Necro post but I use diapers and pullups that are much more breathable than their plastic backed counterparts for this reason. I use LivDry briefs along with their pads, as well as Abena Abri-Flex pullups if I'm in a hurry or lazy.

I used to buy Tena Flex diapers that were a breeze to put on, change, and climate appropriate, plus they are thin and absorb well. However I haven't used them in a while only because I like how comfortable and soft the other two I listed are. Once I start travelling again I think I'll buy the Tenas again, though.

Yah so the diaper covers for prefolds are adjustable with multiple snaps and diapers that take inserts are also usually adjustable. This is an example of a type that takes inserts . Sigzagor Teen Adult Cloth Diaper Nappy Reusable Washable For Disability Incontinence For Women Girls (Purple) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QCWJKD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_sRjlDb6F6EAS8
Notice all the snaps on the front for varying sizes.

I ran across B-Sure ABL Absorbent Pads today while going through some old emails. I don't know if they would work for you, but I thought I'd point them out. They're also available on Amazon for about the same price.

Thanks!

And I gave up on finding a subtle one made specifically for this purpose in my size. I'm trying this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0186HARI8

but I suspect it might cause problems because it's made to fit so snugly.

Personally I'll be watching the Amazon pages of the ones recced here https://www.realworldincon.com/helpful-items to see if they ever restock in my size.
