I got this case http://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Resilient-Ultimate-protection-impacts/dp/B01A7ICWTQ?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 and it works awesome and I cannot complain about it one bit. It doesn't add tons of bulk, but it has decent grip and can easily slide into a shirt or jeans pocket without issues.

I did try a couple of tempered glass screen protectors but I returned them immediately. I really like Sparin glass protectors on my other tablets/phones but it is absolute garbage on my S7. I'm not sure if there are many out there yet, but there should be some coming up by the end of this month that will fit to the curved edges on the regular S7. My problem was that the glass would overlap the curve and there was 1/4 inch on each side that were not in contact with the screen. That meant whenever I had to pull something from the side it just wouldn't work.

I currently am using the IQ Shield http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Protector-Coverage-Shield%C2%AE-LiQuidSkin/dp/B019S70NJI?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 LiQuidSkin screen protector and it works great. I would highly recommend getting the "Case Friendly" version as the regular version will pop up on the corners when you put it in a case. Feel wise, it's smooth. With the screen off you can see a bit of an "orange peel" look, but it's not noticeable with the screen on. It is a wet application and I put it on after steaming up my bathroom using the shower to reduce dust in the air and it applied super easy and perfect.

I'll eventually get a good tempered glass screen protector, but this does the job of preventing scratches for now.

I suggest you get a good case for the phone first. As I've seen in the comments, you like to have drop protection, therefore I give you: the spigen rugged armor https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Resilient-Absorption-Samsung/dp/B01A7IDHOU
This case will give you the best of drop protection and won't add bulk to it, plus it will work with most screen protectors out there and offers also protection on the edges.

As for other things, I like to keep the edge screen for apps edge only. This way I can fit in some apps that I use on a regular basis and I don't want to put too much on the home screen. The transparency setting to full hides the setting very well.

Of course, at first get to know your device and learn to appreciate the things that come with it. I suggest you should make it up for yourself whether you like the features the edge screen brings along or not.

You should go into your edge screen settings and disable yahoo or other news that will show up in your "briefing feed". However, I did not disable the Briefing feed which shows me 3rd party notifications when i swipe on the edges, as I find this very useful in meetings or when the phone just sits at my desk.

For battery life's sake, go to settings, wi-fi, and find the feature "scan for nearby devices". I disabled that because it just drains battery. Then, go to location settings, select "improved accuracy", and disable wi-fi or bluetooth settings. After that, you go to battery settings and scroll down to "app power saving". Set the apps you dont want to be running wild in the background to "always save power". Samsung will turn apps into this mode after 3 days, but you can set it that apps like games for example don't fetch for notifications all the time etc. Last, but not least, tap that build number and you can find the option "inactive apps" in your developer settings. You can toggle apps that you cant deactivate nor uninstall to be inactive so that they don't waste power.

I hoped I could help you out. If you need anything else, this or the r/s7edge subreddit has a lot of informations.

Gratz!

I used this one for 6 or 7 months before I dropped it and it cracked the corner of the case. Saved my phone but it wouldn't stay in the case anymore. III prefer this one because it only adds 2mm of thickness (check out the description) and a ton of grip. It's made of plastic, but the texture will fool you.

After that, I had this lying around after a sale. It's just rubbery, super grippy, and still pretty minimal. Plus now I can see my dbrand skin lol. Definitely keeps my palms off the edge though.

Before this phone I didn't like cases either, so I really can't recommend any of those premium cases because they add too much thickness. Spigen is a reputable case maker too, and they have their own metal cases if you're interested. Good luck!

u/frugal_masturbater · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

The phone doesn't have a UHS-II interface, so the answer is your current card is fine.

I haven't used that case so I don't know about that. I use this:

http://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Exact-Fit-Gunmetal-Premium-Samsung/dp/B01AUR0NZE?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

Spigen Exact Fit. I love it, it's thin, I can use the real phone buttons, and it's got very nice grip. Also super quick and easy to remove. However it certainly is not as protective as most other cases. A tradeoff I'm willing to make.

u/Volkae · 4 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Armor suit is my favorite after trying many. Overall, most the decent wet install shields are fantastic.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01ACXSKAG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1501349894&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=s7+edge+screen+protector&dpPl=1&dpID=51WtCcEuicL&ref=plSrch

For a case, the Spigen Tough Armor is really nice in the protection it gives, it your phone still looks sleek as hell.

As for the one you bought, go back to the store and demand your money back. Should be pretty easy. Tell them you were told by an associate that it'd work perfectly, and it was garbage. If it's a retailer like Wal-Mart, you'll definitely get it back. If you got it through a wireless store like verizon, well... it'll be tougher. You'll probably have to call them out on their shit, demand corporate numbers so you can complain, etc. (Maybe you'll get lucky though.)

u/droidtookstuff · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Best to leave it alone haha.

