I found these guys: Real Mushrooms.. Been using their Lions Mane for like a month and I feel more of an improvement than some other brands I've tried (Stamets brand and another). Seems like I can think more objectively and I'm more articulate when speaking (always been a challenge for me)..

I actually know the area where they are made too. Roberts Creek in British Columbia.. Full of super hippies. If anyone is going to produce a quality product with mushrooms, it would be there. Roberts Creek also is where Holy Crap Cereal comes from :D

Thanks for taking the time to write this detailed, clear and useful answer!

So I could mix reishi and cordyceps and have them working in synergy, correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe they should balance well since they have different mechanisms of act and aims.

For Reishi I had brought this brand, since I had good experiences with their herbs: https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Capsules-100-Count-Packaging/dp/B00024D290/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

Should I ditch this, since it is not an hot water extract, or you think I can use the capsules this time?

Thanks again!

Brands can make claims but unless those claims are backed up with actual test certificates I'd take it with a grain of salt. 1% adenosine is a high level, I wouldn't just take their word for it but ask for proof for sure.

I checked the Solaray one but I don't see 1% cordycepin mentioned anywhere. The Amazon listing has no specs at all, only 'biomass' (meaning 60-70% starch).

Looked that one up in particular because like you say C. sinensis hardly contains cordycepin/nucleosides, and biomass most likely won't contain anything that can be detected.

Why well because it is diluted by the starch and it is not extracted either, so whatever is there has bioavailability issues.

BTW, are you mixing up 'Solaray' with 'Solgar' maybe ? Solgar is a decent supplement brand, Solaray is only selling run-of-the-mill cheap stuff I think ?

I've been using this product for a little bit now. Should I consider switching to those recommended in your thread? Also, does it matter between capsules versus powder extract?

Thanks!

I think they're fake reviews. Also, Amazon love to automate everything and they've now listed this as "Amazon Choice"! - probably because of over 1,000 5 star reviews. I hate this. The world we live in is surrounded by scam artists, fraud, and corruption.

Edit: Yep, fake! https://www.fakespot.com/product/organic-lions-mane-mushroom-capsules-2100-mg-highest-capsule-serving-bioperine-for-enhanced-absorption-nootropic-brain-supplement-immune-system-booster-100-pure-lions-mane-extract
