My library has free downloadable ebooks and audiobooks from the Libby app (USA) and it was available there for free. You can also get the paperback on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Downton-Abbey-Script-Book-Season/dp/0062238310
Julian Fellows wrote a novel called Past Imperfect, which my wife and I tried to read together as a bedtime story. I couldn't get into it, so she continued on her own. She liked it. It's set in modern times, but it's about upper class folk and deals with class, so perhaps you'll like it.
This might be it-- I really enjoyed it.
How about the book that inspired Fellowes?
Below Stairs is a non fiction from the pov of a kitchen maid, if I recall.

I also think the ancient Egyptian names of the dogs is a nod to the actual Lords of Highclere Castle where the show is filmed. It is the ancestral home of the Carnarvons, The 5th Earl being the man who was the financial backer of the search and discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb.
The current Countess Carnarvon has actually written books on the real lives of her famous in-laws:
First book about 5th Earl and his wife
2nd book, about 6th Earl and his wives
I got it from Amazon!
Ken Follett's Century Trilogy (Fall of Giants, Winter of the World, Edge of Eternity) but of the 3, Fall of Giants is probably the closest in terms of time period (right around WWI)

I know from interviews that Joanne Froggatt read Keeping Their Place: Domestic Service in the Country House in preparation for her role. I haven't read it but I think it mostly consists of first-hand accounts of servants.
It's 1 hour, 34 minutes.
