The Corsair m65 RGB is great if you only need a few programmable buttons. Simple, solid, and not horribly expensive (currently $44.99 on amazon). Love this mouse.

Edit: Like others have said though, figure out what size/type of mouse fits comfortably in your hand before choosing one

Yes, the UI will benefit as well. If you are looking for load time improvement absolutely snag an SSD.

I just snagged this guy

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-t5-500gb-external-usb-type-c-portable-solid-state-drive-alluring-blue/6026201.p?skuId=6026201

You may be able to go cheaper or smaller. The Xbox One supposedly only works with drives 256GB and up, but people have reported 250GB drives working just fine.

Your other option would be to get an internal SSD like this one

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-500GB-SSD-WDS500G2B0A/dp/B073SBZ8YH?keywords=ssd&qid=1537845235&sr=8-1-spons&ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa&psc=1

And nabbing an enclosure like this

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-2-5-inches-SATA-Drive-Enclosure/dp/B01N5RLG2C?crid=2V660C4JJT86R&keywords=2.5+hard+drive+enclosure&qid=1537845347&sprefix=2.5&sr=8-4&ref=mp_s_a_1_4

Could save you a couple bucks

iBUYPOWER Elite Slate2 080i Desktop Gaming PC - Intel i5-9400F 2.9GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, 1TB Intel 660P Nvme SSD, 8GB DDR4-2666 RAM, Wifi Included, RGB, Win 10 Home 64-bit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NSX5BPG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_467FDb61WWKA4

This is really similar to what I bought for the price and I have had 0 issues with it. I'm sure you can get a better bargain for the dollar with building it yourself this is just my suggestion.

Good luck!

The Samsung T5s have great reviews.

Seagate has a couple interesting offerings too:
Seagate Fast SSD & Seagate Game Drive for Xbox
(it appears the only difference is the enclosure/Xbox branding and 2-months Game Pass i.e. no additional optimizations etc.)

Also a neat option (what I ended up doing)... upgraded SSD in my workstation, picked up an enclosure for $15, plugged it in, win-win. Works like a charm (and it's even tax-deductible! ; )

I'd rather build one for you and sell it than letting you buy prebuilt, but if you must:

CYBERPOWERPC BattleBox Essential GMA3600A Gaming PC (AMD Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 120GB SSD, Win 10 Home) Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y8XJJ7L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XrCcAb4PDKNQT

This would be a good choice, not the most highest and beast pc, but with relatively new parts and 6GB of GDDR5 it should be a good choice.

Yes this one is fantastic and is cheaper than some 2k monitors!

Only 60hz though but it does have the 1ms you're looking for. I have multiple gaming friends with sick rigs who own this bad boy and they're all loving it.

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-U28E590D-28-Inch-LED-Lit-Freesync/dp/B00YD3DBOC/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1503258088&sr=1-4&keywords=4k+monitor

Only thing to note is that it doesn't have built in speakers.

I'm assuming you will be playing at 1080P?

If that is the case, you will have no issues at all running D2 at 60+ fps. If you tweak a few settings you could probably push fps more in the range of 80-100.

If the 8gb of memory really bothers you, you can always just buy a 16gb kit.

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2666MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0123ZC44Y

From what I read about the system you are looking at, the max speed the motherboard supports is 2666mhz.

But yeah, hope you enjoy the switch to PC. Once i jumped over, i never looked back!

I have zero experience building a PC but really want to make the switch from consoles for this game. How would this pre built deal on amazon stack up? Thanks.

u/Reiisan · 2 pointsr/DestinyTechSupport

Oh sorry - yeah so...

i7 4770k overclocked to 4.2GHz

Water cooling - runs at about 60degC full load

Asus Geforce GTX 1060 Dual Fan

250GB Samsung SSD boot/game drive

2TB Western Digital storage drive

Windows 7 Pro with all latest updates

Have tried with latest Nvidia driver, 388.0 and 388.31 (which were the two drivers listed as optimised for Destiny)

EDIT: the game has run flawlessly for me since I bought it, it's only been since the last patch i.e. Tuesday this started happening - and this happening was the only reason I tried the other drivers.

I don't think you could notice the difference between SATA and NVME. That being said, coming from Xbox One's spinning disc drive, I decided to load D2 on this NVME M.2 so I would hopefully never freeze mid air while going to see Hawthorne ever again. It has great speeds and durability.

Try picking up a ground loop isolator from amazon. I use this one and it works great Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator for Car Audio / Home Stereo System with 3.5mm Audio Cable (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019393MV2?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

u/psytrooper · 1 pointr/DestinyTechSupport

Thank you for the quick response! I will clean the fans and look into Throttle stop.

Is a cooling pad (such as this https://amazon.com/dp/B07GTH3N11/) worth looking into?

I also see on some websites that setting everything to "maximum performance" can actually cause more problems due to the heat issue. Is there a recommended solution for avoiding that, other than going to ThrottleStop undervolting?

u/HoldenAGrenade · 3 pointsr/DestinyTechSupport

This is a really good one, but if you get it make sure the USB-C cable clicks in and doesn't just slide in. Mine came with a faulty cable that didn't click and breathing on it could make the ssd lose connection from my computer.

probably an anomaly but if it happens you just need a new cable.

It may be a bias but I work with a lot of hard drives and I have NEVER had an issue with any Seagate hard drive or their peripherals. Like samsung they are also actually in the business of making hard drives and not just an enclosure company filling their sleek overpriced enclosures with whatever they can get a good deal on cough g-drive, lacie cough This Seagate Fast SSD is the same speed as the samsung T5 (540mb/s) and $5 cheaper, and there is ZERO difference from the xbox branded version. I'd go with that.

Yeh its a bummer, I would still look into getting a bigger SSD for storage vs the Toshiba drive though, Toshiba are known to not have the greatest performance, and the fact that you can find good name brand ssds far cheaper now is a plus. https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-NAND-250GB-Internal/dp/B071KGRXRG/ref=pd_di_sccai_4/146-3761874-3824349?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071KGRXRH&pd_rd_r=356ebee7-3059-4247-8179-d179f98020cc&pd_rd_w=LnfNP&pd_rd_wg=NBjYe&pf_rd_p=91969358-e80f-4d1e-9cd9-073577930a16&pf_rd_r=2C1Z1TRD661VCH8BDXY0&refRID=2C1Z1TRD661VCH8BDXY0&th=1

The 1T version of this drive is barely 100$ and I'm sure you could find others within the same price range if you preferred a different brand.
