/u/BBR91 - for photography, I recommend the FZ1000 for its larger sensor and higher resolution. The FZ300's constant aperture zoom is nice, but your smartphone camera probably resolves better.

As of this post, you can [get the FZ1000 for $597.99] (https://www.amazon.com/PANASONIC-Vario-ELMARIT-Megapixels-Sensitivity-DMC-FZ1000/dp/B00KOUIBZW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?m=A1FEMUPDYDOB6&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1525527481&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20), but the price will be going back up to $797.99 soon.

Hope this is helpful and good luck with your decision!

Gotcha. Yeah, it really sounds like the AC adapter would be the way to go here. They’re only like twenty bucks and they really save you a lot on batteries - or at least saves you time switching the batteries. I use mine for product shots. I can leave the camera on all day and just snap a photo whoever I have the next product staged for the shot. Super handy.

Edit: this is the one I bought a couple years ago. I’ve never had an issue with it.

ok, here is the tricky part, although im getting advice from you guys and friends in the UK/US, Im actually in japan, there the gx85/gx8 is refered to as the gx7m2. currently the m2 is out of production so now its the [gx7m3.] (https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%83%91%E3%83%8A%E3%82%BD%E3%83%8B%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF-%E3%83%9F%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AC%E3%82%B9%E4%B8%80%E7%9C%BC%E3%82%AB%E3%83%A1%E3%83%A9-GX7MK3-%E5%8D%98%E7%84%A6%E7%82%B9%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%82%ABDG%E3%83%AC%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BA%E3%82%AD%E3%83%83%E3%83%88-DC-GX7MK3L-K/dp/B079TFM6S7/ref=dp_ob_title_ce) which is 820 pounds. meanwhile in the UK, the GX8 (which I beleive is the exact same model as the GX85) is only [379 pounds!] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Camera-DMC-GX80KEBK-Mirrorless-Digital/dp/B01E4ZRX7O/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=GX85&qid=1569342073&s=electronics&sr=1-2)

honestly I cant believe it that something like that is so much cheaper in my homeland where shit is always off the scale expensive.

Check out the Elgato Cam Link. It’s a USB dongle that accepts HDMI input and shows up as a webcam on the computer. It can be used in any app that supports a webcam. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K3FN5MR/

I ended up going with the amazon basics large case, which has enough room for the camera and a small pouch to store the shoulder strap and extra battery when not in use. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Large-Point-Shoot-Camera/dp/B00DUGZEWK/ref=sr_1_5?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1486316917&sr=1-5&keywords=camera+case

This one is a basic adapter. Or this for a speedboosting adapter with aperture control.

No need for UHS-II for 100mb/s. I have shot dozens of hours of 4K with these and zero errors:

SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I Card (SDSDXXG-128G-GN4IN) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J5RH06K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_qKg6Bb0SPA61D

If you are going to get another cam that does higher bitrates then maybe get UHS-II for future, but no need to spend the extra money right now (same card in UHS-II is $240!).
