Let me tell ya somethin’ somethin’, buckaroo. It’s best to get medical attention ASAP, you’re not guaranteed not to catch a disease, Irreversable/permanent damage or the infection gets out of control, don’t take your health for granted

I’m tellin’ ya, cowboy, let the doc’s help ya first.

Buut i ain’t forcing you to do shit, so let me give you some blueprints in the meantime to deal with what you have, here’s what you gotta do:-

  1. Thoroughly flush your lesion with lukewarm water for 30 seconds or until the pus has been washed out, if you have a Saline solution even better.

  2. Depends on how deep your cut is, if adipose/fat tissue is exposed do not apply antiseptic or antibiotic directly inside the tissue, if your cut is in dermis/epidermis, disinfect it with antiseptic solution, ones that are common in every pharmacy is such as povidone-iodine 10%, isopropyl alcohol 70% (heads up, it stings like hell) and NaCl 0.9% saline solution.

  3. If the cut is gaping, you gotta close that thing, with Steri-Strips or Butterfly Bandages hmm, whats that? Don’t have those? Time to dust up your DIY skills and makeshift a butterfly bandage!

  4. You need an antibiotic cream/ointment topical antibiotic are your soldier platoon to fight the infection, smear it all over (not directly inside if fat tissue is exposed), such as Neosprin i reccomend Fusidic Acid 2% this one always helped deal with my infections.

  5. do you like ripping off a bandage? of course not, you masochoist! Sometimes the scab is infused with the bandage, thus getting painfully ripped off and slow down healing/bleeding, solution? Wound dressings! Such as Mepitel or a Medicated Mesh Wound Dressing what? You like cheap DIY solutions? Sure thing! You can apply plenty of topical antibiotic as a moisture to keep blood from sticking or Wound Gel

  6. Time to put the babies to sleep with a blanket, preferably cover your slits with Non-stick sterile (or non sterile) gauze pad then secure edges with medical tape, as that can let your lesion breath/form a scab, but you can also use plasters or cosmopor bandages, repeat cleaning process daily(24hours) or if it gets soaked in blood or dirty.

Some more info, when you’re working make sure everything is clean as possible and sterile, wash your hands, the tools, the scissors you use to cut up bandages and the table you’re working on, also wear breathable clothes, sleep well, eat well, eat foods that boost your immune system with Vitamin C, D, Magnesium and Calcium.

Now listen up cowboy, if your infection is still there after 5-10 days, progressing or if you get fever, stop playing pretend nurse and get a real nurse working on ya be safe, laddie.

It's mostly time that will fade them. However, my doctor said that a silicone scar gel like Dermatix will help the scar to become less red/purple and less raised as much as possible. I have always used it on my scars and I think it's helped. I haven't been impressed with the results of Bio Oil - it can help scars to be a little less tight/painful by keeping them moisturised, but it hasn't lead to any visual improvement for me.

However, rest assured that they will eventually fade and become less noticeable. I have a 9 inch scar down my arm that used to be dark purple and attract all kinds of comments. Now, four years later, it's all white and nobody even notices it half the time.

You do you. It wasn't until I quit that I realized I had a buttload of different reasons that I never addressed or understood because I never sat down and forced myself to think through my crap. Shit's rough. I don't blame anyone ever. People always freak out about selfharm and what I've learned is to take care of the person physically right now and be there for them when they're ready. Freaking out does jack shit.

Alright so I said I was going to post the book and I can't find it because I don't remember who wrote it. I'm a visual person and I'm pretty sure they changed the cover so here's some books with great reviews that cover the same topic.

Your Inner Critic Is a Big Jerk: And Other Truths About Being Creative -I actually might buy this one.

Funny, I actually self harmed by breaking https://www.amazon.com/Ziotek-Metal-Case-Slot-Covers/dp/B000BSJHRI into two. Not that sharp, but where there's a will there's a way :) I can actually very faintly still see a scar from that like 3 years later

I can’t judge the amazon seller here but 10cm x 10cm is probably the most useful size to get. You’d need to get some medical tape or a bandage to stick it on though

I prefer Feather razor blades. 100 count is a better deal too.

For the 37 I just used a blue ballpoint pen. For the 53 I used a ballpoint pen and these pens for the colored parts.

For the 74 I first used a pencil to sketch the outlines of the number & the letters. Then I went over those with a black ballpoint pen. After that I filled it in with the pattern and went over all my lines a 2nd time. Then I added gold with this gold pen. At last I decided to go over the outlines a 3rd time to make them thicker.
