  1. It depends on what you can afford. GA+ seems like a good place to be, but honestly I have a great time with the basic pass and the last acts get so crowded you probably won't even be able to get to the GA+ area.
  2. You can get really close with GA+ I really don't see any reason to try to get closer than that, you can get closer if you wanted to even with a basic ticket, but you would need to camp all day.
  3. I did that my first year, honestly it is REALLY hard and it gets terribly hot. I did it for Eminem and there were people passing out and being carried to the front in WAVES. The security basically had a line of people being carried out. You basically need to be out in the sun for 12+ hours without food, water, bathroom, or personal space. It's a fond memory but I would never do it or recommend it.
  4. You must be thinking of the Atlanta Eye which is in another part of town and not at all free.
  5. Short 5 minute walk. The later in the day it goes the harder it is to leave your stage though

I wrote some tips for someone wanting to see Billie Eilish this year, I'll paste it here -

  6. Always bring a hat and sunglasses
  7. Bring a sealed 1L water bottle. The lines for water are REALLY long when the event starts, and gets shorter as it gets cooler and that is when you want to refill.
  8. Use empty sunblock containers to sneak vodka in - they have been known to leak sometimes, but that can be fixed by putting plastic wrap under the screw top. Also, if you buy lemonade inside they come in reusable "Drink mixer" type bottles, which is perfect for adding vodka to... AND you get free refills!! 9. Pee before the last act or two. You will thank me later as you won't be able to escape.
  10. As for getting to the front, your best bet is to get there early or say you have a friend ahead you are trying to get to.

My real advice though is not to even worry about getting to the front, especially with how crowded Billie will be. Last year she wasn't close to as big as she is now and her crowd was MASSIVE, almost comparable to a final act so this year it's going to be even bigger. Getting to the front and staying there is a much bigger test of endurance than you would think. My first year there was about 5 years ago and Eminem was a final act. People got there 2 hours before the park opened (About 9AM) RAN to the stage he was performing at, and stayed there until he came on (I think 11 PM). It was CRAZY hot and by the time he was coming out there was a sea of people passing out, being crowd-surfed to the front, getting heatstroke, I saw someone pay $100 for a half drunk water bottle because once you are in the crowd, you are IN THE CROWD. There is no escape.

That being said it's a blast, but unless you REALLY love Billie, I would stick with your friends and float around. Maybe get some binoculars.

I'm curious about this too. I have a CamelBak that I brought to Shaky Knees last year and had no issue bringing it in but I see Music Midtown says no multi-pocket bags and technically this one has at least 2 zippered compartments... I'm just going to take it and hope for the best. Having that constant source of water is a life saver at these things.

Every year, the requirements for backpacks have changed. I bought this bag 2 years ago bc it fit the dimensions. Just bring a small-ish bag and be prepared for them to poke the shit out of it.