The phone is so beautiful and a joy to hold, but after this, I bought a case to cover up the nick/chip/scruff. It became a tank but I love it more. With this frame + my case, it's pretty much unbend-able!

My case is a Supcase Pro if you are wondering.

u/newsjunkee · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I am a huge Spigen fan, but I got the one you listed and I don't like it. It really looks rubbery and makes the phone look cheap. I truly love this Spigen case though. I bought a bunch of cases and now use it exclusively (I got the gold because my phone is gold)
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1I6J0E/ref=twister_B01B297RG2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I also like this one http://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Resilient-Ultimate-protection-impacts/dp/B01A7ICWTQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1463344407&sr=8-3&keywords=galaxy+s7+spigen+case

u/Dbug77 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Check out this case

I used Spigen slim armor before it and noticed the case gets scratched very easily and buttons are not as noticeable.

The Unicorn Beetle case is currently my favorite as it has amazing grip, protection and looks great! (Comes in multiple colors)

[Screen protectors also work with this case.]

u/Swaginator_v2 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

No! Trust me, I've tried that! I tried cutting a S7 Edge protector to fit an S7 and ended up tossing it away. They don't cut at all, they stretch and fight and end up distorted and ruined.

And I'm not sure where you're from, but Amazon has those screen protectors for cheap. Like $7 USD cheap. Most in-store protectors over here are like $20!

The issue with the iOttie is that it is not fast wireless charging, but they do have a new version out.

I replaced my iOttie https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958/

with this one - dodocool Qi Wireless Charger 10W 3-coil Fast Wireless Charging Car Mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD7WJDL/

The dodocool has a goofy name but works well. It is able to charge my phone while using Spotify and Google Maps at the same time. FYI Waze does seem to use a bit more juice than Google Maps.

Also, I like how it has the vent clip style mount included as I never have had any luck with the suction cup base mounts staying put after a hot day.

u/SIThereAndThere · 5 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Alright I got a technical question.

I ordered a SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB link

Read: Up to 95MB/s

Write: Up to 90MB/s

So won't this be ideal for a snappy phone speeds from an SD card for both 4k and general use?

---

Compared to the current offer Actual amazon link

The product description doesn't give a clear indication of write speeds (vs the 1st product I listed) but from the useful Amazon Comments I got:

Sequential Read : 45.93 MB/s

Sequential Write : 14.7 MB MB/s

^(thanks /u/ekol for the correct read/write speeds)

So wouldn't the 64gig Extreme pro be ideal for 4k recording and general speediness?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D8D5NCA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_Kx.NBbS4HBKCR

This is the one I have. Much cheaper than oem samsung and works just as good. Supports fast wireless charging, has a good design, led doesnt stay on the whole time (good if you charge at night), and the company has good reviews for support and warranty.

u/mattbuford · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I have this and am reasonably happy with it:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UXS7958

It isn't magnetic, but it is quick and easy to insert and remove. To put the phone, you simply push it against the back and the jaws snap shut. To remove it, you press on the right and left side bars sticking out, and that pushes the jaws open, which then lock.

With music playing via bluetooth and the screen on displaying Google Maps for navigation, charging is kind of a break-even thing. During the day, when auto-brightness is cranking the screen up, I slowly lose charge (like 1% per hour). At night, when the screen dims and Maps goes into night mode, I gain a few percent per hour.

Occasionally, when I leave my car in direct sun for long periods of time, I come back to find the suction has released and have to re-attach it, but this isn't a big deal.

It looks like the price has gone up. I paid $36 for it in August 2016.

u/shane2811 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I honestly cannot say anything bad about this case. Provides great protection while staying very thin. Everything is snug and cutouts are perfect.

http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Full-body-Holster-WITHOUT-Protector/dp/B01BLI4FWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458924224&sr=8-2&keywords=galaxy+S7+edge+supcase+unicorn

u/Rxflection · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I've had this case for a few months now and it's pretty great. Not bulky at all, protects the phone from basic falls, and it's easy to hold.

https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Resilient-Absorption-Samsung/dp/B01A7ICWTQ/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1496504753&sr=8-8&keywords=samsung+galaxy+s7+case

u/-Ravenzfire- · 6 pointsr/GalaxyS7

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7IDCC2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use this one on my S7 Edge. I think it's probably close to what you are looking for. It's got kind of a rubber/grippy texture to it and I love it, never have a problem with it slipping out of my hand. It's definitely a slim fit so not a ton of protection but I rarely if ever drop my phone so just wanted something with basic protection and good grip.

