I have two TV's with lightpacks on them. One one this style of mount, and one on this style. The fixed mount is way too close to the wall. I would definitely recommend the other one to get it further away so that the light defuses better. All of the adjustments that there are on it have the ability to tighten, and they don't move from position without actually intentionally readjusting them. Whatever you choose, don't get one of these ones with the single swing arm. I have one of those as well, and they do not stay in position very well at all.

Can you just use an entirely different LED strip? Is there any special processing happening on the strip itself? For example if you buy an LED strip from Amazon, and connect it to each end of the Red/Black LightPack2, will it work?
For Example this strip is much longer and has far more LEDs on it, but the same 4 point connection that could slide right into the LightPack connectors. Would it work?

You could try buying one of these AppleTV Mounts and sliding it in instead, the box is about the same size (if not a bit awkwardly shaped).

This is reply from dreamscreen:

>Hello Jack,
We received your question in regards to some of the differentiation between DreamScreen, Lightpack, AmbiVision and Ambiscreen.

>Lightpack:
Advantage is that they dont need a splittter - they take multiple inputs and connect to LEDs.
Disadvantage is the price and it is in development till February of next year.

>AmbiScreen:
We are aware that it was a indegogo project - we are not aware that they are shipping.

>AmbiVision:
This product is similar to DreamScreen in that it uses a splitter. It however needs a raspberry pi (which comes with kit)

>DreamScreen:
This product needs a splitter that ships with unit. If instead of the splitter you can use a matrix to allow for more HDMI inputs.

>DreamScreen is currently in preorder and any orders now are expected to ship in about 3-4 weeks.

I guess I should have clarified: I'm mounting at 65" screen, so the single arm model is out. I used to buy Cheetah Mounts all the time, for work whenever we mounted a screen in a conference room, but I ordered from them recently and found that their quality has taken a dive.

I'm currently leaning towards this one.
