I can't recommend the Tennmak Pros enough.
I honestly don't think you can find better sound quality f or $30 from anything else. /r/headphones has been raving about them for a while now. I would say bass is slightly emphasized, but really at little to no sacrifice to the highs and mids. If you're willing to spend $100+ obviously there are better options out there, but tbh these beat most things in the sub-$75 range. The replaceable cable too is a huge, huge bonus.
If you're looking for a durable, good all-around dynamic mic for recording/performing, I would recommend the SM58.
If you're wanting a condenser mic, I've been using the MXL 770 for a couple years now and it's been great. Do you have an audio interface? If not, the one that I use is the PreSonus AudioBox.
EDIT: Feel free to PM me with any particular questions. I've been in a band for a few years and working on my second CD. Not an expert by any means, but if you have starter questions, I could definitely give you my two cents.
I'm currently using these and really like them.
They come with 3 different cables that you can change anytime you want and I think they're pretty good for portable use as well, since you can fold them and put them in the bag that comes with them. Plus they aren't too bass heavy imo.
lol, I just got this. Took like 5 minutes to set up, plays records with the push of a button. Just, you also need to buy a pre-amp ~$20-50 and some monitors (speakers) ~$50. I find it a collector thing and listening to them is fun.
Sony MDR-7506
Chances are this what the band used in the studio when they recorded. They're going to give you a really true picture of what the mix was intended to sound like. A lot of headphones emphasize the highs and lows because that "sounds hi-fi" when you try them in the store, but post-hardcore is driven by guitars which are all mids. These are great for the genre.
$100, transparent as hell, and super comfortable. Music sounds great and you could even get away with mixing or doing audio work on them.

You can still hear them. It is loud as hell so no matter what you do, even put concrete in your ears, you will still hear it all. Cheap foam plugs are crappy but muffle all the sound, you can still hear, but not as good quality but it prevents deafening, which is by far more important. I invested in a good $25 set of plugs that do not muffle the sound, they just 'lower the volume' essentially so I still get clarity and can sleep peacefully that night and most importantly no deafness. I cannot go to shows without them.

EDIT: DON'T PUT CONCRETE IN YOUR EARS
Been using my Byerdynamic DT770s for about a year listening to different types of core music, and I definitely recommend them! Not too too expensive either for the sound and build quality they provide. https://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-770-PRO-250-ohms/dp/B0006NL5SM
They also don't make enough cds as well. Give yourself a good chuckle and see how much Returners by The Ghost Inside is on Amazon.
