> Compared with controls, mice receiving the EVOO-rich diet had an amelioration of their behavioral deficits, and a significant increase in the steady state levels of synaptophysin, a protein marker of synaptic integrity. In addition, they had a significant reduction in insoluble Aβ peptide levels and deposition, lower amount of phosphorylated tau protein at specific epitopes, which were secondary to an activation of cell autophagy.

> our findings support a beneficial effect of EVOO consumption on all major features of the AD phenotype (behavioral deficits, synaptic pathology, Aβ and tau neuropathology), and demonstrate that autophagy activation is the mechanism underlying these biological actions.

I take olive in four forms daily:

depends on the olive oil. hydroxytyrosol (and total phenolic content) varies immensely depending on variety, time of harvest, growing conditions, etc. Hydroxytyrosol content is anywhere from 10 - 400 mg/kg according to this study - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4665486/

alternatively you can buy a product like this https://www.amazon.com/Hydroxytyrosol-Extreme-ProHealth-vegetarian-capsules/dp/B008CQGMVK

Those are ridiculously high dosages as far as I know. K2 goes well with D3 which I take together via drop form for bioavailability: https://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-D3-K2-Liquid-Drops/dp/B014K3H73A/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1498508986&sr=8-3&keywords=d3+k2+drops
Per 1000 UI D3, it only has 25mcg of K2 (MK-7)... With these dosages my serum vitamin D levels are right around 40ng/ml which is in the ideal range for longevity (40-50).

Edit: I take 2 drops/day with a lipid containing meal (2000 IU D3 / 50mcg K2)

I have started taking its seed powder at a dose of 400mg x2. You can find some user reviews for its products on Amazon, e.g. one by Swanson.

For a more serious effect, one may take a higher dose, surely at least up to two grams of seed powder a day, or just add its essential oil instead which is more potent. It's unfortunate that a standardized extract for thymoquinone is not available.
