Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector Glass (Full Screen Coverage), amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - Dot Matrix, Case Friendly, 3D Curved with Easy Installation Tray - 2018

I have this one. It was crazy easy to install and not bad for 12 bucks. It's definitely as low and as I would personally go, but good enough that I'm not looking for a new one anytime soon.

Attracts fingerprint smudges like crazy, but they wipe off instantly just on my t-shirt, so no big deal. I'm definitely not a fan of the dot Matrix, but this is the first time I've had a screen protector on in 2 years, so I don't know how common that is, might just be the way things are. It covers the entirety of the screen but not the entirety of the front of the phone. That's actually good for me because I've had three different cases and they've all been fine. I did turn up the touch sensitivity after putting it on and it's been flawless as far as that goes. If you're looking for something a little cheaper, even if it is just while you take your time and investigate other protectors or wait to see if something else comes out, this one is pretty good bang for your buck.

u/munkey505 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I went with this one someone posted a couple weeks before release. It was on a special of like $4, looking back, I should have bought more, haha.

But yeah, I've used all kinds of clear cases in the past and they all eventually turn yellow, some faster than others. This one is actually like the spigen clear one with the "dotted inside" so it doesn't stick to slick surfaces, so I was pleasantly surprised. For all I know the same Chinese factory produced both but one is branded with a fancy box.

I've also used the spigen neo hybrid for my S7 Edge for a long time and it was pretty good protection but a little bulkier. It turned yellow, but took a long time. I like the thin cases now, if they had a thin clear one like this where it just snaps on, I'd get it.

As for the camera part, I debated doing it also, as I liked the look without it. I figured I'd throw it on and see how it fit and figured it's just another layer of protection for the glass, so I just left it on. If that part ever peels or something, I wont be upset and I wont replace it.

u/steppinonpissclams · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I swear by this installed correctly it's a firm fit that's not going to peel on edges. Has adhesive but doesn't set up completely until overnight.
I didn't align the camera holes so I had to gently peel up and adjust. No problems. I ended up dropping my phone and they replaced it quickly. Lifetime warranty is the bonus. Nice smooth touch and I haven't seen any screen rainbow or anything at all.
Not trying to sound overly excited but this honestly has impressed me especially for the price. Even comes with an installation frame for someone who needs a little help aligning.

u/Permabad · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

If you have seen my comments in other threads, I have had a nightmare of a time trying to find tempered glass that has proper adhesive. The ones I have found are prone to splintering upon first blemish. Which, I'm glad they protected my screen, but 6 in two months is excessive. I have done my best to follow the recommendations posted here, so I'm not buying randomly. Here is what I think I'm going to try next:

And then this is the best adhesive I've found on a less expensive protector, but as I said, a nick turned into the protector cracking in half within an hour:

u/mrniel007 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I'm using this, may be a little too expensive when compared with a single screen protector but Spigen is a very high quality brand and I love their cases for Galaxy devices.

My old S7 used to have a Spigen case combined with a shatterproof (actually plastic) screen protector and it did actually protect the phone pretty well but it starts to look nasty over time, so this solution from Spigen may be your answer, it definitely was for me with my Note9.

u/fbloise · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I'm a strong advocate for DeX sort of setups. I honestly the future will be like this. Microsoft started with Continuum, which I enjoyed with Lumias 950 back then. But DeX is another level.

You can do so much with it really. I even tried playing games with a small bluetooth controller, all works superb.

My setup is a Dex station at work, connected to a HP 24" monitor.

I am using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and this adapter:
This is the one I got:

Note: Ensure you have the fast charging ac adaptor or any high power charger really, otherwise it won't work.

For the road & travel,

I got myself a HP X3 Lap Dock, sort of a dumb terminal you can plug your Note9 and use the screen and keyboard

I've been using a Spigen case that came with a screen protector and it's worked awesome. I've had it on for a month and a half and it's still bubble free, best of all, it's made for the Spigen case.

Spigen Thin Fit 360 Galaxy Note 9 Case with Exact Slim Full Protection and Tempered Glass Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector (2018) - Black

Edit: I bought it because it brought a case AND a screen protector. Still cost less than the Whitedome

u/PeighDay · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I use the Spigen thin fit 360 case

as well as the Spigen liquid air armor.

Both work great without a lot of bulk. I also really enjoy the official Samsung cases specifically the Rugged protective cover. Nice to have a kick stand when you need it.

