. Make sure that you're also practicing your knots and know which ones slip in what way. Ties are slick and more likely to slip unexpectedly that natural rope.

Don't you want your bottom to know that you're actually taking every possible step to ensure her safety? Safety (especially in regards to rope/ties) should not be treated with an 'I'll get around to it eventually' attitude.

Edit: I just want to apologize if I sound like I'm being a jerk about this. Very much not my intention. I do this for a living and teach BDSM techniques, so it's something I'm a bit passionate about.

:) You can find different types of clamps. The clover clamps will definitely hurt, at least in my experience. Also depending on what kind of nipples you have, size, shape you may find ones that are better:

Alligators with adjusters are not bad for beginners

Clover clamps more painful

Round with spikes and adjusters

They are not that expensive and you can try different types. If you are just getting used to them get ones with adjustment screws that can adjust how strong they clamp. Most importantly have fun.

This looks exactly like ours did behind the front screen. Not sure where you can get a replacement screen.

I think something about a bird having sex with a bee?

  1. totally a fine term to use, it'd be like.. a fetish for pain and degradation?
  2. It's fun to give up control, let someone else decide what happens with me
  3. It hurts, but it's like... mind numbing, you go to a weird place in your head (subspace?)
  4. I've always been into this kinda stuff (pooorn, /r/painal, etc), but only very recently started doing the things I like, because found a dude who is also into it and who's cool.
  5. I think fetishes tend to come from fears. Parents spanked you? Afraid of hurting people you like? Someone popped one too many balloons around you as a child? Fetishize it!
  6. for continued reading, this is a good book
