To add some quotes from The Abide Guide:
>Life is short and complicated, and nobody knows what to do about it. So don't do anything about it. Just take it easy, man. Stop worrying so much whether you'll make it into the finals. Kick back with some friends and some oat soda, and whether you roll strikes or gutters, do your best to be true to yourself and others - that is to say, abide.

>Merely acting as an example of self-contentment and non-aggression has a powerfully calming influence on everyone we come in contact with. In other words, Dudeness is a highly contagious form of communicable ease. Notice how much affection the Dude generates from all those around him - he even brings a measure of comfort to human "paraquat" and known pornographers.

In other words, take it easy, man.
The book is pure fucking gold. I didn't think much of Dudeism initially, since it's a religion based on a movie of all things. But the book sold me on it. It's the religious text for our time and place.
I have been reading Don't Be a Jerk and I think you may get something out of it. Someone who studied Dogen for quite a while trying to distill the message and bring it to the audience in familiar language. It's quite good so far (I'm on the 3rd chapter). Perhaps read that and apply a dudest lens to it.
I'd be down for some more philosophizing in this sub as well. Maybe I'll try to do a weekly thread or something. I'll try to put up something tonight over a Caucasian or two.
This was the best I could find, and it's actually really comfy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B0G7OHU/
I just got a 1000 piece puzzle of a tiger face made up of tiny pictures of flowers and landscapes. It's a nice way to get buzzed and pass the time with the wife. But it's a crazy difficult puzzle! I voted for the puzzle of a town made of bread and cheese, seemed like a more relaxing time.
We're gonna take it slow and chip away at this thing. Maybe get some Legos when we're done.
Birch Beer - Ginger Beer - Ginger Al, (well, some of 'em), all not bad. Not bad at all.
But Sarsaparilla - now, that's the good stuff!
I'm more interested in his pants. Too bad they only have 3X. They have some in stock that are polyester but they don't look like they have pockets and don't look as comfy. And I think part of channeling your inner Dude is being as comfy as possible at all times.
And I just want to point out that by chance I'm drinking a white russian in my PJs right now.
