There are several apps you might find useful. REI's Hiking Project and Gaia GPS being two of them. Another source you might find helpful is this book Base Camp Denver.

I recently attended a presentation done by Justin Simoni on bike packing. He's done some seriously epic rides all over the state. You might want to check out his blog.

I live in the south west part of the city. Hit me up if you would like company!

It's a 2013 Motobecane Gran Premio. Steel frame with Shimano 105 parts on it. There will be some slight white scratches on the left side of the top tube.

Everything you see in the first photo was on the bike except for the camelbak bottles. This includes [a Satechi Bikemate Slim Case] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006N0T674/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), a [Cosmos bike speaker] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005WO7ECG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), an Avenir Big Mouth bag, a Mirrycle bell, a Planet Bike Super Flash, and two Topeak black plastic adjustable bottle cages.

The bike was stolen near Johnson and Wales university. I previously registered the bike and serial with the police in my hometown and I will be able to recover the serial number tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for keeping an eye out!

Someone recommended this book to me recently in the /r/MTB subreddit http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Biking-Colorados-Front-Range/dp/B005CDVFFY . I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but it may be worth the look. Also, second on BMA for Boulder. I wish Fort Collins had a similar resource.

I don't bother riding in this weather. But I've heard the way to go are lobster gloves. Lets a couple fingers share a space, keeping each other warmer (like mittens), but you can still shift and brake almost like normal.

> I’m getting ready to launch a rear bike rack pannier

That's just called a rear bike rack. A pannier is the bag that goes onto a bike rack (more or less).

> Here's a picture of it

So you're selling the Ibera Bike Rack?