Edit: Found an S7 version:

u/MrAxlee · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I have the 200GB Sandisk UHS-1 card, which is 90MB/s. Not the fastest, that was way out of my price bracket, but I'm guessing at least one of the most popular due to the heavy discount when the S7 got announced. Once I find out the best way to benchmark before/after enabling adoptable I'll report back.

u/ds_279 · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I use an ArmorSuit screen protector for my S7 because it works well with cases.

It's not a traditional screen protector. It's more of a rubberized plastic that sticks to it. They're easy to put on and have a lifetime warranty on each of them. If you ever need a new one you just need to pay $2 for shipping. I would totally recommend them.

*edit: They also adhere to the curves of the phone. I have installed one of these on both a Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S9+ and they adhere to the curves perfectly.

u/jnads · 0 pointsr/GalaxyS7

It's the Galaxy S7 Edge Case, Spigen® [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear] Clear back panel + TPU bumper for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) - (556CS20034)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7IDKMO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

Essentially I got two of them. Obviously I don't need two cases. Amazon wouldn't let me cancel one. USPS shipping tends to be about $3 in the US. So For $6 I can send you one, with tracking number. PM me.

This one is a hard plastic back with a grippy TPU side. Doesn't interfere with using the edge. The sides are still pretty grippy, the back is more protective hard plastic rather than bendable grippy like the LUVVITT. But it does show off the back better (the LUVVITT has a matte texture so it doesn't give a wet look).

u/StatuSChecKa · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I love my NiteIze Steelie mount. I use it multiple times a day. It is fast, low profile and holds up to my spirited driving. I dismantled my Qi charger to get the phone as close as possible.

It turns out the magnet on the Steelie is so strong, it will interfere with the induction charging.

FYI: I did a test without the case or magnet. I placed 5 Millimeters of paper between the phone and charger and the wireless charging still worked fine.

Edit: Here are product links:

I've only ever used this case but it seems pretty solid and has a lot of good reviews to boot:

I just put this on my S7E a few nights and am happy with it. It's a wet application, but after watching the installation visits it was pretty simple.

Spigen Rugged Armor. Very happy with it. Not too bulky, but solid protection. Good quality, well made case.

u/Jon-W · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I've never had luck with screen protectors with curved screens so I don't use them.

As far as cases go, I've found Caseology cases like this one and Spigen cases like this one don't add much bulk and keep it feeling pretty thin. Anything with a kickstand is gonna feel super thick.

u/Oxygene13 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

This is the chap I use. The 'Spigen', its easy to get on and off, but not loose at all. Fits like a glove and doesnt feel overly bigger then not having the case.

BUt then I got mine mainly for gentle chips and corner / side bumps. Plus its hard to hold the edge without touching the actual edge screen! So this helps no end with that too!

u/cashmunny · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I have the S7 edge, so good screen protectors are hard to come by because they're prone to come up around the edges. The best protector I have ever used on any phone is the Armorsuit MilitaryShield.

It uses a wet application process so you will need to power down your phone overnight while it dries. I recommend watching a YouTube tutorial when applying it. The end result is a smooth, bubble free protector that you can barely tell is there.

Looks like Spigen's s7 edge cases are finally back on amazon got it when it was 12-14$. But yeah I think this case is fantastic haven't had any problems with it.

u/greyrider9 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I use that protector and it's great, no trouble installing at all. Take your time and DON'T worry about the small bubbles and blemishes that you see when you first finish. After about 12 hours most were gone and after 24 hours it looked perfect, not a single bubble.

I used Spigen neo hybrid for a bit, but just switched to their thin fit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AUR0NZE and love it. Protection may not be the best, but I worry more about scratches on the case and screen then drops. Minimal size increase over stock phone, AND it fits over the Slickwrap decal that I have on the phone, in case I take the case off.

u/jrlionheart00 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

this is the case I have and I love it so much, has a built in screen protector (plastic) that protects the phone from scratches, which you will get if you put your phone in your pocket or purse, it doesn't make the phone too bulky and adds a ton of grip too. I like to add that the built in protector doesn't mess with the touch sensitivity.

I bought ArmorSuit for my S7 and it's been great, fits perfectly with my case and besides being slightly more "sticky" it runs smooth. I've since bought additional versions for other devices... Economical with lifetime replacements. (Edited for autocorrected product name.)

u/jklnexus · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I like that this one has a frosty clear back so you can see the samsung logo and s7 logo and it just looks sweet.... probably wont be good for drops but will definitely protect against scratches on the body https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Premium-Protective-Samsung/dp/B01BLF3OLO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485965513&sr=8-2&keywords=supcase+s7

Also here to say I'm having the same issue when using the aux cable in my car and Galaxy S7. (Just purchased 3/20)

I get static when using Maps, Google Music, and making calls (barely audible with all the static).

