I use a new gaming pc so not sure about laptops but my friend was interested in an asus gaming laptop that was around 900-1000 and had great specs. I’ll update if I find it!

Edit: pretty sure this was it. I like the specs for a laptop as it could most likely run sims on ultra and play other games. Hard drive can definitely handle every expansion pack at once. Ram could possibly be upgraded but I’m not sure about how easy upgrading ram on a laptop is.

Edit 2: in dumb and forgot the link. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ROG-Gaming-Laptop-Processor/dp/B07DMNNRPT/ref=asc_df_B07DMNNRPT/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312727440900&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8137929273840208629&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010487&hvtargid=pla-570399470850&psc=1

Edit 3: ram is great jk I’m just a dummy. Best of luck!

This would be a good example of a laptop that can run sims 4. You want an SSD as opposed to an HHD because an SSD is faster even if the HHD has more storage space. For the purposes of your 10 year old daughter, 128 SSD is more than enough space to play sims. This computer has 8gb of Ram which is what you need as opposed to 4 gb. Its an 8th generation intel Core i3 processor which can handle the game too. But if you want to spend the extra money, you can get an i5.

With it being so close to black Friday and cyber Monday, I'd suggest waiting to see if you can find a computer on sale with these specs or greater, but if you want the computer like today, this is a fine choice. I have the intel core i7 version of this laptop and I love it.

Seagate is a really good brand and has great reviews. I got the 2TB just because it wasn't that much more than the 1TB. There are so many to choose from so you could find a cheaper one too with less space. My boyfriend is into everything technology related so he recommended this specific one. But I put all my Sims stuff on it, and also my older school files. I had the Sims installed for about 2 years before I purchased this so no rush on needing it asap.

if you have clear resin you could put the spider into a mould with the clear resin like those magazines do that give out bugs in resin I once used this stuff https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pebeo-Gedeo-300ml-Crystal-Resin/dp/B0027J1DB2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473324884&sr=8-1&keywords=resin

I’ve played games on Mac laptops for years. They all blast the fan. Get a cooling pad as it really helps to keep them from overheating.

Asus vivioedge something

I run the sims with a lot of taxing mods and over 2000 cc files and it runs really well. It also runs other games well and is pretty powerful for a laptop. Sorry for long link, but here it is on Amazon.

This is the computer I've been using for about the past 4 years, and I've had minimal issues with sims. (Larger games like Dragon Age: Inquisition need to be turned down to about Mid-graphics settings, but other than that I haven't had to go any lower)

The model I use isn't made any more, but newer models are about ~$800 i believe. For just sims, you can probably aim for $600 tops imo. Along with Dell, I have a soft spot for Lenovo and Acer when it comes to laptops being able to run games

This won't be as helpful as what others might offer, but I will say I play Sims 4 in bed on a GTX 1050 4GB. It seems to run flawlessly and with a ton of mods.

I will bet you can find something in your range with one.

Edit: It's actually the upgraded version of this. Almost in your range.

i bought a refurbished Lenovo ideapad off Amazon for about $300 and it runs well with high settings, all expansions and some game packs and stuff packs, and a bunch of mods/cc.

u/Jolly1998 · 2 pointsr/Sims4

This is one I found on Amazon I know it's like $100 more then you wanna spend but I build computers and this is best deal for performance. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-i5-8250U-GeForce-E5-576G-5762/dp/B075FLBJV7

u/abbyabsinthe · 1 pointr/Sims4

I got this one, it's refurbished, so mileage may vary. It's not super great for gaming, but I don't have too many problems with it, mainly just slower loading times (it takes about 5-7 minutes to load Sims 4, and 2-3 minutes in-between loading games and traveling places), and once in a while a little troubleshooting (easy stuff that 5 minutes of googling helps), because Windows and Origin aren't super great together, but for the price, it absolutely works. I bought this one for my mom, and liked it enough to buy one for myself. I do use cc and mods, and unless I have more than 5-6 mods or so, it doesn't effect it too much.

i am using a dell laptop, i7-7700HQ, 16g ram, 1050gtx, ssd $800 about a year ago.

Here is the Amazon link for it.

I have no problems running the Sims 4. (at highest settings)

I have tons of mods and cc and have had no issues with lag.
