I always enjoyed the recipes in The Log, like the "Slow comfortable Shrew In the park"

All you need is:

  1. A Bottle of Vladigood Vodka

  2. Half a litre of Orange Juice

  3. Half a litre of Pineapple Juice

  4. A Shrew

You mix the orange and pineapple juice together, give the vodka to the shrew, take him to the park and watch him being slow and comfortable while enjoying your refreshing fruit drink.

Best episode imo, but I would recommend any dwarfer to read the book. It goes so much deeper and they spend years in the game with loads of funny stuff going on. You can pick it up for £2 used https://www.amazon.co.uk/Better-Than-Life-Red-Dwarf/dp/0140124381

You can purchase it for streaming on Amazon Prime. Beyond that, it will probably take a while for it to show up as part of a packaged streaming service like Netflix. I'd think 'more than a year easily' but nobody would really know for sure.

I like it. The goal of the "Ouroboros predestination paradox" was to ensure that the human race couldn't die out if he was constantly doing this loop in time. The "new-lister" is prime Lister's "Son", so is very likely to make the same choices.

FYI, read Rant

The DVD extras could be nice.

I'll be honest, those first few weeks after the accident I drank A LOT. I still hit it harder than I should, sometimes.

But things are still the same when you wake up. Eventually you have to choose to feel the pain and come to terms with what has happened, and that's not possible when you put it off with drinking.

Not saying you have to stop immediately. I didn't. Just that drinking won't make that hurdle any smaller, or avoidable.

Ultimately we can't do anything about our circumstances. All we can do now is try to figure out a path forward from here.

/r/stoicism and this book have been good resources for helping me with processing the loss.

I’d also recommend Rob Grant’s other book Incompetence.

I thought it was hilarious

the US Amazon reviews don't really mention it. the same video quality snob guy posted here because he thinks so highly of himself that everyone needs to know what he thinks...and the other 1-star just didn't like the writing.