I have searched and come across some users recommending to go to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects > [With an auxillary cable/headphone plugged in], switch UHQ upscaler from off > on. This surprisingly did the trick after I restarted I think. But now it is back to static and it's beginning to get annoying.

If you find a fix please update!

Update: Just wanted to drop by and say that I was able to fix the issue (as it stands anyhow). Taking the advice of a fellow redditor in this thread, I purchased this device and the static has ceased. Should I/you have to purchase something like this to make our brand new $600+ phone function normally? Probably not, but so far this has fixed my issue and I hope it can help someone else out there experiencing similar issues.

u/nolookjones · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

have this one for my s7 but it's the exact for model that has the phone exposed at top and bottom so it's even more minimal. love it cause it's very matte and adds grip to the very slippery glass back and adds basic protection. wireless charging works too FYI...

u/mrmattolsen · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Yes I've used it for the past 6 months. Still on my first one. Fits great -- since it's a film, it conforms to the curved edge well. Pics here are accurate: https://www.amazon.com/Armorsuit-MilitaryShield-Protector-Anti-Bubble-Replacements/dp/B01ACXRS6I

u/wasabii91 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Searching on reddit led me to the Spigen Neo Hybrid. It fits well, buttons work perfectly and is protective (haven't dropped my phone yet tho but the case has a rubber part to it as well so I think it would absorb the impact pretty well). Plus I don't think it's super bulky which is a big factor for me.

I definitely second this. I recommend that you get the Spigen Rugged Armor case. It's about 10-15 dollars and it's pretty good.

u/SuperDece · 12 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I've used Spigen for my last 3 or 4 phones. The Rugged Armor has been great for my s7 edge. It's slightly thinner than Neo Hybrid, and only slightly thicker than the Thin Fit since it sits in front of the bezel on top and bottom.

u/TheGreatIgneel · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

This is the case I use:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01A7IDF3S/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487822695&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=s7+edge+spigen+clear+case
It's very slim and provides basic protection, which is enough for me (it has a small lip over the screen to protect it from drops). Spigen's cases have been working really well for me and haven't had a problem with them yet. However, if you want a little more protection, this could work as well:

Get this one from Amazon. It's $20 and offers true fast charging, unlike any Chinese bootleg. When you put your phone on it a ring of LEDs around it turns blue, then turns green to indicate fast charging, then fades off after a few seconds. It's sweet.

This is what I use, and it works great.

https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958

Only caveats are if it's hot outside the phone can get SUPER hot. Generally I don't have any issues, but on 80*F+ days I usually unplug the charger.

Also, I don't expect the wireless charging to charge fast, so when I actually need fast charging I just move the cable from the dock to the phone.

These are issues with any wireless chargers, not just the iOttie.

Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro
Doesn't include a screen protector but the plastic in the front makes it feel much more protected in a 360 way. Also it's not very bulky and feels grippy.

Best case I ever used. Got it for $1 for my girlfriend's iPhone, and it worked so well I got one for my S7e, and eventually my S7.

u/skookum_qq · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I just bought this and it works perfectly and way cheaper than the Samsung brand chargers.

u/Arkaedrian · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Thanks for the reply!

The Unicorn Beetle pro Full case that I would get though doesn't come with a screen protector (http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Full-body-Holster-WITHOUT-Protector/dp/B01BLI4FWI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464080997&sr=8-1&keywords=Unicorn+beetle+pro+full+case+S7+edge).

I've never been a fan of them and am generally very careful with my phones (upgrading from a 3+ year old S3).

Should I get a screen protector for this phone though?

u/cruzweb · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

u/Ozymayne · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Right now, I'm using the Spigen Rugged Armor case:

Do you think I should be fine with the GD Smith one along with this case, or should I get a different case?

Thank you for the links by the way!

I had the same problem with that case. Went with one of these instead and it's great.

I use the commuter with this screen protector since December and it is still in perfect condition. I followed the instructions and left my phone off for 12 hours which was hard but I did it right before bed on a night I didn't have to set an alarm. It doesnt bunch up in the corners or edges, I have no dirt or air bubbles, and it hasn't torn. I shove my phone in my purse, my pockets, my desk, no issues. It's a good product. Also my touch screen response has not changed at all.

