I've personally come to terms with Comp. Im a solo and unless i make a team or find a team willing to work with me im hardstuck in gold if i ever attemp to solo Comp. And im a good Mercy Main by most standards. I just cant carry 5 players with their own agenda to not work with the team.

Like most of the Advice threads here. the biggest thing players will tell you is Positioning. And situational awareness is key in this gmae for Mercy mains.

Another thing that isnt mentioned is Hardware. What platform are you on? It may help to invest in grips if you are on console. and a good mouse if you are on PC.
But it will help you a lot if you can hear the game and enemies better.
Even though there is a game breaking sound bug on all platforms right now, its still useful to invest in a good or top of the line gaming headset to hear everything with. Especially if you are on console. Get a headset wit 5.1 surround sound or better and make sure it works properly. (i believe 7.1 surround sound is a gimmick right now and doesnt work on OW so try to avoid headsets with that if they offer it as the only option for the headset).
If you need a few recommendations Let me know. I personally use Hyper X cloud II without the 7.1 and they are great. Only problem is Overwatch sounds have been deteriorating for a year now and until the devs fix this its sometimes a RNG game of winning or losing a match all because of sound bugs.

Once you have good positioning and situational awareness. which you probably do after 2+years of playing. you have to focus on damage boosting or healing and Value of Life or deaths. DMG/Healing comes down to your teams comp, if you are on defense or attack, whos playing better then others/ carrying the team, and if you can communicate or read your team or the enemy team.

From my personal experience right now Mercy is probably the 3rd best healer overall and 4th best healer per team comp and skill. Being out healed by Moira then Lucio(3rd is Brigitte), which is a sad state to see her in. Mercy is not a good healer compared to a good moira healer. Just the other day i had a moira out heal me by 6000+(13901/44% to 7477) and that made me feel useless.
Not saying Mercy isnt viable anymore but she really needs that 55HPS buff the entire community has been in agreement with. And she can still outheal most supports if you try hard enough.

Now that its forced 2-2-2 and you are in silver. I would say focus more on Healing if they pick a off support or Ana. And focus on Damage boosting if they pick a main support like Moira Baptiste. And Lucio if hes healing a lot or team is grouped up.
It does change depending on how skilled the other healer is but if you are not sure in a match its usually better to keep healing then damage boost imo.

VoL/Value of Life.
This is probably the hardest thing to figure out for most supports and Mercy players in general because mercy has the ability to carry the team until shes dead then the whole team usually dies shortly after. This is when you know your doing good even though you died(probably because incompetent teammates).
At all costs try to stay alive. I try to stay at 3 deaths or lower per match. This changes to 6 on control point maps if i have to go 3 rounds. So in total in comp you shouldnt be going over about 8 deaths per game. and for each death you should have healed at least 2000 to 3000.
Any higher number of deaths and you might have positioning problems and are not using Mercy's mobility to the fullest.

.

For now thats all im gonna type up. Sorry for ranting in some of that.
Anyway you should try to stream or record some of your gameplay for us so we can help you focus on the mistakes you might be making. And help with them. Also if you need me to go in depth into things like which heroes you should heal or boost or when to Ult and stuff, let me know. i'd be happy to try and help you out if i can.
