Not on my main computer so I will edit this comment later but swiggy actually had an updated book list with more stuff on it that included even more in the comments. I'm sad I can't access it now but here are my contributions to that list (link to swiggy's updated list for if/when it becomes available again):
When I Say No I Feel Guilty is a book about assertiveness training that will help immensely in building that shiny spine.
"I Hate You - Don't Leave Me" and "Stop Walking on Eggshells" (and its accompanying workbook) are 3 great books about BPD (borderline personality disorder).
I also have a link to a free pdf version of The Gift of Fear so I will edit with that later. Here it is.

Look into getting yourself a travel wallet - carry a decoy purse or the like. Then if it is an ambush like you suspect it might be, you are better prepared to bug out in a hurry.

I have these because I’m in a rental & can’t hardwire in a decent system. This has an NVR & no cloud back up, which is not ideal. You also have to plug them into a power source, but they have really long cord. I suspect long enough to cross a tandem garage. It installs super easy. I got them when I lost my DVPO against narc husband. They are pretty affordable.
If she’s on any kind of timeout, and if there is a family tradition or her birthday coming up, she may escalate. If he’s done for good, I expect she’ll escalate.
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but I wouldn’t let her around my kids. She’s abusive af.