1 down side is when the corner of my nail hits it I can feel that it's not glass I'm touching. Also it gets smuges pretty easy but they wipe off with my shirt.

u/Kralizec9 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Lots of good options out there. I'd say go for Sandisk's options. Their 128gb is twice as fast for $9 more. The 200gb version is sold out on amazon now though.

u/Khord · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

It's just the nature of it. Some cases are going to grip the curved edge more. Others, like snap on thin cases, do not grip the edge as much and are fine with this protector.

So my debate right now is to stick with this protector and a thin case, or get a protector that only rests on the flat area of the glass, and use the thicker cases.

These are the 3 Spigens I have, last 2 I believe are variants of yours, and the ones that peel up for me. First one is working with the IQ sheild.

u/fleshturd · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Not OP, but I use this same charging pad and have a case on an s7 edge. It's a little finicky, but it definitely works with a case.

Here's the case I use:

If you find one, let me know. I've got a Spigen Neo Hybrid on my GS7E, which is pretty damn slim and small and I still have to remove it to put my phone in my Gear VR.

I honestly don't think one exists.

u/AlexusN · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

You can't use both - you either use that metal plate on the back OR the wireless charging. Metal completely blocks the electromagnetic field that current version of wireless charging uses.

If you really want to use the phone mounted somewhere on dashboard (which I personally never do) - you can try something like this instead of magnetic mounts:
https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958

Or, like you said, just give up on wireless charging altogether.

u/volando34 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I'm thinking of going with this one which is supposedly 80MB/s at half the price even with this sale... is there any real benefit here?

u/sepulture · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

try armor suit - it's the only one that worked with the edge screen

the secret i found is using a hair dryer (on low, cool) to make it stick better to the edge when it is 'curing'

although it's a wet applicator, i like it a lot

I'm currently using this case: https://www.amazon.ca/SUPCASE-Full-body-Holster-Protector-Samsung/dp/B01BLEWFGK/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=unicorn+beetle+s7+case&qid=1569097223&s=gateway&sr=8-1

It works quite well for protecting from falls and stuff. The biggest drawback I have with it, is that the area around the home button collects dirt and whatnot between the screen and the screen protector. Otherwise, I find it to be durable and doesn't add as much bulk as something like an Otterbox Defender.

u/SomeASCIICharacters · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I got this one, though it doesn't offer the best protection, it makes the phone feel great.

Do you think a game as big as Real Racing 3 (1.16gb) would take a performance hit? I have a decent-ish SD card ... and it definitely seems more practical to move the larger apps to the SD card. hmmm.

I don't know what your definition of "cheap" is but I ended up going this direction - http://amzn.com/B00W77C1QU - it's a brand I've used in the past and the reviews (with speed tests) looked promising. $25 for a (reliable brand) 64gb U3 card was tough to beat in my shopping around.

Before I found the UHQ Upscaler (which solved the problem for me) I ordered this [ground loop isolator] (http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SNI-1-3-5-3-5-mm-Isolator/dp/B001EAQTRI) from amazon for about $10. It fixed all that background noise as well.

u/crux-of-the-biscuit · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I use the Unicorn Beetle case, and it completely solved that issue for me. It makes the buttons just slightly harder to press, eliminating accidental presses. It also adds a little extra grip to the sides so that the fingers don't rest on the "edge" display.

u/_Cliftonville_FC_ · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Flat or edge S7?

I use this on my S7 (non-edge). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AIWCM8W/

Fits fine. Edges do not lift up. Covers the entire screen. Works with cases. Initially there was a band/line running straight across the short side of the screen about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. The film's coating was uneven and streaky (the film looks like the a screen with screen burn in). It was noticeable when the phone screen is off. The visible banding/lines on the SP have greatly diminished after having the SP installed for a few days. Barely noticeable, now. If you wear polarized lens you see the banding, still annoying, but much more bearable.

I've reviewed a bunch and the only good screen protector period is armorshields. The rest suffer from orange peel texture, bubbling, small cutouts excluding the curves, and some have touch sensitivity issues.

https://www.amazon.com/Armorsuit-MilitaryShield-Protector-Anti-Bubble-Replacements/dp/B01ACXRS6I

There is technically no good screen protector for the s7 due to the curve, but this is the closest you'll get.

The cracking in the bottom rightof my screen protector is due to a defect, I applied some pressure with my thumb nail and it spidered out, not from lack of protection from case necessarily.

I Personally just ordered this one from PNY 64gb for the right price, and boasts 90mb/s speeds. I chose PNY because it seems sd card counterfeiters are targeting sandisk/samsung the most. I just dont want to deal with the hassle of a fake sd card.
