I use these lights. They have a long enough battery life to do a full shift in December when it's early nights. The only issue I have found with them is the button can stick on the front light after it's been raining heavily but rain cannot kill them.

Application can often take just a few days but it takes longer over the summer as they are using the downtime to implement changes. (It gets quieter outside of term time because students make up the majority of the customers. Again availability matching means riders will still get the drops and won't be say around making nothing). It should take about two weeks to get through at the minute I understand.
Alot of riders work for both companies. Using Uber only when they don't have a shift with Deliveroo.

There's one in Morrison's in town, dunno about the commission rates though. Tbh those supermarkets machines are all pretty rubbish for it - have you got too much to bag it out yourself?
Can get a sorter on amazon for £20 which might be less than 15%. Then just drop it at your bank or something.

Was it locked up with just the cable lock seen in the photo? If it was, sadly you've learnt the hard way about how poor they are (you can cut them quickly with a simple hand tool).
