I'm so glad you feel a little better. If you ever need someone to talk to, hit me up.

Just remember that sometimes your brain distorts what is really going on, and people do in fact want to help you and you are never alone or without options.

If you have insurance with your parents, try to see about getting into programs like DBT. It's great for emotional regulation and learning mindfulness. https://www.amazon.com/Dialectical-Behavior-Therapy-Skills-Workbook/dp/1572245131 This book also comes highly recommended for distress tolerance.

I wish you well!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Because you are academically oriented, I recommend reading a book by a philosophy professor that examines the history of suicide from the perspective of philosophers and writers:

It was very helpful to me and I hope you find solace in it.

Silent grief by Christopher Lukas helped me to understand the grief i was going through a little more:

He also has an interesting lecture that i had seen before i got the book, although he mentions a book of his i have not read in this lecture 'Blue Jeans':

I agree that a grief counselor and a survivor of suicide loss support group can help.
Your anger is totally valid and I am sorry for your loss and that your family is going through this.
Sometimes, if you and your mom are not on the same level with dealing with this loss, the words of another can help. Even though I lost my sister and not a son, this book was helpful and helped me feel less alone.
Despite the rage you feel, I think it is kind of you to think of your mom. I wish you and your family moments of reprieve from the pain.
