There is a prequel comic and three (so far) sequel comics (third is coming in January, 2019).

It's worth reading if you loved the show and want more from the show, especially with S3's ending.

The writing isn't on par with the show by a long shot, and the dialogue mimics a lot of phrases from the show as well.

I've linked the comics below.

Prequel

Sequels: 1, 2, and 3.

If you like to read this has the same premise and is a really great story. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Omnibus https://www.amazon.com/dp/1401240836/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xSzZxb1F7M2QP

Yes, that book contains the entire prequel comic series.

The comic that is continuing on from the season 3 has not been released in collected form yet. It will be coming in October and you can pre-order that here:

I have not seen word on if that will the be the end or not. I have a feeling if sales are good enough they'll continue with it.

My suggestion: a book on the madness and wonder of 19th century African exploration. Specifically The White Nile, one of the great reads of the last century.

Not only may some of the men bring to mind Sir Malcolm, but the tale of Mr. and Mrs. Baker may remind one of the stern stuff of which (some) Victorian Englishwomen were made.

In fact, I think I'll now read Baker's own memoir.
