Presidents Club
Not sure if this is the "best" autobiography since I haven't read too many of them, but I found George W. Bush's "Decision Points" to be a fascinating read. Gives some good insights from W.'s point of view about his political career and has neat tidbits like his "Reading Races" with Karl Rove.
Would you like a book that basically says the same thing? Here's one that won a Pulitzer:
Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World, by Liaquat Ahamed.
It's pretty common historical knowledge that the 1920's were an era of stock bubbles, easy and over extended credit, and immense wealth disparity. The decline of the old economy (agriculture, coal, and railroads) was not offset by the rise of the new economy (automobiles, oils, and consumer goods). The life of the worker in any of those industries was very unpleasant.
Presidents: Every Question Answered.
I love this book!
The Presidents Club: Inside the World's Most Exclusive Fraternity
Historians: Nixon sacrificed American troops in his quest for a second term.
