Sounds to me more like one of the biggest obstacles (if not the biggest) facing centrists: letting others define what centrism is. The quotes in the video attributed to centrists are mostly nonsense. And those 10+ people are trusted to represent the thousands of others?
But without a competing definition I could see where one might buy into them. Centrism is more along the lines of 4:30 +/- in the video. It's more about setting aside personal feelings and agenda/platforms on a subject to come up with the best workable solution for the good of the largest number of people, based on evidence, reason, collaboration, etc. There's a book on it!