Galaxy Note9 Rugged Protective Cover, Black

u/DGhattas · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

This thing is great. Literally the easiest screen protector application I've ever done, even with this curved screen. And however they make it where there are no bubbles, it's great.

u/bmf666 · 4 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I use the Spigen Kuel A200 magnetic mount on my phone in the car. Like the Note7 and S7 Edge I had before my Note 9, this mount is capable of supporting the phone in my car through 99% of my driving with the exception of extreme bumps WITHOUT any additional magnetic material added to the case or phone. There is enough force from the magnets to the magnetic material already in the phone to support it. The mount does come with magnetic stickers (well, I guess ferrous stickers) to improve the magnetic force, but I find them unnecessary. Also these stickers interfere with wireless charging which I use a lot.

edit - I didn't go through lots of mounts or anything so I can't say if other magnetic mounts work well enough. This one worked on the first try back with my Note7 so I never had to try any others. Also, I use very thin TPU cases which will play a role. My case is:

u/apopheniac01 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I really like the AmFilm ones. They come with a guide so perfectly aligned installation is easy, they have a warranty so they will send you one free replacement when/if it breaks, and they are inexpensive. I have had them crack a few times, but I feel like it's still cheap insurance to protect the screen.

u/Meeko6983 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I've used phones with and without screen protectors. I can say with confidence that if you do not use a screen protector you WILL get microscratches at the very least. Depends on how vigilant you are with making sure you don't drop it or letting it come in contact with surfaces or debris that can scratch it.

I've been using this screen protector since October 2018 and it has been excellent:

u/dilpreet83 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Been using this one since I got device. Pretty good so far. Screen works flawlessly and it's also case friendly.

TAURI Compatible for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector, [Alignment Frame] [Full Cover] Tempered Glass Screen Protector with Lifetime Replacement Warranty - Black

u/luke1333 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

This one isn't glass but it feels really nice and smooth like glass! Spen doesn't stick like normal plastic protectors as well and it is edge to edge

u/Wirerat · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Im loving this spigen 360 thin fit. I planned on tossing the included glass screen protector but its surprisingly good.

u/onlinedummy · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

Using an $10 amfilm tempered glass from Amazon for about 3 months now. Installing it was stupid easy, fool proof you could say, very good clarity and no bubbles or sides lifting up. Very satisfied and i highly recommend them

Screw dome glass lol.

Skinomi TechSkin [2-Pack] (Case Compatible) Clear Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Anti-Bubble HD TPU Film

Try this, it's almost like a think film of rubber coating on screen. Best screen protector ever, been using them since galaxy s6.

u/jessesewell · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I found this tempered glass one - so far it's working nicely.

I got it to fit perfectly which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I tried 2 other ones from Amazon and couldn't get them on for shit.

u/tekjester1 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

There's also the Thin Fit 360, comes with top and bottom covers, and a glass protector too. I've only had it for 24 hours, but the perfect slim case for me so far!

u/Iowa_Dave · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

This protector will satisfy both criteria. I love mine.

u/wordstrappedinmyhead · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

> The Whitestone one is $60 on Amazon but with Prime they're doing some thing where its 25% off so it's about $44.99.

That's the 2-pack you're looking at.

Here's the link to the single pack screen protector. It's $44.99 but with the 25% coupon that takes it down to $33.74 which is about the best price you're going to see.

u/underatreewithmydog · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I have this one: TORRAS Crystal Clear Galaxy Note 9 Case. It's very thin while still giving some decent drop protection. At first glance people think I don't have a case on. It has a nice grip but slips in a pocket easily.
$13 on Amazon

u/3amataparty · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Yes it does! They recommend you do it before you go to bed and let it dry overnight. There's a video on the Amazon post showing how it's installed.

u/thenerdal · 4 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I got this Spigen Liquid Air and it feels really nice, like if it's a part of the phone!

I'm looking for slimmer still though.

u/paulnptld · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I've used DeX on my Asus Zenscreen Go (MB16AP) just fine. If you want to power the setup, you'll need something like this:

That being said, the Asus screen is less than stellar. Kind of washed out, and doesn't get very bright.

I much prefer using DeX on my HP lapdock.

u/skatterflak · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Get Nova launcher ... get the paid version.. Ridiculously worth the money ..

Super cheap case..

Spigen Ultra Hybrid S Galaxy Note 9 Case with Air Cushion Technology and Magnetic Metal Kickstand for Galaxy Note 9 (2018) - Crystal Clear

u/flip11o1 · 3 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

You can try this one from spigen with a built in stand. Spigen Ultra Hybrid S Designed for Galaxy Note 9 Case (2018) - Crystal Clear

I have been using the midnight black one for the past 6 months with a dbrand wrap on the back of the phone and a Dome Glass protector. No issues, just a little slippery if anything, but it has saved my phone from my son dropping it when he's watching videos on YouTube. Price isn't bad either.

u/jmwiltjer · 7 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

The official rugged case has been by far my favorite. It's much better in person than the photos make it look.

u/thecurlyburl · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

As a fellow case addict -

Not enough links in this thread!

I have the Spigen Crystal Clear one and I'm liking it:

u/morbid_bean · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

This one right here - its actually quite small profile for what I expected. I love this case.

u/ASchway · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I don't have either cases, but I use this and I've been quite pleased with it. Kickstand works great, wireless charger still connects and I've used the S Pen with the screen protector and had no problems. Also it's only $20.00.

u/Liveordie2424 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Using the armor suit screen protector for the note 9. I really like it.

ArmorSuit Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector [Case Friendly] MilitaryShield Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film

u/malcalypse · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I had good success with these. Doesn't last forever, but they're cheap enough and the don't leave those terrible pen indents all over the screen.

