All you need is 3-4 letters to verify the correct word in your 12 or 24 word seed. Some words are only 3 letters long and others can be 7 or more letters. As long as you have the first 4 or those 7 letters the word will be found. You can use crypto-steel but personally I find it to be expensive. It's very nice and sleek but you're paying for it. I got one of these for a fraction of the price. Same thing. Its 304 stainless steel, can house up to 4 letters per block, 24 blocks, plenty of steel letters to use, just cheaper and not as sleek. You shouldnt have a problem recovering your 12 word model t on a trezor 1.

I also have a daily carry, opinel #06 - a little too big for that pocket so it goes in my main pocket.

I plug/unplug my Trezor probably 15-20 times a day so I've also added a magnetic usb connector to it. Bought a dock for my desk at work and home and it's been pretty awesome.

I agree. An attacker's possession of my wallet is unconcerning to me, except for the replacement cost of the wallet. I would add one thing to your setup: Tamper evident bags (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J05F06/). That way you can feel better when returning to your safe deposit box that no one has seen those words.

Probably your only option is going to be a fire and water rated safe. Something like this provides half hour fire protection. Prices go up from there. I'd probably worry more about securely and redundantly storing your seed words somewhere outside of your home.

it offers benefit even for the trezor. the cable is reversible. meaning that you won't have to fidget with the cable and the port and make sure it is aligned the right way. it's more convenient than it seems. even if you ignore that there's still reason to release it with usb c. it's the future. just like how micro usb replaced mini usb. how many mini usb devices are you using these days? probably not many. as time goes on micro usb will be used less and less and everything will just use usb c by default. for the longevity and convenience of the product it would be better to use usb c.

on top of that if it is designed like the original trezor it will just be a female usb port on the device, meaning it shouldn't cause any inconvenience for you at all. the cable will probably come in the box. usb c to usb a.

Which kind of adapter did you try? I think USB-C to A female, e.g. this, should work. Although, I don't have a pixel to test this.

It doesn't work to use a OTG-adapter (USB micro to A female) and a A-male to USB-C cable, since the OTG end should be connect to the phone and not the Trezor.

Now that I have a cable instead of an adapter it functions properly consistently. I also updated the firmware.

Pro-Tip... I suggest getting a stylus if your going to do 24 word seed on Model-T. I eventually had to get my child (small fingers) to punch in the codes since my mits were just to fumbly.

The USB cable that came with the Trezor failed the USB host diagnostics.

I used a Braille slate and stylus to emboss my seeds on index cards. No need to worry about fading or smudging, and the raised dots can't really be pushed down again without a lot of effort. An index card has just enough space to capture a 24 word seed (you only need the first four letters of each word because of the BIP39 spec).
