You are not ready for a girlfriend yet. You need to go back and pay attention in your biology class this time. For all those recommending tire damage, let me introduce you to my little friend, the 4-way Valve Stem Tool. You can get one in any place they sell vehicle accessories etc for a few dollars. There are different styles but the one I linked to is the easiest to keep in a pocket (mine hides amongst my keys).
Take the cap off, use the notched end to unscrew the valve about 1 turn, and replace the cap. Until they figure it out, every tire put on that rim will seem to have a slow leak.