I like my AMAVO case (AMOVO Case for Galaxy Note 9 {}. Black only. Leather is durable, lasted six months. S-Pen works fine. I carry 4 credit cards in one pocket and it scretched, cards began falling out. I just bought a replacement.

u/awyissmfbreadcrumb · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

ArmorSuit Screen Protector

Bought this one last December. Still on my phone and still looks amazing. It's a film type screen protector so it's not as strong as tempered glass but definitely keeps scratches off. Fits almost any case since its it's only a fraction of a millimeter. Ive already switched out 3 cases and havent had a single problem. It comes with lubricant so once you spray the screen you can adjust the film while it's on the screen. And the lubricant easily allows you to squeeze out bubbles. The only problem I encountered was that the edges wouldn't stay down but I was able to get them down while the lubricant was drying.

Looks nearly invisible and creates 0 problems with touch sensitivity and S pen. I still have the second film it came with and I havent had to use it at all. 5/5 stars in my opinion.

u/bkelly · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I really enjoy the Samsung military grade case. Kickstand is nice and I like the feel. It's a tad heavy on the phone but I don't mind.

I use a Spigen case

It has a kickstand which gives two different viewing angles. Dont think i would be happy with a different case

u/MetalMamaRocks · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I really like this one. It probably won't protect the screen from drops but it protects it from scratches.

u/sf49ers65 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Skinomi!!!! Lifetime warranty. I screwed up installing on both protectors. (Comes 2 in a pack!) Took a picture of the used screens and they sent me 2 more to try again!! Great company!

u/eternallylearning · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I am thinking about getting a magnetically detachable leather wallet case to replace my daily wallet. I've seen a lot of people mentioning they might be getting the Amovo case which does look interesting, but the leather quality looks really cheap to me. Has anyone gotten the higher end Burkley wallet cases? If so, what's your experience with them; specifically what do you think about drop protection on just the case and how does it fit in your front pocket with the wallet?

What is this hype about this 5x expensive protector anyway? Is it because it has this bulky box that makes it look premium? I got [this] ( and have no issues at all. It even comes with a plastic guide that makes installation a breeze. The sweet part is it was on sale for $8 when I got it.

u/JarethOrozco · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I've been using the LK Screen Protector and it works just fine. The only issues that I have is that the glass covers the front camera making it not so sharp. I don't usually don't take selfies so it doesn't bother me at all.

u/catchingzeez · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

This is the one I use. No yellowing yet, but I've only had it for a little over a month. Not sure how long it normally takes for clear cases to start yellowing.

u/ghison · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

i use these. although you have to change them fairly regularly. the curved edges of the screen tend to make the corners vulnerable to cracks. they are pretty cheap and ive had my note 9 for about 7 pr 8 months and im probably going to change it out for the 3rd time fairly soon. the cracks seem to develop at the very top and bottom of the screen.

they arent great but id rather have a cheap screen protector get scratched or cracked than my actual scree.

u/similar_observation · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I have the same issue near the home button. This screen protector is just about a month old.

Now, I've heard some folks claim that the protector is not glass. This is not the case. I've actually cut myself trying to remove an old cracked protector. I can confirm very much that it is glass and a laminate component to absorb damage like a car's front windshield.

I guess I can keep dumping $10 for replacements as long as they'll replace it. If not, I kept the jigs and can use Chinese knockoffs. I also have a decent UV lamp, which does a better job than the 30 second timer on the provided lamp. BTW, you can buy the components individually on ebay and aliexpress. So it doesn't math out correctly why this kit should cost $50-60 per set.

Lets do the math in retail prices:

u/L_E_O · 3 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

You can get 1440p (WQHD) with the official dex station and hubs, and after a ton of trial and error, I finally found a third-party USB C hub that also gives me WQHD.

To the original question, I haven't noticed a big difference between BT vs a wireless Logitech keyboard/mouse dongle plugged into the dock. I'm mostly doing productivity and browser based stuff, and both work very well for that.

u/MACKLeTACKLe · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Referring to good cases, I'd recommend this Spigen Tough Armor Case with a kickstand. The kickstand is much better than attaching a popsocket, and the case is fairly slim for how protective it is. Even if you drop your phone and it doesn't crack, a good case works as a bumper to stop your phone from getting a "concussion" where the electronics will get rattled inside. I drop my phone constantly and have yet to have a scratch.

Here's the link to the case:

It looks like a laptop, but it's just a display, mouse and speakers and battery. The computing power comes from the phone via DeX mode.

I changed the description, I (and many others) call it an elitebook, but it's an Elite X3.

u/drwuzer · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Never have I ever used a screen protector on any phone. I began carrying phones over 20 years ago (pre smartphone) when I was selling them. (holy shit that makes me feel old to say that). I'm very anal about having a clean smooth screen. In that time, I have only ever once had a screen break. It was an AT&T Captivate (Samsung Galaxy S? S2? maybe). I've had the Note 9 since release, have dropped it a number of times with no damage to the screen. I'm using a Spigen Liquid Crystal case that provides minimal protection ( )

Edit: All of that said, both of my daughters somehow manage to crack their screens once a year. One of them has an S9 that cracked, one had an S8 that cracked (she now has an s10 that hasn't cracked yet).
