I tried this one: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00FQLNLTU it is labeled as "activ" but as i said, it didn´t work. I think a better shot is a cable like this one: https://www.amazon.de/StarTech-com-aktives-USB-2-0-Verlängerungskabel/dp/B00K7YI7W2 where you can connect a dedicated power adapter.

EDIT: I just saw in the description of the first cable, that there IS a port for a 5V power adapter :-D.... ok, i will try this!
Yeah, you're gonna want 2 light houses, but 1 will work in a pinch for some stuff, seated sims etc. Looks like valve sells them now, the 2.0 versions, but they're $150 each which is painful. It's still possible to just buy a cheap used OG vive kit and use the light houses and even vice wands from that to get started. That's what I did and was lucky enough to find a like-new vive setup with a DAS on Craigslist for $300.
I have the index controllers, but might bust out the vive wands again and have them nearby since not many games support the index controllers yet. A lot of games are just unplayable with them, eg fallout 4, Thumper. Over time more games should hopefully support them though. And there are apps to do custom steamvr controller overrides, I just don't like having to dick around with that kind of stuff because it's tedious and seems like doesn't work half the time.
I'd say the DAS with thicker face foam (there's a cheap Amazon version of the foam that works) is a must for comfort. Mine literally hurt to wear until I did the DAS mod and thicker facial foam. Now it's very good.
Face foam I got:

https://www.amazon.com/Pimax-Virtual-2560x1440p-Tracking-Warranty/dp/B07R8VMF3N
I've read that this has noticable SDE and its a thousand dollars just for the headset alone. But I'd love to try one. Then you of course have the Vive Pro which is Samsung OLED that is supposed to be pretty decent. Then for only $300 or even $230 you can get a Samsung Odessey+ which has the exact same screen as the Pro but an odd design comfort wise.
Those are the three I know of.
The cable is definitely shorter than on the Vive.
Using Vive linkbox to fix USB issue which gives a tiny extension, and a DP extension cable myself.
Also tried USB-C -> 3.5mm adapter for audio with my first HMD that had a busted audio jack on day1, which worked fine as well (although it keeps slapping you in the face since it's nice and centered on the bottom.)
5m cable is probably a lot cheaper, you would still need to add money, I'm pretty sure. ( 10m would need to be active )
Check these prices for instance
https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Cable-30-10m-Active/dp/B00IFZN2O8
Yes, it works fine for me with the powered USB extension that the Oculus Rift standalone sensor comes with, and a pretty generic CableMatters DisplayPort extension.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1K1KDE/
This one works fine for me, the amazon basics USB 3.0 extender seems ok as well.
I managed to get this working using a 10ft and 3ft version of this cableand chaining them together.
For USB, a friend of mine recommended this cable as it worked fine for him. However, I'm needing to use the Vive link box like others suggested here to get it working, whereas my friend did not. It could be that I needed a longer cable than they did. They mentioned only needing to extend by 10ft. Could also be that my motherboard is a few years old, right when USB 3.0 was coming out.
However, since getting it setup I've finally had to plug in headphones and have discovered that the headphone port on the headset if very loose and I'm getting no left channel audio out of it. So I need to get a replacement headset. :(

I use the DAS that i had for the vive, ordered the 3d printed pieces to hook the pimax to it. Pimax face foam felt good but need the HMD around an inch or two more from my face. Used double sided velcro in between the face foam and HMD and it looks like it just might be enough.

Another german user is successfully using these, and recommended them to me:
3m USB: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00WHZ8NDW
3m Power: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0768ZMTSW
2x1,80m DP: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01KRLQG2M
I ordered this 5m USB cable:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MPMFKSI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is the only cable connected to a USB 3 card on my PC. It's not totally reliable but it can work - I'll need to cycle the power on the headset a few times before it will connect properly, but once it's connected it seems reasonably reliable.
I'm using it with this 5m displayport cable which seems fine:

or this one?

Selling mine Pimax 5k+ for $550 if you like to buy it. Relatively NEW, just opened to confirm it.

I just bought a cable with mini do on one end and regular do on the other. Like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7RL33M/ that
I used THIS, THIS and THIS to extend my Pimax. Works great, no problems.
I use 60ft extension cables with no problem but they both contain active electronics.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186DNDR4
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053YLYLC
I think I’m gonna just get this cable
It says “Supports 2K resolutions and below at 120 & 144 Hz”
So I assume it would be fine because the Pimax 5k Plus has two separate 1440p signals?
I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YOVKWQS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the Startech one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055PKO3I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I can't really find info on the HBR for any of these.
I've been using Kiwi Design for Vive. The 18mm is very comfy.

Zoop
I use one of these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DX5OW2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_I.fwCbJRKBWK6
There is this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Pimax/comments/ankbo6/extending_the_pimax_cables/
The USB was giving me trouble so I got this other recommended "Active" one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0179MXKU8/
Just an update. I finally updated to the latest Pitool (144) and my delock cable no longer works at 90hz full FOV. I had to switch to the 10ft cable matters one that many others have linked and that works flawlessly.

and some strips of double sided Velcro to make it thicker if needed.

use the 18mm as front cover (and a cut of 6mm for the nose)
I'm not sure what he uses, but I use these....

This generation the cost to performance difference between the Titan RTX and the 2080ti is just so small. I usually get every generation Titan card, however this generation is just really disappointing. I wouldn't be surprised if something like a 2080ti kingpin edition or one of the other higher binned cards would beat the Titan RTX in some games.
Also the stock Titan coolers are garbage, always have been. To really get the most out of them you will want either an aftermarket air cooler, or a watercooled setup. I've been using these for many generations of Titans on Air https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Efficient-VRM-Cooling-DCACO-V800001-GBA01/dp/B00HHMJIIO/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=gpu+air+cooler&qid=1563843625&s=gateway&sr=8-2
